    Product Description

For over 30 years Iron Maiden has globally been a driving influential force for Heavy Metal and guitar based rock! Fender and Dave Murray have collaborated yet another ferocious signature model for longtime Iron Maiden guitarist. The Dave Murray California Series Stratocaster is inspired by Murray’s longtime onstage go-to guitar, combining time-honored Strat tradition with the modern roar of three Seymour Duncan single coil sized hum-bucking pickups, the fast feel of a compound-radius fingerboard, and the high performance reliability of a Floyd Rose bridge and nut.

Fender Dave Murray Stratocaster Electric Guitar Features

    • Alder body with gloss 2-Color Sunburst finish
    • Compound-radius (9.5-14 inch) rosewood fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets and Floyd Rose R3 nut
    • Seymour Duncan Hot Rails humbucking neck and bridge pickups
    • Seymour Duncan Mini JB humbucking middle pickup
    • Five-way pickup switching
    • Floyd Rose Original Tremolo Bridge
    California Inspiration
The guitar is directly inspired by the California series ax Murray has used onstage to carve out his long-lasting metal legacy for decades.

    HHH Pickup Configuration
High-output, fat metal tone manifests itself in two highly responsive Seymour Duncan Hot Rails SHR-1 humbucking strat pickups at the neck and bridge, along with another single-coil-sized middle humbucking pickup—the JB Jr.—to balance it all out.

    Floyd Rose R3 Double-Locking Tremolo
Murray's signature Strat always retains top-notch tuning stability throughout the most staggering displays of shredding, thanks to the Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo system at the bridge and nut.

    Compound-Radius Fingerboard
Built for faster play and easier bending high on the neck, a compound-radius fingerboard becomes increasingly flatter as it gets closer to the body, and the modern 9.5 inch radius near the nut is ideal for chording.

    Headstock Signature
The venerable legacy of the Maiden guitarist is commemorated on the instrument headstock, complete with Murray's signature and deluxe staggered tuning machines.

    Pearl Pickguard
Adding a mesmerizing cosmetic touch to this high-gain tone machine is its white pearl pickguard, which offers tons of visual dimension during the most punishing performances.

    Favorite Strat by far!
What is your opinion of this product?
I just got this, and man is it sweet! I love the compound radius neck, the awesome 1000 series Floyd Rose, the true SSS pickup route, the pickups are much more versatile than I had imagined, and the sunburst finish looks great! I'm not sold on the vintage tuners, but Dave has had them on every Strat I've seen him with, so he must be on to something. I have two other Floyd Rose equipped Strats, which I love, and was wrestling with spending $1,000 on a third, but it was the right decision. I love this guitar, and there's honestly nothing that needs changed. It is dialed in, straight from the factory. Worth every penny.

My First Strat Exactly How I Like It!
What is your opinion of this product?
It is sooo shiny. I love it. Plays great, love the feel of the neck. Did some minor adjustments to string height but probably didn't need it. I'm a big fan of having the bridge sit on the body makes for a more stable tuning and playable guitar. I don't play it if doesn't have a Floyd Rose on it. The compound radius on the neck is definitely key for making this guitar playable. I believe they have another model with a Floyd but the strings are a mile off the neck because its a 9.5 radius thus making it shred is impossible. I also have the Adrian Smith Jackson with basically the same setup but its the Indonesian model and lacks a bit of the quality in the hardware department but still plays great. Back to the Strat... Pickup configuration is great too. Sounds like a strat but quiet and not thin like single coils. Fat PAF sound. I'll never let it go. If Fender made guitars like this all the time I never would've bought any thing else.

    "I'm not a Strat guy..."
What is your opinion of this product?
...but I AM a Dave Murray fan, so I was intrigued when this came out. I decided to give it a shot, because even if I wasn't over the moon about it, I still had a Dave Murray Signature Strat. Well, lemme tell ya! The factory set up was NOT very flattering, and I actually put the guitar down for a few days. But once I had some time to give it a full set-up, WOW. The key to setting this guitar up is knowing how to use the micro-tilt. I play fast and have a light touch, so I took out most of the relief in the neck, and then gave the micro tilt some very small adjustments and POW! There's the sweet spot. The action on this thing is unbelievable! It's comfortable all down the neck, and the flatter radius on the upper frets lets you get the action right down on the deck with no fretting out when you stretch the strings hard. The Floyd leaves a smooth surface for your hand (as opposed to those little allen screws that normally tear my skin up) This isn't a guitar, it's a Light Saber!! :-)

Up the Irons! This baby rocks!
What is your opinion of this product?
Way exceeded my expectations. I've had a couple strats and they just didn't seem to keep my attention. This is the one I've been longing for. Thank you Dave for teaming up with Fender and helping them get it right!
