The Akai MPD226 Pad Controller is a Dope pad controller for beat making enthusiasts. It just puts me in a creative mood with it’s backlit pads and great feeling and response. The plus feature for me are the built in mapped templates for almost any DAW including Reason, Logic, and Ableton which I use with all. The MPD226 has increased my workflow and production output tremendously.

The Akai mpd226 hands down is the best pad controller I purchased thus far. It is very unique in its own way, easy to use and on top of that it is affordable. It work great with reason software and I am totally satisfied with my purchase.

Built tough, perfect for using with any daw with a lot of built in presets to control faders and transport such as reason, cubase, logic, fl studio, etc.
The pads are thick and very responsive plus the unit itself is very solid and sleek enough for travel or to fit anywhere in your home studio. Works flawlessly with the MPC 2.0 software.
I am not disappointed with this controller as it has all the options to get the job done.

The Akai mpd 226 is a solid piece of controller gear The pads are top-quality but I’m not surprised at all this is a fantastic drum pad controller for the beginner or professional beat maker this is a must have.
