I was looking for a portable processor that would give me the sound capabilities of my other Boss processor. I have to say, I was astonished. The GT1 is a completely capable processor that has the portability and versatility that really can’t be matched in this price range. I am completely satisfied in this purchase and would recommend this processor to new guitarists and seasoned guitarists alike who are seeking a product with these offerings.

Truly exceptional piece of equipment. One of the most inexpensive modelers on the market with a wide variety of high quality effects. Great functionality too due to the software downloads but loaded with excellent presets right out of the box.
Massive amounts of user patches are available from Boss's website & YouTube as well. If you're thinking about pulling the trigger on this one I doubt you'll be disappointed. Excellent service as always from AMS too.

I’m a veteran guitarist …never thought I’d like modern multi effects…this unit has great sounds…plus I grew out of the stomp box units from the 70s…I use one of these for portable use and ordered a gx100 for stationary situations with power plug….purchase one of these if money is an issue…if not order a gx100 u will love both units

Having the same effects Hendrix used, Crybaby Wah, Octavia, etc. this box makes your old setup obsolete–in that you might forget about a bunch of bulky pedals or pricey multi-effects boxes. Ran this into the little 30 W mini Orange stack AMS recommended & doubt even a 100 W Marshall or Orange stack are this easy to get dozens of great tones out of–new levels of creamy clean or dirty sustain or feedback beyond anything I ever heard, even 200 W Marshall or 300 W Fender tube amps! While the former gear are great for filling stadiums with raw power, the sensitivity to feedback is almost out of control–this setup is ready for studio work & hit records.

Being an entry level processor I didn’t set my hopes too high, but when I plugged it in…OMG!
I’ve owned the Boss GT1000CORE among many other processors including the HeadRush pedal board, and I’m here to say that the Boss GT-1 is a legit contender.
Top notch effects and usability, and it’s battery powered so you can record ANYWHERE! If you’re a video content creator this is a must have for producing quality recordings in amazing locations that may not have electricity available. Buy this! You won’t go wrong.

First, this is a GREAT product. There are enough effects to keep anyone busy and sounding great for a long time.
Second, the on-board interface is not horrible, but it CAN be a bit tricky to navigate. I would HIGHLY recommend downloading the Tone Studio software from the BOSS website to help you in this area.
The Tone Studio software makes changing the individual pedal settings easier than it is on the device itself.
The Multi-Effects box is well-constructed, sturdy, and travels well in a gig bag.
I really like this unit and I think you will too.

The many guitar effects are awesome. It is a staple when it comes to laying down any guitar in my studio. There is nothing really to dislike about the GT-1. I've had it for several months now, and have been happy with it. The GT-1 exceeded my expectations. When recording guitar tracks, it is the first processor I go to. Whether I'm play lead or rhythm, the functionality of this unit allows me to find the right tones for any project I'm working on. I love how you are able to adjust each preset to your liking. For such a small unit, BOSS knocked this one out of the park.

I use this live in my church, at home with my iPad mini using garage band, and for jamming with YouTube videos. That's just the short list. Ive had it for a year and a half and still love it. I use an Ernie Ball volume pedal out of it to save wear and tear on the built-in pedal. My size 15s are a bit much for a small pedal like this. Seriously, this thing has a bunch of tones and you have access to Boss's tones online. Editing is a breeze with the free software. For a new player that needs power on a budget, this is the go to pedal. Oh, I'm a geezer and it's very user friendly.

This was my first purchase from AMS 3 years ago. It's a great portable unit that sounds every bit as good as the GT-100 at about 1/2 the size and cost. The only drawback is it has to sit in front of the amp, no 4CM option.
If you like the sound of the GT-100 or ME80 then you will feel right at home with this. The Tone Studio software is the same as all of its big brothers and easy to navigate.
Sounds are true Boss through and through so if you don't like COSM you will be dissapointed.
It's super lightweight and sturdy for what it is. It's a great MFX for a clean amp or to slap a pair of headphones on and jam away. If nothing else, get it for the TeraEcho!!

I have tried modeling pedals a number of times over the years and was just never happy with the actual feel of the sound. I was not holding my breath on this 1 but was not just pleasantly surprised but Blown away! I Love it!! watch some tutorials about using the assigns. You can have any one of the control switches execute multiple actions at once but does not have any of the presets set up that way by default. Definitely get a dual latching pedal to go with it I believe both Beringer and Hosa make one for a lot less than the Boss versions that do the exact same same thing and you will be all set this Pedal is a Monster> I am running through a an Ion Rechargeable Bluetooth speaker and is sounds Awesome!!

The device itself is awesome, and I love that I can edit patches locally on the device or in the software. This is the first multi-effects pedal I've ever owned, and the pedal seems like the range is a little limited. The bosstonecentral website is pretty much amazing for a guy who has trouble figuring out all the adjustments a particular song or guitarist uses.

Picked this up as a backup for a L6 Helix and I'm impressed with the sounds and ease of use. Amp models are surprisingly good and effects are typical Boss quality. At 2 bills this unit is a great deal! Small and convenient. Perfect!

I haven't used it much. It's for my fiance to have a few more sonic options. She can't really mess it up too much, and it does the job. My only issue is setting up sounds can be a bit challenging at times, but the fact that you can plug it in to your computer to edit everything makes up for that. The switches are passable, kind of mushy though. the expression pedal feels VERY unnatural as well. The underside is plastic, but it seems sturdy. for $200, you can't really ask for much more.

Incredible value and sound through front of house. It also works well in front of all my tube amplifiers (old bassman, old bandmaster, pro reverb, old Supro etc etc). Makes my Pro Jr amps come alive. Remember to program it at gig levels otherwise you may have issues. More tweakable and useable than my Katana amp. Buy it.

This Multi-Effects unit is really cool. I have been playing guitar for more than 3 decades. As the years go by pedals have gotten more and more complicated to create patches and use. If you are looking for super intuitive user interfaces, this is not your pedal. The Boss ME80 is more likely what you want. If you want a whole lot of useable presets in a light weight pedal, this is it. The GT1 is very good at what it does. It's versatile and the loop feature is fantastic! For $199, go for it.
