I recently made the purchase of the Bose S1 Pro with the helpful knowledge of Glen in customer service at American Musical.I told him of how the speaker would be used and that I had 3 different powered speakers I was considering. He helped me in making my decision without any pressure. I received my speaker and have had a few chances to use it and I am very pleased with the results. I would give Glen in customer service a "10" for his knowledge and courteous service and a "10" for American Musical for the ease and pleasure of making a purchase. I originally purchased a PA system that included the two speakers, stands, and mixer. I was not impressed with the bass and the speakers would sound staticky when using a microphone. AMS was gracious enough to allow me to return the product and trade out for the Bose S1. There is no comparison! The S1 using the same microphone I had used on the previous system had zero static and the overall sound quality and bass are amazing. Not to mention this unit is equipped with a battery where my previous system was not. You truly get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a compact system to use for a corporate setting, party, or just to carry to the beach, this is it. I highly recommend the S1.

You cannot go wrong with the Bose S1. After purchasing one, I immediately purchased another and Blue tooth both speakers together with my IPad using the Bose app. With only one it feels the ambiance of a room perfectly, with two my bedroom is a venue of true uniqueness. The Bose S1 is a must buy.

I bought this to compare it to my EV Everse 8 and there are pros and cons to both. The everse packs a bit more of a punch when it comes to rich deep bass but not by a huge margin, it also has a longer lasting battery. The Bose has the upper hand when it comes to the multidirectional technology Bose puts into them. Both are great speakers but if you want this to use for your back yard bbq’s I definitely recommend the Bose. Id say the EV8 is also great but more for small gigs and should be paired with a second. In my case, the mic and match actually works very nicely.

These are hands down the best battery powered Bluetooth speakers on the market. A friend of mine has the JBL boom box and he swears up and down that they were the best until we compared the two. This small but mighty machine has reduced my gig rig by 60lbs. Not only is the sound quality excellent, the Bluetooth capability and battery operated functionality make this a quick, easy, sleek and powerful tool in my arsenal. Couldn’t recommend this more!
I run both my vocals and my keyboard through this sucker and I don’t need a mixer because the reverb function is plenty for me.

Clarity is great. Would like to have seen a little stronger amp and little larger driver in this. I think that would help produce a little better lows. I would sacrifice operating time for a little more punch since I’m only using 2 to 3 hours at a time. It’s a great sounding speaker though as is. I just think a little more refining it could be over the top.

My wife and I have a standing gig on the patio at a restaurant that can seat around 50 people and all we do is use this system and it sounds great. Everyone comments on how great it sounds and is so light and easy to set up. Our total set up time is now 5 minutes. So glad we purchased this system.

So I've had the S1 for about a year now. I also own a L1pro8. I use this for a monitor when using the L1. But when I want a small light pa to use this is fantastic. Love that it can go anywhere without a cord and play for a few hours. It's easy to use, controls are nice analog dials, no digital 1inch screen with a thousand sub menus to navigate. Plug in, adjust bass treble and reverb and play. Only little complaint is no phantom power for a condenser mic, but its kinda expected.

We brought two of these S1 Pros to use either as main for small venues or as stage monitors and it worked well for both. The first pair we got were defective, but AMS send me replacement ones fast and when I used it, it wasn't bad. It lacked a bit of detail, but these S1 pros did a decent job of sound. Keep in mind that if you keep the S1 pro volume to 12'o clock then it will distort either as main or stage monitors, keep the volume around 11'o clock or between 10'o clock and they will sound fine if you are running it through and external audio mixer.
These are versatile but not as versatile as TS IP300. Overall, they are decent but needs improvements.

We bought 2 of the Bose S1 Pros for a ceremony sound system. These sound great indoor or outdoor. Very convenient and quick set up. Btw, don’t use these for a main dance floor set up, they will distort and clip if pushed hard. Not a big deal, we didn’t buy them for that, just thought I’d share our test experience.

I absolutely love my Bose S1 Pro! I’ve used this for both intimate acoustic settings and home studio. I like the fact that it’s lightweight yet still packs a punch without losing sound quality. When used for gigging it’s nice to be able to have one small unit for both my guitar and microphone. In my home studio I connect it to my DAW and use it to check quality of my recordings. I’d recommend 100%.

I was skeptical at first to buy this system. I kept checking out over a few mouths and I finally bought it as a a system to practice drum too with my iPad and to use as my monitor when I am play out. I found this system is pretty loud and works great with blue tooth connect right a way. It is also a great monitor. It also lives up to Bose amazing sound Quality. I have used it now for two months and I have no complaints.

I'm lucky enough to play different venues as a solo artist. Large and small bars, clubs, etc. I've been carrying around tandem LD Systems P.A. units for a few years now. (which I highly recommend!)But it was driving me crazy to lug all that around for small shows. So I broke down and created a separate setup with the Bose S1 system and couldn't be happier! Light weight and packs a punch. I put it behind me so I eliminated my monitor as well! Friends and strangers alike compliment me on my sound. I don't even use my mixer with this. It has a built in mixer and also has what I believe is a DI for your acoustic. I know it has more functions, but if you are looking for a great sounding, light weight alternative to lugging around too much equipment, this is it! I did buy the cover, but I also had a fair sized back pack and it is a snap to carry around! Highly recommend!

I play smaller venues and I’m always looking to improve my sound. I purchased the Bose S1 to use as a satellite speaker for my gigs and I’m so glad to have it. I can set it out on the periphery of the venue with just an xlr cable from my mixer, no power cable needed!! Light weight makes it a lot nicer to install on a stand if I need to. The sound is sweet. People have been giving me great feedback. It is a dream to transport and setup compared to my old setup.

The Bose S1 truly has no other contender when it comes to portability. I ran this system on its own battery power for over 9 hours. This system is awesome for Wedding Ceremonies, staff meetings, and other presentations where portability is key. When you combine this speaker with a wireless transmitter such as the alto wireless system, you not only have portability, but you also have safety. There will be no cords of any kind for guests or children to trip over. You also have the benefit of not having to run a generator, or 200 feet of speaker wire when doing an outdoor event. You can literally play in the middle of the woods! This is a system every potable performer, or DJ should carry with them. When it comes to the Bose S1, you just can’t go wrong.

Small and lightweight but great sound for a 100x200 area at a festival. I used it as a fill with a wireless transmitter/receiver. The tone and clarity were amazing. And the battery lasted about 5 hours running a moderate volume level. I WILL purchase at least 1 more of these.

Best purchase of 2020. Super loud. The mic input is super clean and reverb is nice and the guitar input is super great too super happy with the clean tone it produces just from my guitar alone. But i bought a battery powered pedal supply as well and now I can use my ditto looper and pedals into the Bose at the park. While I set up my native instruments machine and send the output of that to the aux channel. (Which I was scared for it being such a tiny connection but it works just fine) And I got midi from the machine connected to the looper so it’s all in time. All routed to the Bose. And it sounds super good! Really loud. Allows me to be a one man show and have a channel for my MC still. The speakers and sub on this thing are awesome. It knocks way harder than you would think. The bag is definitely worth it too. Really high quality and great to have. Really happy with this purchase.

I just received this Speaker and it's amazing the thunder and the lightining from this unit will shock you I play this through Power Amp and piggy back RE-Equalizer apps from play store giving me a 20 band Equalizer and a large selection of sound enhancements. I bought this speaker to use as bluetooth whenever I teach classes in nature. I've used this speaker as a monitor, as a primary PA speaker for parties, and I've used it whenever I cook with friends. Powerful speaker. It can overcome other small speakers. The sound quality is powerful. Be careful if you increase the gains, it can cause clipping depending on the music source. Also be mindful if you hook up with bluetooth and use audio cables cuz you can end up hearing music from both inputs! A very bumping speaker for its size and super easy to transport and light. I recommend this product.

I originally bought the S1 Pro on a lark to use in a Zombie bike ride. I put it in the back of my trike and blasted out tribal drums while dressed as a zombie head hunter. Everyone was amazed at the depth of the sound field and the bass response. That was about 90 minutes and the battery didn't even break a sweat. I've since been using it to do solo gigs at intimate venues. I used to use a Bose L1 Compact, but the S1 Pro does it just as well and is considerably more portable. I even got a battery power supply for my pedalboard too, so i can do a 3 hour gig without plugging in at all. The sound is crisp and full, and plenty loud enough (even outside). I appreciate the combo input jacks, (XLR and 1/4") and the bass, treble and reverb on channels one and two. Of course it's also great to have Bluetooth functionality for gigs and leisure. Perfect for break music. The multi positional shape is well thought out, and the backpack is amazing ($150 is a bit much, but well worth it in the long run). The top compartment is huge and can fit all of my cables including extension cords. I'm walking in and out of gigs in one trip. I've never done that before! Thanks to American Musical Supply for making it possible!

I had been on the fence about investing in this product simply because the price seemed like a lot for what you were getting.. Suffice it to say that I regret not purchasing sooner. When I unboxed it, my wife gave me the wierdest look because it looked so small... I turned it on and connected to the bluetooth and boom, even she was blown away! The bluetooth is a nice feature to add, but I was most interested in this product because of the battery pack. I'm an acoustic singer/songwriter type of musician and play a lot of wedding ceremonies, receptions, and smaller venues. This is the perfect system for my gear collection because it allows me to play absolutely anywhere. The onboard EQ and Reverb are great features as well if you're running on battery power without the use of an amp or mixer.. I've come to really enjoy using this product along with everything in the Bose lineup.. built rock solid and next level sound quality.

I went with Bose first for the weight. I was lugging huge powered speakers to solo gigs. Needed something more suited to rooms I was playing. Purchased a huge luggage bag so tip jar, stands, chords, speaker roll in the bag, lug the guitar in the other. Set up is now 5+ minutes.
It fills about any 100 person room I play.
I run an open mic with about 12 channels filled on my board. It has done that magnificently.
The only slight drawback solo, I've found is vocal output is much less than the instruments. Ive run out of room. With 75 to 100 people talking. I fills the room but there is nothing left if I needed to go more.
I have watched a movie on my tablet with BT to the speaker, loved that. Will be trying the battery out at a Christmas party in a few weeks. I have been leaving them unplugged at home. The battery just goes and goes.
It was a huge win so I don't lug big speakers through the winter snow.

Awesome sounds from an ultra portable 15 lb. Pro PA. This Speaker has auto EQ depending on its position. Bose thought of everything, Even has a microswitch in the pole mount. I am a working musician who plays around 4-5 gigs a week, I currently use the Bose L1 model 2 for most everything, but some gigs are small venues and I wanted to have less setup hassle. After buying the Bose S1 pro I was BLOWN AWAY. Not sure how Bose does it, but the quality of sound that comes out of such a small unit is excellent. It’s a monster Bluetooth speaker as well.
Downsides: It’s pricey, but it comes with the battery now and for me worth every penny.

I have owned this system for 6 months or more and it has exceeded my expectations. First to have a monitor system that is wireless is priceless!! The Bose S1s are easy to carry to an outdoor event and with the battery pack, simplicity is at it's best. I have used the monitors for my home studio and along with an old pair of reliable Roland Bi-amp DS-90....sweet! I have also hooked these up to my DJ system with good results. This product is great for djs or officiants that need sound for a ceremony. The best part is that it’s completely wireless. I use it for my ceremony PA when I do weddings. You will get about 4 hours of battery life, which is great for that type of application. I purchased the speaker to use for a barbecue I had and it was a big hit. I can't wait to bring it to other BBQs this summer. I also can't wait to have my nephew connect his guitar to the speaker so that he can perform for us at our next barbecue. And very excited to get a microphone and use this for a fun karaoke night. The sound is loud but very clear and turn half way up was enough sound for a backyard party of 30 people or so. I bought these to do an event whereas I had to setups needed in 2 different locations at the same time. These worked ABSOLUTELY perfect. Here’s the deal: it only takes approx. 2 1/2-3 hours to get a full charge, I DJed for at least 5 hours with these things and they were still on 60% when I shut them off. The Bluetooth range is not as good as I expected but for what I use them for, I don’t need a long distance. The setup was so easy! They fit right on standard poles sizes too! They are lightweight and durable! Thank you Americans musical for making this an easy purchase for me :) would def recommend!?

For the price it should come with the protective sleeve which I bought for an extra $30 and Franky it does not protect that much it has no padding, I also own 2 of the L1 Compact systems both came with the sleeves. And they do have padding.
Come on BOSE! Don’t get greedy it’s a pricey speaker at least throw in a protective sleeve with decent padding!

The S1 Pro is a great piece of equipment to own. Singers will love the clarity it produces for a small PA. My main use for this is guitar and backing tracks. I plug my Godin ACS SA Slim and Gibson ES-275 directly into the PA. The ToneMatch and Reverb sound phenomenal! I use backing tracks via bluetooth and it handles the tracks very well. Highly recommended!!

I purchased this to use as a small booth monitor when DJing at venues with limited space and less than adequate sound systems. I now use this for pretty much all applications and never leave home without it. The sound is exactly what you’d expect from a Bose product, but surprisingly more powerful for the size of the speaker. The Highs are crisp and clear, the Mids are vibrant and fun and the Low End from this speaker puts some larger speaker tops to shame! Worth every penny and my next purchase will be another to Bluetooth pair them in Stereo Mode to make my home studio sound better than when I’m out performing!

I used these for a party and they filled the whole room with sound amongst people talking, playing pool, etc.
I didn't have the volume up to half on the speaker even, and my phone was at 70%. I could've gotten a lot more volume out of these. The connect app is pretty intuitive and easy to use. Will definitely use again for music streaming / acoustic stuff.

I've had this product for only a week and have used it as a monitor, sound system and picnic speaker. With a tip-ring sleeve to XLR, the possibilities are endless. The bass and treble are highly interactive and the unit puts out enough sound to fill a 35x60 room with an acoustic guitar and vocal. I plan on getting another to run in chain. It will be the only PA i will need.

I'm a professional entertainer, this is my only job. I preform everywhere from streets to stage indoors or outdoors the Bose s1 is truly amazing. Before i was packing a small JBL SR 4722 12" and my Crown 5000i amp and Presonus mixer. Thank GOD for the S1! This saves my back and car plus less stage clutter. As a performer I demand professional sound and believe me the S1 will not let you down. I have used this S1 at the Charleston WV Riverfront a few times and at 50% volume for hours without electricity. In fact I've taken the S1 to multiple gigs using the onboard battery and never once died. The only thing that I absolutely absolutely do not like about the S1 is that I didn't buy this sooner.

My Bose S1 Pro has become my portable choice of sound for my Outdoors Farmer Market gigs. (No plug-in needed) I fill The Bose Backpack with my needed mics, cords, and unit. The pocket on the outside of the backpack holds my telescoping 18" mic stand with a little help from a wrap around bungee. With the Battery in full charge, its so simple to walk up, set up & play several hours & get the great sound that Bose is known for. My solo gigs sound is so good, I bought a 2nd Bose S1 Pro to use at the open mics venues I host. The only improvement I personally could recommend would be to add echo effects so as to keep the unit plug-in free. Special thanks to American Music Supply's thoughtful interest free payment plans which helped me out greatly.

So I didn’t know what to expect from this speaker. Having owned the L1, B2 combo, I had no doubt that this will follow in the impressive Bose lineup, and belive me, impress it does! Have no idea how so much clean and powerful sound could possibly emit from this tiny speaker! I had 1 playing for a cocktail hour in the large lobby of a hotel and wow, the bass was out of this world! The instruments in the songs were crystal clear and you could hear the music throughout the entire space.
There is however one thing. When the bass is pushing hard in a rap, reggae or deep house track, there Is some port noise, so you do need to monitor the bass a bit. Not a huge problem. Overall, another great creation by Bose.

This little speaker is amazing! Sound quality is superb and I can use it for multiple applications. I play guitar and it works great as a monitor amp. Bose did it again on this incredible S1 Pro. It's simplicity is user friendly, very basic features makes this easy to manipulate. Very lightweight portability and multi-positional feature is truly helpful. I use it both for practice at home with vocals / instrument, and gigs. One feature I like is the built in reverb where I connect it to my L1 compacts (for larger gigs) and it also serve as a monitor. I wish it has a delay in the reverb to make it complete but overall this incredible piece give me satisfaction in many ways. Well worth the Bose pricing. Add this to your arsenal thru AMS!

Bose S1 is so awesome, I use it on a lot of activities, from just listening to music to small gigs. My friends enjoy it too, The Bluetooth feature we use a lot on Kareoke. All i have to do is type in the song name on youtube and search it in kareoke genre and bam. Instant kareoke bar for my friends and family. And because its battery operated we can kareoke anywhere, indoors or outdoors. Its portability and its long lasting battery life really contribute a lot to its feature.

I have a Bose L1 with Tonematch Mixer, but wanted something small for the small gigs. It sounded fantastic, but the knobs and controls are located on the back side of the thing, hard to get to and see when gigging. Also, I am an acoustic player. It is advertised as a guitar amp substitute, but it is not. It is nothing more than a small but great PA and Bluetooth speaker. Maybe if I did not already have the Bose L1 might have worked, but found myself not using it and sticking to the Bose L1.

I gig in a niche Caribbean Steel Drums market. My instrument has long been associated with playing "cute", "fun" music and producing mediocre out of tune tones. While none of that applies to me, I've noticed that when clients see my Bose speaker, their perceptions automatically change. Its as though owning a Bose product has legitimized my set up.
The S1 Pro is small and compact yet still produces the trademark high quality sound associated with their product line. I love the S1 Pro's portability and the rechargeable lithium battery. As an older musician who transports his own equipment, a small 15bs speaker is ideal. Not having to worry about electrical outlets has made my set up extremely easy. I can literally "Pick a spot" and then start playing.
A large part of my gigs are beach weddings and this speaker has the ability to cut through the sound of the ocean and other outdoor ambient noises. Instead of sounding strained, its easily disperses clean clear sound evenly. While it doesn't handle bass heavy music at high volumes too well, all the other ranges of the sound spectrum sound great. I must say that AMS's payment plan has allowed me to own a fine piece of gear and using the Bose S1 Pro has " Raised my stock".

The Bose S1 Pro simultaneously delivers clear vocals and instrument amplification that only a Bose product can, and all in a lightweight, 15-pound amp. I have used it as a practice amp as well as a stand-alone PA while performing at my local church. Also the Bluetooth function is perfect for enjoying your favourite songs. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and would recommended (and already have) this product to my friends and family. Also American Musical Supply is a great place to do business with.

This little speaker is the bomb! No, it's not as powerful as the Compact or the L1 Towers but, for its size, this thing packs a punch. In my opinion, this thing seems to be about half the power of the Compact. So,it's perfect for small venues. It's perfect for a solo performer, singer/songwriter that wants a plug and play system for small venues. Awesome that it has 3 channels, reverb, and Bluetooth capability. Just plug in your mic, acoustic guitar and you're ready to go! Need to play along with tracks off your phone? No problem! Bluetooth it up. Wish Bose had incorporated Bluetooth into their bigger systems.

This thing is so compact and it will blow speakers twice it’s size out of the water. I brought It to a family BBQ and did some karaoke, easy to use, and kept getting compliments on the sounds and clarity of the speaker. Purchasing experience was easy and with lots of options. Let me start by saying AMS is by far the best retailer of any kind that I do business with. My orders arrive on time and in most cases early. I've been shopping here almost 15 years, partly because the reviews are real, not interwebs magic. The reviews on the Bose S1 pro are spot on. I purchased the S1 for use in my workshop. I have a large DJ rig, Mackie compact pa, home theater, and countless bluetooth speakers. All are great, with the exception of the majority of the overly hyped and priced bluetooth speakers. I thought I was purchasing something to get me by until I found something better, it's going to be awhile for that to happen. This speaker is incredible, the sound is ear nurturing, and it's overall build quality,PHENOMENAL! As you look over your new swiss army speaker you will notice the R&D that went into the S1 pro. The handle placed perfectly, rubberized footings in all the right places, the incredible battery, and the simplistic mixer. The sound that comes out of this little box blows everyone's mind. I'm intent on buying another S1. I watched ready player one last night with the S1 pro hooked up and nothing else and WOW....seriously this bad boy performed better than I had ever imagined. I wouldn't even bother taking my bluetooth speaker anywhere that I could practically bring the S1 to. Sure it's a bit large for bluetooth speaker, but not if enough to be ridiculous. The only thing that's ridiculous is the sound that comes out of it. I had a pool party over the weekend and I'm always the guy who handles the music. Well I showed up and everyone wanted to know where my stuff was. I had a bookbag and wine, they thought I was whipping out some rinkadink bluetooth speaker. The minute I turned on the S1 pro and the sweet sounds of GNR Paradise City came belting out, the party officially kicked off. It was awesome to be able to use a mic for announcements and have bluetooth hooked up too. I have a cheaper speaker that can do that too,but a baby can fart louder than that queen by dre, excuse me beats by dre speaker. The Bose S1 is the swiss army knife of sound systems. It's small, light, and has incredible sound. If you entertain, you should have one.

I own the L1 system and the Mackie Freeplay. The sound is more similar to the sound of the L1 as you don’t have to make a lot of changes to make it sound good. The Freeplay is louder but takes a lot of tweaking to get the sound right. Perfect for acoustic music and small venue pa uses. I use it for wedding ceremonies and it works great!

I am a singer/songwriter and also host a community YV interview show. I needed a portable PA for two wireless lapel mics for my show; I also wanted to be bale to use it for small gigs. I was very pleased at how lightweight the unit is; I am not that young and like having something easy on the back. So far I have used this once for the show, and it worked well using the battery. I hope to use it in the future for some of my smaller gigs. I am very pleased with this unit.

I bought this to downsize my rig, as I play mostly very small venues, and my Crate Telluride is overkill and heavy. I plugged in SM58s and did a side by side comparison. While the Crate had volume to spare, the Bose had a much deeper tone and was less prone to feedback. I also compared it to an LD ultra small PA boasting 150 watts, and the Bose held it's own on volume, but with much superior tone. You really need to turn the volume knobs way up before the Bose gets real loud, and it lacks a master volume, which is a con, but the speaker system and electronics are superior.

Tha Bose S1 Multiposition Portable PA is Bose quality. The range of the vocals is clear and clean. The ability to run a mic, a guitar and a bluetooth media player makes it so practical for many uses.
I teach music during the day, the S1Pro allows me to position it so that it makes for the best listening for my students. I can walk around with my bluetooth player and be able to circulate around my students. The ability to be able to use an xlr mic input allows me to use a mic at the cafeteria or the yard. The 6Hr battery allows me to position the speaker any where in the room or use it where there is no electrical outlet.
As a professional musician I sometimes have to bring in a small compact PA, the Bose S1 Pro does the job, a clean sound.
At my las gig the keyboard player forgot to bring his amp, we ranned the S1 Pro and he was delighted with the sound.
The Bose S1 Pro is a versatile PA system that allows for various musical application and PA purposes.
I strongly recommend it.

I’m very happy with this product! I actually purchased it for various uses. Top use is just a louder Bluetooth speaker for my home . I’m well aware it’s over priced for that use but I love that I can conceal the speaker and daisy chain it to other speakers or Bose Bluetooth products. I also paired it up with my record table! Nice loud and clear. It can be really loud but you start to lose quality and honestly there is no need to blast this at full capacity. The PA is also great! Mixed with the Bluetooth makes a great karaoke.
