This is my first Waza pedal and I can hear Pink Floyd and Radiohead when I play through this one. It has some of the modulation and wacky effects sounds you can get with the DL4. Overall, a warm fantastic sound and looking forward to using this one live.

Truly amazing sounding delay, both pre-dirt and in the fx loop.

The DM-2w is really something special. Dead simple, but lots of vibe and character. Pure analog tone satisfaction. Equally at home in the effects loop for big soaring leads, or in the front of a dirty amp for slapback or surf punky tape echo type of stuff. Very nice delay time range in Custom mode. Will likely go slower and faster than anyone could possible need. If you're looking to keep it simple, but don't want to compromise on tone, this should be top of your list.

Versatile & warm sounding delay

Product Review
The Waza Craft DM-2W Delay is a basic guitar delay pedal. What I like about it is it’s warm character, as well as the feature of flipping a switch to double the amount of delay on tap. Since this pedal is made in Japan, it should last much longer without problems than those made I. China or Taiwan.

Super happy to finally receive my DM-2W (FedEx lost it for a few days). Great range & function with Japanese silver-screw "tank" toughness.
This one won't be leaving my board anytime in the near future!

Okay, boys where to start.
Noise: haven’t had any and I use FUZZ
The rest:
If you want the analog sound with the warm edge on the repeats this is it. It has all the decay nuance and what you expect from the unit with none of the carbon copy’s faults. The delay time is short, but for my uses, even in my ambient mood, it works. This is just the stock mode. The custom mode is a new pedal. It’s twice as long from my ear and it’s for me fun to play with but I find the OG mode more what I want. I use fuzz and reverb and it works well. Band setting, the repeats fade well into the rhythm section musically with no offensive standouts, so it is very good for me. Ymmv but this is my favorite delay.
If you like true analog sound you will be happy.
The waza custom mode is an added bonus to expand its use. This is a great pedal.

This delay pedal is really versatile between the standard and custom modes. Lots of options for whatever style/sound you’re looking for. Doesn’t add too much color to your tone and the circuitry is also rock solid. Doesn’t add any extra noise to my signal chain

Let’s face it. Boss pedals have been around for a long time. This is not my first. They are built like tanks and last forever (from what I can see so far). The DM-2w is just so versatile. Does not disappoint.

Great Sounding Delay

I have played a lot of delay pedals and my typical go-to is a Strymon Timeline. However, there are times when I just need a solid, good-sounding delay pedal that is also simple and easy to work with. This has become my main delay pedal in that regard. I have include it in the loop of my Helix when running that rig and it sounds better than any of the Helix delays. I can change the settings very easily depending on the song/venue and it always sounds great.

Product Review
This pedal is great, high quality, excellent craftsmanship, but wasn’t what I was looking for. The controls don’t work the way a standard delay pedal does, and it’s difficult to dial in a sound I’m comfortable with. I used to own a Boss D-2 years ago and thought this would be similar, but it’s not. This is a great pedal for people who like to tweak with pedals and strange sounds on stage, it gets some very interesting feedback and strange effects, but if you’re looking for a typical delay pedal, with taps, number of repeat, and wet/dry mix, you’d be better off with a standard delay pedal, not WAZA craft.

This is a perfect reproduction of the original. Smooth delay with crazy warbles and pitches when playing with the knobs while playing. The modern switch works great for increasing the delay times without sacrificing that known DM2 tone.

Nails the early analog style delay tones. I have been playing it non stop since I got and absolutely love it. I think it sounds best before any overdrive/distortion unlike most other delay pedals. American Musical is the best suppler in the country!

Amazing for slap back

Product Review
The pedal is straight forward - knobs are self-explanatory and the switch lengthens the delay time and cleans up the repeats slightly. It is built very tough, no worries about it breaking. The repeat rate is only usable to about 2/3 of the way to max delay length, as a whine becomes apparent - but that's normal for analog bbd's. By switching to 'C' mode, 2/3 of the way up is plenty of time for most things, but I use it in 'S' mode with the rate and intensity pretty low for Day Tripper type slap back, and it sounds amazing for that.

Why pay 300+ for an original that has a very limited delay time when this one does that and more? I remember when the digital delays rolled out you couldn’t give the old analog units away. No joke the delay time was only 300ms so other than slap back they really blew for delay. I used mine as an echoey reverb. The old digital units that first rolled had bout same delay time as this unit but the trade off for longer times was tone and warmth. Now you got it all and cheaper. After everyone found out how sterile digital sounds they wanted the old delay sound. Then the prices got just retarded. I ran 2, one tone echo and one for delay time. Still might but no digital for me!

Had this for about 6 months now and its the real deal. I have an original I bought on e-bay a few weeks ago and the new DM-2W NAILS IT PERFECT!!! With the new model you also have the custom mode that sounds great with longer delay time and very warm. I find myself spending more time in the custom mode. its a great delay at any price !!!
