Capitalizing on the natural characteristics of Brass, the Black Brass snare provides a fat and powerful sound with extremely quick response. The Black Brass snare drum uses a slightly thicker 1.5 mm 4" x 14" Brass shell plus a 2.3 mm flanged hoop which adds openness to the sound. The 30-strand snare wire delivers a distinct timbre with a desirable added crispness. Versatility being an added plus of this snare, when tuned high, it explodes with a clear penetrating crack. Low tuning allows darker frequencies to emerge to produce a fat, gushy sound.
