I wish this was my first light controller but I'm glad ADJ developed this device and app. I run a small corporate band that started out with two lights on stands to now it's over 40 lights. The ADJ Mydmxgo lighting control systems is a God send.

I bought this to control 24 uplights and some moving heads for a wedding. At first it was a little challenging try to get it to all work. Once I changed the wireless channel to 12 things got better. The wifi connection was fairly stable. I downloaded an app onto my iPad to snazzier the wireless channels. So I check channels at every location to determine which one has less traffic and I change my MDG to use that channel. I also purchased a generic antenna with more gain than the factory antenna. I also use a dongle from the dmx out to transmit the wireless signal to the lights.
This unit is a little temperamental, but have patience and learn to work with it. Get the best channel at your event and you will enjoy this piece. DJ Paul

This item is great as long as you use it with a iPad. I work small concerts and do t want to deal with learning DMX software. With this it’s super simple. My son works the lighting while I run sound. I love it!

Used at 2 gigs already and it’s perfect. Once you figure out the settings, it’s fairly easy to programs your own shows. Recommended to 2 of my closest friends and they purchased their own this weekend.

This has been one of my best investments ever! The app is simple plus love the pre-sets settings, perfect for a one dj that does it all. The set up of the DMX can be overwhelming, but its not complicated lots of videos out on set up. The DMX out of the box part is easy. I recommend practice setting up before a gig. Thanks DMX!

Software clients are a pain, so was using a iPad.
Have it connected usb c to usb c so it holds a wifi connection.

Plenty of options and control of a lot of light fixtures. Can turn your simple set up to a small Vegas show. I use 2 swarm fx 5’s and a gig bar move. 1st gig was a wedding. The control of the moving heads by way of gyroscope is genius. So you could take your iPad in direction like a spot light on the couple

So great idea and dose do some impressive stuff but the darn thing works only half the time, also the software companies website is horrible trying to download and find updates is a pain. Hopefully they can get all the bugs fixed , this could be pretty awesome.

Just purchased alot of equipment. Got the mydmx go but purchase rockville best part 50 and wedge uplighting to find out I have to pay to use them. If I had of known id done something else. All the bull crap lights and don't even program to one of the biggest brands.

So never using DMX before I thought I'd give in and give it ago with this little gadget. I watched some YouTube Tutorials on this prior and It looked so easy to use and it really didn't disappoint one bit!
Having never stepped into DMX before this has gave me so much confidence now to connect up more DMX devices to this little gadget and all you need is an iPad for a fluid transition!
I also brought some ADJ moving heads and the response time is so, so accurate, and there are so many more functions such as strobe, dimming, freezing, blackout as well as a wheel to choose all your colours more in-depth and you can even connect your smoke machine up this!
Highly recommend and set up time is less than 5 minutes.
