Product Description

The Full Contact Hardware Tune-O-Matic Bridge and Tailpiece is an innovative solution allows for extremely fast and precise individual string height action adjustments as well as accurate individual intonation adjustments. The Full Contact Hardware Tune-O-Matic Bridge and Tailpiece is a direct replacement for any guitar equipped with the Tune-o-Matic bridge and Stop Tailpiece.

There are no gaps or voids to inhibit the transference of the vibration of the string and the resonance of the body. The "Full Contact Hardware" direct coupling replacement system for "Tune-o-Matic" style bridges mounts directly to the top of the guitar, therefore unwanted spaces between the bottom of the bridge and the top of the guitar are eliminated. The Babicz "Full Contact Hardware" system for "Tune-o-Matic" style guitars offers unmatched stability, increased sustain, dramatically improved fullness and tone along with complete adjustability.

Weight: Bridge 2.3 oz. Tailpiece 1.3 oz.

Full Contact Hardware is an innovative electric guitar saddle solution featuring the patented "eCAM" saddle system, designed by Jeff Babicz. The Full Contact Hardware technology results in increased dynamic range, increased sustain, pitch stability and the ability to fully “lock down” the bridge saddles. String height (action) and intonation adjustments remain secure, even when removing the strings.

Jeff Babicz designed FCH with the intent of gaining the maximum amount of direct string coupling to the body of the instrument. The result is an extremely light weight bridge that provides over 50 times more contact surface per saddle compared to conventional saddle designs.

With FCH, string height or "action" can be set with more far more precision than with traditional saddles. The "eCAM” saddle allows for instant "action" adjustments while maintaining complete contact between the saddle and the body of the guitar. The tiny, conventional string height action adjustment set screws are eliminated. With the Babicz FCH design, the bridge saddle can never "sink" or "shift" while playing. Each FCH eCAM saddle also includes a specially designed “String Height Lock” feature, which keeps your string height setting in place…even during extreme saddle vibrations over time. Precise intonation adjustments are also easily attained and in most cases include a “Saddle Housing Lock” feature.

Full Contact Hardware was originally introduced as a solution for Fender Bass players as direct drop-in replacement for their Jazz Bass and Precision Basses. The technology quickly became embraced by bass players, and soon guitarists were asking for the same solutions from Babicz. This lead to the introduction of Full Contact Hardware bridges for Telecaster, Stratocaster Tremolos, and Tune-O-Matic style (Gibson, Epiphone) guitars.

The best bridge that I have ever used.

Product Review

This is the third Babicz bridge that I have purchased, the second that I have installed myself, and the first Tune-O-Matic type bridge that I've installed. They all ade a huge difference is sound and set up. Installation, set-up, string height, and intonation took just over an hour. As advertised, resonance is greatly enhanced. I don't think I'll ever buy another brand when shopping for a bridge.

Product Review

I purchased the Babicz bridge for an Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro. This was the first electric guitar I purchased so I won’t be parting with it and have completely modified and upgraded it. This was the last upgrade. I had it professionally installed because I was not completely sure the bridge would fit. It did fit but was pretty tight per the professional. The quality of the Babicz bridge is significantly better than the stock bridge (which should not be hard to do). It looks great and is comfortable with no issues when palm muting. The real difference is the sound. The guitar has increased sustain and the action is much better. The bridge allows for an almost infinite ability to adjust the strings individually so action and intonation can be as close to perfect as possible. Looking to buy another one in gold for my Explorer.
