Product Rating Product Review I’ve been using this amp for at least 20 years. Never let me down. Replacing tubes is super easy. Blow out the finals occasionally. I toured with mine with the Bullet Boys and recorded it on the Kris Bell CD- The Day & The Dark. You can say this amp passes the busy bassist go-to list. I rocked that amp all over the country. Very happy with it.

Product Review I had a svt 4 pro in the past and don’t need that type of power any more So I got this svt 3 pro and it has the sound I was looking for plenty of power and I can run it straight to the PA with out having to lug around a speaker cab. The sound is great! I would definitely recommend Danny B

I always have appreciated what ampeg has done for bass players. Very dependable. I played it at jazz clubs, church services, outside events, etc. I must say the fact that the head is not that heavy. I also have to say that the equalizer was another great tool. I would like to see ampeg get a head that you can save your presets. The tone is wonderful. I believe that it brought the best out all of my bass. It gave me the punch I needed as well as the smoothness I needed when playing jazz. Groovy!!! Its not heavy at all. Love the tone of this thing Nice paint job I purchased this head two years ago. This is one of the best bass heads I have had in a while.

I've only own it for 1.5 months but it has gotten alot of use,so far so good very sturdy built. The best feature to me is the abililty to add a blend of tube and solid state sound depending on what I'm playing via the TUBE GAIN knob. I use a tech 21 rackmount preamp, so I am able to dial whatever sound I want. I slap and pop alot and my head has the function to turnoff my EQ and with my tube gain at about 1 or2 O'clock is just right.

QUALITY:
This amp is literally built like a tank, and VERY solid. I have used Ampeg in the past, so naturally I bought another when it came time to replace my old head.

FEATURES:
The amp itself is extremely easy to dial in your sound, but the only feature I was not too fond of is the tuner out. The only way to use this is by depressing the mute switch ( I prefer to hear my strings, not be surpised).

EASE OF USE:
Like a hot knife through butter, extremely simple, plus the notations in the users manual with suggested settings to get started.

VALUE:
For the price, its not too bad of a deal, and I wouldn't mind having a second unit just in case ( like anything will happen to it).

SOUND:
From funk, to jazz, to metal/rock, or what ever floats your boat.....if you can't get the sound you are looking for, then you might want to think about putting your bass back in the case, because this amp stands and delive

A feature laden tone beast

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
This item is of top notch quality. I expect it to last a lot of years with proper care. One thing I did not like is that when I took the bottom feet off in order to place it in a rack one of the feet's screws had a nut attached on the inside of the amp. After much pain to get the foot off the nut was now loose inside of the amp so I had to take the top off of the amp in order to get the nut out so that it would not cause anything to short. Why in the world would Ampeg put a nut on just one foot and why a nut at all when they instruct you to remove the feet in order for the head to fit into two rack spaces? Everything else is of great quality though.

FEATURES:
Apart from the sound of this thing the features is why I bought it. It has an a/c outlet in the back which allows me to plug my rack mount tuner into the amp and use the amp’s cord to power both units. That keeps me from having to use a power conditioner or having to plug in a bu
