The Les Paul Custom Pro from Epiphone features a solid mahogany body with the added twist of a maple veneer top, which adds a subtle 'bite' to the Les Paul Custom's legendary tone. The Epiphone Custom Pro also features beautiful 5-ply (white/black) binding around the maple veneer top and the back along with single-ply cream binding around the body.

Just like Les' personal Custom, the Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro guitar has a solid mahogany neck with a 24.75 inch scale that's hand-fitted with a glued-in joint for optimum neck-to-body contact, which allows the Les Paul Custom Pro to resonate as one solid piece of wood. The rosewood fingerboard features pearloid block inlays and has a 12 inch radius, a 1.68 inch nut and 22 medium-jumbo frets.

The mahogany neck has a very comfortable and super fast SlimTaper D profile, the most popular profile found on today's Les Pauls. The classic rosewood fingerboard is bound in white and the clipped dovewing headstock features 5-ply (white/black) binding along with a '50s era/Custom-style split diamond pearloid inlay and, of course, a vintage 'Epiphone' logo in pearloid. The Kalamazoo-era bell-shaped truss rod cover features 'Les Paul Custom Pro' in white silkscreen in tribute to Les' timeless design.

    Classic Electronics
The Les Paul Custom Pro features Epiphone's ProBucker pickups, a 4-wire design with coil-tapping inspired by Gibson's legendary BurstBuckers. ProBucker pickups recreate the sound of the original hand-wound ‘PAF’ humbuckers. Epiphone ProBuckers feature all the same ingredients as original PAF and BurstBucker pickups, including Alnico II magnets, Elektrisola magnet wire, 18 percent nickel silver unit bases and covers, and pole screws, slugs and bobbins manufactured to Gibson’s original specifications.

The Les Paul Custom Pro includes a ProBucker-2 humbucker in the neck position that is slightly overwound for greater definition at higher volumes. The bridge pickup is a ProBucker-3 humbucker, which is also slightly overwound to give your solos a wide tonal range. Each pickup features coil-tapping via a push/pull control at each pickup’s volume knob, which gives the Les Paul Custom Pro the ability to be any guitar you can imagine. All volume and tone controls feature full-size 500K ohm potentiometers matched with Epiphone’s rugged, all-metal, 3-way toggle pickup selector switch for long-lasting performance.

    Loaded with premium add-ons!
Other premium features include Epiphone's LockTone Tune-o-matic/Stopbar combination bridge for increased sustain and easy string changes, 18:1 ratio Grover machine heads, a 5-layer bound body top, a 5-layer bound headstock, and a comfortable single-layer bound rosewood fingerboard.

    Les Paul Custom History
The Les Paul Custom made its debut in 1954 after the initial success of the Les Paul Goldtop. Mr. Les Paul himself wanted to convey to audiences that the solid body electric guitar was not a fad but a superb and challenging instrument and that his signature axe, the Les Paul, was the king of all electric solid body guitars. So, Les requested a Les Paul with a custom color finish in solid black and solid white with gold hardware that would blend well with a tuxedo.

The result was the Les Paul Custom, or the ‘tuxedo’ Les Paul, as it became known among fans. The Les Paul Custom quickly became one of the most recognized guitars in the world and Les himself used his Les Paul Custom in concert, on his weekly television show with wife Mary Ford and on his album covers, including his famous duet with pal Chet Atkins, Chester and Lester.

    Dream Come True
What is your opinion of this product?
I've been looking for a guitar for a few years now that I can get a nice, aggressive, power packed tone in a distortion channel from a guitar while also having the ability to switch to an almost acoustic clean with nothing but absolute clarity and sustain. The Epiphone Custom Les Paul Pro is exactly what I have been looking for. I can experiment all I want with different pick up combinations and I can do whatever I want with it. I already have a white custom pro, just need a black one so i can have a more consistent tone as i'm changing tunings for live shows. the only thing I would change about this guitar is sanding down the neck so your hand doesn't stick to the gloss, sanding down where the neck meets the body for easier access to the higher notes, and having it come equipped with lock in tuners (the ones where you do not need to wind the string.) I rate it 9/10.

    Awesome guitar!!
What is your opinion of this product?
Almost a beginner with guitars but when I opened the box it was gorgeous. A Les Paul feels substantial when you have it in your hands and the tone from the heavier guitar is beyond words.

    Fantastic looking and sounding Guitar
What is your opinion of this product?
I have owned Epiphone guitars in the past and truthfully they were less than good guitars but with this one it looks like Epiphone got it right with this one. I love the pickup coil splitting one second your putting out the blistering sound of a pair of humbucker pick ups and with a simple pull of the volume control you have the sweet sound of a fender. this is truly a great guitar

    Sweet Axe All Around
What is your opinion of this product?
I love this guitar. The feel, balance, and sound are truly awesome. I bought this model for the functionality it offered with coil splitting of both Humbuckers and the phase switch on the neck pick-up. All extras that come on this model. I was going to pull the trigger on the Frampton Black Beauty, but it didn't offer any of these. As for the sound, wow! Clean, crisp, bright and powerful. The Probucker 2 and Probucker 3 PAF's really deliver. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a Les Paul but either don't have $2G or have a hard time justifying that expense for a true Gibson. By no means am I knocking Gubson...I will own a couple of them before my time here is done, just when my playing ability grows into one.

Beautiful guitar, especially for the price
What is your opinion of this product?
The guitar arrived in good order, & the setup was almost spot on. The frets were rougher than I liked, but a good polishing solved that problem. It's really solid; fit & finish look excellent, and the tuning is really stable. The ProBuckers sound great, & the phase switching is icing on the cake; somewhat muted but very Peter Green-ish. It comes w/ 10's which I changed to some Elixir Nanoweb 9's, and it plays now as well as any Gibson I've ever played, including the SG Standard I had years ago. I would've given it 5 stars, but the hour plus that it took to smooth out the frets warrants a star...
