American Musical Supply’s Payment Plan is a billing program. This means you do NOT need to apply for a new credit card that you may not want or need. The financing is all AMS and AMS’s standards, so there’s zero interest charged and no third party approving your purchase! AMS offers 3, 5, 8 and 12 Payment Plans, and orders that qualify are broken up into equal payments based on the plan selected. The first payment will be made at the time your order ships and will include any applicable fees, taxes and shipping charges. Then every 31 days after your product has shipped the subsequent payments will automatically be made with the credit card on file. Are you wondering how much your payments will be? It’s really easy, each item will tell you if by itself it qualifies for an Payment Plan and how much each payment will be. However just because an item doesn’t qualify doesn’t mean your order won’t. Once you place all of your needed gear into your cart you will see and can select any of the applicable Payment Plans that order qualifies for. After you select a plan your payments are broken out in the payment details as “Today’s Payment” and subsequent payments!

We ship the order shortly after approval, and that is when the first payment is made. If the item is on backorder we authorize the first payment, but don’t actually make the charge on the card until the order ships.

Yes, a payment plan can be paid off early by contacting Account Services at 1-877-281-8332 Mon-Fri 8am-6pm Eastern time, Saturday 9am-1pm Eastern time. There are no extra fees involved.

A processing fee is only charged one time per order, but yes, a processing fee is charged on each new order. This modest fee helps us offset the cost of processing the installments on the order.

No, we do not charge interest on these extended payment plans.

With AMS you are not applying for a new credit card, you are using your own existing card. This means you are more likely to be approved. We also take into consideration your history as a customer with us, which we value. Don't worry about your credit with our 3 pay plans! You are automatically Pre-approved; no credit check is needed when approving a 3 pay plan.

The 12-month payment plan is available on qualifying items only. This information is noted on the product item pages, and your payment options are shown in the shopping cart.

The remaining balance is billed every thirty one (31) days after your product has shipped. The subsequent payments will automatically be made with the credit card on file. To view your next due date simply select "My Next Payment" at the top of the AMS Website and log into your account.

Yes, you can contact the Credit Department at 1-877-276-3711 to see if you are pre-approved. Hours of operation are Mon-Fri 9am-6pm Eastern time, Saturday 9am-1pm Eastern time(Closed Sundays) You are automatically Pre-approved; no credit check is needed when approving a 3-pay plan.

The longer payment plans (5, 8 & 12-pay) all require a credit check and approval. This is customary in most any billing program.

No, the payments are automatically deducted every 31 days after the order ships, so this is determined up front, and cannot be altered. However, this does not change the due date you have with your credit card provider.

No, Payment Plans are only available for use with credit or debit cards drawn on banks located within the 50 United States.

After a payment plan order has been shipped and processed we are not able to add additional items to the order. We can place a new order for you, and if that new order qualifies it would be placed on another installment plan.

Yes, you can make extra payments or pay off the account completely by contacting the Account Services Department at 1-877-281-8332, Mon-Fri 8am-6pm Eastern time, Saturday 9am-1pm Eastern time. There are no extra fees involved.

NFS and DSP items are heavily discounted products, with prices so low we are not able to extend payments on those products.

The 3 and 5 payment plans are based on the total dollar amount of the order. The 8 and 12 payment plans are based on qualifying items and vendors.

Yes, more than one item on a payment plan is allowed.

Each installment plan has a separate due date. The items that ship right away will be on their own installment plan and when the backordered item ships it will also be on its own separate installment plan. But when you add the 2 payments together it equals the same as if they shipped simultaneously.

Yes, you can use a debit or credit card.

Results of the credit check will dictate the credit limit available. This determines the maximum pay plan balance available on your account.
