I'm using this to bypass my amp's preamp section so I can feed certain OD and distortion pedals right into my FX loop / power amp. Does the part and works great.

Perfect for split circuit bass pedal boards

Product Review
I've been looking for the perfect way to run an unaffected parallel circuit in my bass pedal board for years. With the Boss LS-2 you can control the dry signal level and the wet signal level independently. Just run a patch cord in one effects loop and you have a clean signal and you can adjust the effects level with the other effects loop. You never lose your low end or punchy clean signal. Works perfect and the Boss stuff is built like a tank. I've never broken one in 45 years of playing.

Solid pedal as expected. A good use is to run one loop and then just run a cord for the other loop-then you can use both and mix in the dry wet sounds using the volumes of each loop- especially bass players that dont want to buy a 300 distortion pedal for the feature. Otherwise in general use is great for getting effects out of chain when out of use.

Play bass and love effects. However most distortion, fuzz, or overdrive pedals rob my bottom end. I’m able to blend my signal: keeping my bottom end while added my effect. Great pedal, must have for any pedal board!!

Useful tool for bass!

Your general opinion of this product.
! I'm able to mix my few effects in the loop(s) alongside of the direct sound of my basses going to my amp. This is great, because most effects like chorus or phaser can compromise the punch/tone of the bass itself, unless mixed in as an enhancement this way.
It's the typical "beefy," solid, Boss construction. It's good.

It has no tone of its own & it doesn't seem to color my tone at all.

We'll see. Boss pedals have always proved reliable for me!

LS-2 Does just what it needs to!

It seems like your typical bomb proof Roland product.
So far 100% Though I haven't had it all that long. I would expect it to be working fine in 25 years like the rest of my Boss pedals.
Your general opinion of this product.
It's a solid Boss product, having level control for both channels is a godsend as some pedals really like to be pushed to get the best sound out of them.
Heavy like a little Boss Tank should feel, like it will stand the test of time.
Tone in is the same as tone out, all you could ask for in a line switching pedal.
Paint was fine and blemish free, as was the stenciling.
Action? well, the switch works fine! This isn't a guitar you know!

It's a Boss pedal...I need say no more.
Your general opinion of this product.
This is a great product for controlling signal path and levels on my efx board. I currently run a phaser on one loop and a flanger on the other. They are great pedals but have a delay when you engage/disengage them. The LS-2 allows me to kick them in and out of the chain without noise at perfectly matched levels.

Tone is totally transparent
The pedal was flawless out of the box

This saved my pedal board!

Your general opinion of this product.
QUALITY:
It's a Boss and built strong to last. I don't anticipate ever needing to replace it.
FEATURES:
Lots of uses but I needed it to run 2 separate channels for my pedal board. I'm able to have a different volume level for my Distortions and OD's and another level for my reverbs and modulations while still being able to channel out mono to my amp.
EASE OF USE:
Very easy! Very intuitive. I like that!Directions are very clear w/ diagrams.
VALUE:
Yes! Saved my TONE!
SOUND:
The sound quality is excellent! I was having a problem w/ my BD2 amping up my volume so much it rendered my vol pedal ineffective.
I tried using my EQ to adjust vol but it affected the tone of my distortions and OD's.
Called Boss and they recommended this and boy were they right.
Now my sound is balanced and I'm able to maintain my dist&OD's tone that I love so much!
What a pleasure!

Your general opinion of this product.
i wish there was a way to select, on the fly, which of the different a/b/y options, and in the a-b-y opiton, I wish I could go from one immediately to the other without cycling the\rough each option in sequence (if i was on "a" and wanted "y" I'd have to go a>b>y instead of a>y
