Product Rating Product Review This Amp is one of my favorite amps I have ever played with so far. I have played different amps from the porter flex PF 500 porter flex PF 800 Bugheera Veyron and so on. but with this amp right here, I was able to dial in my tone without doing so many major adjustments, I never lost my focus or strained my head or cabs when I’m playing on a gig. This amp is quite affordable at a decent price, I recommend this amp to any and everybody that is trying to get an all-around sound and tone. This is Amp. I was able to connect it with all of my speaker cabinets without hesitation or regret and pack a punch with each one, If you purchase this amp you will enjoy it and won’t regret your purchase.

Product Review Bought this to replace an older Epifani class D amp. After several gigs with it, I can say that I'm very happy with the SVT7 Pro. Lightweight, easy to dial in and it sounds great. DI out to FOH was flawless in 4 different venues. Mine SVT7 Pro had the Rev H board when it arrived from AMS, no issues to report.

Product Review Ampeg SVT7 Pro is powerfull and has great tone, as a bass player this is the tone I'm looking for. I have also Ampeg Portaflex 800 but this is a better way of expressing yourself as a bass player yourself.

Product Review Powerful amp in a light weight and compact presentation very happy with the tone I'm getting from it at a great price, I highly recommend this product to those of us who can't afford a classic svt 3 or any of those expensive amps.

Product Review I wanted an SVT CL Head to go with my 8x10 SVT Cabinet until I thought about lifting 80 pounds to put it on top of my cabinet. I decided to try the SVT 7Pro. I am very happy with this amp! With the tube preamp, I'm not using any pedals and I get that Ampeg tone that I've been chasing for years. The icing on the cake is , I can carry it with one hand! Also sounds great with my Heritage 410HLF!

Product Review Long story short, sh#$ happens and I accidentally blew up the bass amp head for a band called blue felix. If you don't know them, look them up...They definitely take what they do serious and when I offered to buy them any bass head they could find at AMS, they chose this one.. Enough said

Product Review sadly I returned this item due to the infamous chip malfunction on the main pcb. they are great amps when the main pcb is upgraded from this: "U9 - the ICE2A165 power controller chip which seems to have been a problem in other amps of this model." to this: "replace the chip (maybe with an upgraded ICE2A265 and add a small stick-on heatsink)" I feel I shouldn't have to do this on a new amp BUT, if you do upgrade this is THE ultimate backup amp, can fit in a small 4 space ata w/furman and tuner. oh well.

Product Review I've had this for a couple of months now, used it at a couple good sized outdoor venues and small/medium sized clubs. Mated to an SVT 410 HLF, this head delivers the goods. Plenty of thump and power to spare. Feeling lost in the mix? Engage the ultra high/low functions... problem solved. And, at only 15 pounds, it's not going to break your back.

Product Review Dialed in an aggressive tone with my American jazz. Sounds like a sledgehammer. Smooth jazz nights at lower volumes also no problem. Frequency adjust knob is a great tool. Loud as hell.

Product Review I been playing for many big acts in the past. Recorded many albums. I am very particular about my sound. Getting ready to lay some new tracks for a new CD so I decided to try this amp. Right out of the box it's the great Bass sound I am so used to but only one problem...the compressor was not working so the good guys from American Musical made it very easy for me to return it and they are sending me another. Let's hope this one works. I am already delayed on this project! That's the only reason I gave it 3 stars...I hope it does not stop working in few months.

Product Review I've played through multiple bass amps ranging from Bheringer, Peavey, Gender and Warwick. I have to say this amp head blows all of them out of the water in every aspect. The EQ is quite responsive, the ultra low function allows great warmth and thick bottom on all my notes even in the higher registers. The tone is very distinct and easily heard in a mix even live. Its a little heavy but that's not really an issue to me. If you want to make an investment to get a great sounding bass amp this one should be your first choice.

Product Review The very first time that I played this amp I did not like it.So for months I shyed away from it until I went into one of my local guitar store and they had a rig consisting an Ampeg SVTPro7 and a HLF410 cab with an Ibanez Premiun bass. When I play that rig i was simply floored by the sound. It has that classic Ampeg tone with a hint of GK sound , i sid to myself REALLY.The sound and power were quite good some what similar to my old od rig of an SVTPro preamp.Crrvin power amp and HLF610 speaker cab. Classic Ampeg tone with plenty of power, and its light too coming in at just about fifteen pounds.

Product Review I love this head. I've been playing on one for the last 4 years, and versatility wise, this head can handle it all. from country, to the heavies of the heavy metal. This head paired with the Ampeg 810E classic will rattle pictures of the wall. When played through a BTB bass, the mids and highs just scream. I've played other heads where you either had two options. One being crazy lows with no mids / treb, or crazy mids/highs with no lowend. The SVT7 pro can do it all. Highly recommend.

Product Review I used an ampeg svt4pro for the longest time. If you've handled one of these then you know it's a beast and weighs a ton.. But I loved the tone I got from it. That amp head in my rack case with nothing else but a tuner was (to me) heavier than my 6x10cab.. I got fed up with hauling it around. This svt 7 pro is half the weight and provides a very good replacement for that tone I had.. Almost spot on. Sound great, gets loud, has all the features you'd want.. Can't speak for longevity, since I've only had it for a few days, but I'm loving it so far.

Product Review A terrific amp with the classic Ampeg tube tone and up to 1000W of power, all at 15 pounds???? What's not to love I purchased this amp to have a lightweight stand-alone head to mix/match with different cabinets. My preference for rigs lately has been 2x10 combo amps in the 300-400W range. I've had several other cabinets to compliment the combos, but I figured it was time to get more modular in my rig. Enter the SVT 7, which I purchased locally from a retired bass player. Immediately recognized the tube preamp sizzle from my original '73 and '74 SVTs and also realized my back wasn't killing me after setting it up! Playing thru an SVT 8X10, and later an Eminence-loaded 4X10, there was gobs and gobs of great tone. The preamp and eq sections work like typical Ampeg, with the 5 position mid selector, and the Deep and High boost switches. One area that really surprised and impressed me was the direct output. The tone to my band's recording console was pure and awesome. A+++

Product Review Looks solid, when it worked it sounded great, a classic Ampeg sound. Used the head for a week of rehearsals and 1.5 stage shows. There was no indication that there was anything wrong with the head, no odd sounds, anomalies or smell. On the 2nd night of the show I came back to the amp after an intermission and it had no power. The unit was mounted in a rack and plugged into a Furman. Tried to cycle power, replaced the power cord to no avail. I am not happy. As always, AMS did a great job getting the head to me quickly, and this is not the responsibility of theirs. Ampeg will be contacted. Loved the compression knob. It's one of the features that made me decide to purchase this head. The features are straight forward, and if you like the classic Ampeg sound, this head provides it. Lovely. Smooth controls, easily adjustable to your liking. Smooth and clean. If I got more than 20 hours of use from it, I'd say the price was fair. Right now I feel like a chump.
