I’m a professional musician and gig 2 to 8 times per week.
The GT100 has been my main rig for 6 years. Living in Florida most of my gigs are outside and on cruise ships. My gear is always exposed to the elements. This is my second gt 100. My first unit literally rusted from the inside out after 5 years.I tried the Helix, fractal, pod go and just about every other processor out there. Nothing can stand up to ease of use while on stage. I found the controls to be to close together on the other units. This is one of the main reasons I bought a second gt100. It’s always reliable and sounds great.

This thing has endless possibilities, just download the tone studio from Boss and the sky's the limit. Rather plugged into an amp or direct into the PA it sounds amazing. Tons of presets that are great. Hooked to a computer to unlock the potential of this thing. AMS rocks!

Consistent great Boss quality. Great easy to use foolproof interface. Built solid as a rock and will last for years. Never run out of DSP. EVER. Two amps at once...looper..manual pedalboard mode or preset. Effects trails..literally get any tone you want or can create. A true proven workhorse and would recommend to anyone looking for proven Boss quality at a super affordable price point

What a great system. Whatever playing style you choose the GT-100 has the right Sound for you. The ability to save and return to your favorite effects saves time and frustration, especially if your a musician heading out to various gigs. It’s well worth the money! If there are any bad reviews of the Boss GT-100 , there from someone who just can't figure out how to use it. I've had mine only for a week, but in all fairness, I've had the Roland SE & ME Processors, & all of the Boss GT series effects units.(One day, the GT-1000) Tweaking patches is easy, the sound is superb coming through my 2 Boss Katana 50's. Most effects units have a lot of Rock and Blues patches ,as does this one. Surprisingly, the clean patches are to die for. Haven't even downloaded any extra signature patches yet, I can't wait. Super easy to use , I expected a lot of sound, and I got that and more. Very pleased with this purchase !

I replaced my BOSS ME-80 for this BOSS GT-100, and it is one of the best choices I could have made! The programming parameters are just so easy to deal with "on the fly", which is while performing, while the sounds created are the best I could have imagined. I have hade dozens of stump boxes thru the years, but this compact "all -in-one" GT-100 matches them all. I played thru the BOSS GT-100 that belonged to a musician friend, and I was blown away! I immediately purchased the BOSS GT-100, and replaced the ME-80. The LED large readout lets me see from afar exactly what sounds are switched on. I have no complaints about this unit so far.

The possibilities with this pedal seem endless and easy to navigate. The premade patches are fun to mess with and gets your mind out of being in a rut along with the looper pedal built in (still try to figure that function out timing wise). I took a minute to look over the user's manual. It has easy to follow diagrams and even shows you that you can assign the pedal to switch your amp's channel as well. Helpful if you have the Roland's cube amp since it doesn't come with a foot switch pedal. Overall I'm pretty happy and excited about the pedal. Hope this is helpful to people.

This Boss GT-100 is the best gear decision I ever made. With standard stomp boxes, there were too many combination to purchase to sound like all of the genres and artists I play and I still didn't have a looper or any modulation pedals. With the GT-100, I have a tuner, wah, volume pedal, looper, modulation, and any amp / pedal combination I want. The on screen controls are easy and the computer Boss Tone Central is just awesome. There are some amazing patches out there. If you are on the fence, get one. You will not regret it and AMS has the best payment plans to make your purchase work for you.

Boss makes the best effects processors by far. Sure there are expensive custom made effects out there that might be a little better. But as for those of us that cant afford custom machines, Boss is the top of the heap and American Musical makes it so easy to own these electronics. I must admit that I was ready to send this thing back to AMS after only 3 days. But, now that I am learning how to use it I am glad I bought it! It wasn't easy but most things that take a little effort to learn usually turn out to be worth it. In this case the effort is worth the reward. I love it. It has everything that a guitar player would ever need in an effects processor. I am very satisfied.

The Tone is impeccable reacts like your favorite tube amp. That digital noise that drives us up the wall is gone. I’m back to using my volume and tone knob between rhythm & lead, or set up 2 different patches. I have tuning OCD so I ran my Polytune 3 in the FX loop with my Soul Food so I don’t need to go into tuning mode and I can see if I’m in tune at all time. I can’t say enough great things about it. For recording you can use the USB for reamping or the dual 1/4 output into your interface or all at the sametime. Using the expression pedal and being able to set the sweep is also a big plus. If you are use to your favorite Wah you can set the sensitivity up to match it.

I love the GT100!!! The sounds are amazing and my wife is happy that I’m not buying tons of amps and effects. Seriously, the GT100 is amazing. I’ve had other multi effects units and thought of them as something just to toy with at home but this makes me believe that a unit like this can be useful live. Try the 4 cable method and you’ll see how this integrates so well into your amp. I’m blown away by the ease of use and editing and by the effects and amp models. I’ve already started using it in recording and some live stuff. I’m looking forward to creating more patches and maybe I won’t have to lug around my big old pedal board anymore.

Had it for about 6 months now, and past the honeymoon stage.
The effects sound great. I dont think you can beay them, especially in this price range. The amp models are decent,but take a lot of tweaking to sound really good. My biggest issues are with the interface on the pedal. It's awkward to impossible to adjust anything "on the fly". A lot of features aren't very intuitive. The tap tempo,for example, is almost hidden. The Tone Studio software is great, and is really the only way to comfortably and intuitively tweak anything, and there's some cool artist presets available, which you'll need because all of the included presets are garbage. The sensitivity for the expression pedal on/off is adjustable,but even on the lowest sensitivity, it's hard to active in a sitting position.
This wasn't a pedal I pulled out of the box and immediately enjoyed, but once I started working with the tone studio software, and being able to dial in tones without going through a dozen screens on the pedal, I started to love this thing. It can do a lot of stuff, but is inhibited by the poor interface on the pedal. And several features aren't very intuitive at first. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is this reason. You'll need to spend some time with it, but it's worth it in the end. I have a rig that I love, but got tired of tap dancing on stompboxes. With the added feature of being able to use this as a footswitch for your amp (if it has a simple a/b switch),this thing can replace your whole pedalboard unless you're really into boutique pedals. Basically, if you like boss pedals, this thing is like having all of them. It's not going to replace your amp, though. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the interface on the pedal, it's too much digging through menus.

Quiet and loaded with a massive sound library. The greatest guitar sound machine ever devised without all the hassle of 500 + pedals and 10 amps! No problem in the studio and it plays nice with the ssl and studer. Not much need for outboard processing! Love it!

This was between line 6 Pod HD500x and the GT-100 I bought the line 6 first great sounding models but effects weren't all that, being a former owner of a GT-5 thought I would give the GT-100 a try after all it's 14 years later right, this thing is beyond incredible, the quality are studio sound ready there is NO COMPARISON with the HD500x. Boss Clearly on top with this unit

The Boss GT-100 is the best pedalboard I've ever owned. There's really no upgrade from here - this is the top of the line.
The tone possibilities are endless, the effects are of an incredible quality, the overall sound of the pedal is huge, and the amount of expression you can play with using this pedal is astounding. You'll pay a lot for this, but it is worth its weight in gold. If you're a serious performing/recording guitarist, get it. You won't regret it.

Your general opinion of this product.
Impressive. Almost perfect. I have a GT-8 (awesome for its day), a GT-Pro (even more awesome even for today), and the GT-100. I own a ton of Boss pedals as well. I have owned the GT-10 but flipped it shortly after buying it. Point being, I have a very good point of reference to compare the GT-100 to its predecessors. The GT-100 has lower floor noise than the aforementioned. I
Typical Boss build quality, only better. It is heavier than the GT-10 but still quite mobile. Solid as a rock from top to bottom. All connections are snug.
Plug in, pull up patch and play. Sure you can obviously adjust the stock settings but they sound pretty sweet right out of the box. Controls are well though out and well positioned for easy access.
It can pretty much create any tone you have in mind. Very versatile.
I expect zero problems. It's a Roland/Boss product.

I'm impressed!And I've owned all of the multi fx pedals. I'm very obssessed about my guitar tone and the effects that I use. I've been playing professionally now for over 30 years. I play in three very successful corporate bands and my gear has to be evrything that I expect. I've had monster rack systems for years and in the past 10 years have just stuck with a very basic setup, my Multi-fx pedalboard fed directly into my amp(s) and I'm always getting compliments about my sound and effective use of the pedals I use. This upgrade from the GT10 is by far the best one a pro musician could want. Easy to use, easy to navigate through, very good effects and Amp models. As realistic as you could expect from a rack setup but without the weight and footprint on stage. Get this pedal if you're serious about tone, ease of use, and it's reasonably priced in comparison to what others offer for the same or more. Get this pedal, it's seriously badass!!!

Nice finish. Glad they went to a black finish unlike the GT10. Black is always very cool.
