Product Review This thing is sick, when I was looking for a pedal everybody told me to stay away from multi-effects pedals. They were so wrong, there are so many different tones and options in one little package it’s extraordinary. Flanger, chorus, and fuzz are just a few of the effects not to include the dozens of preamps and overdrive style settings including tube screamer. At first it was tricky to get the hang of so hold on to that instruction booklet, other than that it’s extremely extremely versatile.

Product Review I needed an effects pedal all in one that could replace all the other pedal boards I have created. I have used the Boss’s other processors so I knew the quality would be good. This board satisfies all my needs. The effects are top notch. I use my own OD pedals and Blues breaker pedal for distortion which I think this board does seem to lack. The distortion doesn’t sound as good as individuals even from Boss’s assortment but was not what I purchased it for. The delays are crisp including the analog which I prefer and then if you add the dozens of other affects this board offers, it more than pays for itself. At this price you can’t go wrong for just the reverbs and delays alone. Not including tremolo, choruses, pitch trims, fender pickups, fender bright tones, etc. This will easily replace many affects pedals you own at a fraction of the price. Also you can download patches amor setups emulating other tones from artists or submit you own with the usb hookup on the back of the product.

Product Review So far I am amazed. Having wrestled with the pedal board nightmare (because I'm on a budget), I sold several of my pedals, bought this and gave it a try. I am pleasantly surprised. Very low noise. It must be a distortion guitarists dream. I am not. Still, the Pre-amp and EQ with a pinch of Delay and Reverb make this an excellent choice for getting a good sound ... a lot for a little. At 38 seconds the looper is almost helpful, but, doesn't quite make it. You can use an acoustic guitar with it, which is a plus. So much stuff you may never use, but it's there for rare use. It's a no-brainer really, get one.

Product Review I am a helix user, and it can get pretty heavy to carry around to gigs but the me80 is small compact and powerful. U can dial in any tone you need for pretty much any genre of music

Product Review I've been playing for more than 50 years. Generally I feel if you can't get the sound you want from just a good guitar and an amp, you don't need it. But occasionally I like to flavor the sound with stomp boxes. I owned the ME70 a few years ago and it was great. This ME80 is every bit as good and then some. It is solid, and well built. The effects sound every bit as good as individual stomp boxes. There is no 'menu' to open up and reset and no 'computer engineering degree' needed to use the intuitive and simple to figure out setup. If you ever used a pedal, and can turn a few knobs, you can figure this out in minutes. I will probably never use every sound and effect this unit has but it is nice to know they are available. The blues overdrive setting, a little delay and some compression sound sweet together! For the cost of 2 or 3 stomp boxes, you get a unit which faithfully reproduces literally dozens of separate boxes. Could not be happier than I am with the Boss ME 80.

Product Review The modulation effects are everything that they should be. The phaser, flanger, tremolo, and delay are all of the quality standards that boss is well known for. Each functions smoothly and doesn’t cause signal drain while engaged. The way is a little temperamental, but once you figure out the sweet spot, you will be fine. This pedal combines so much that the parts are far more than the whole. The one thing that some may take issue with are the distortions. If you have a tube amp or a good analog distortion from your amp, you probably won’t have much use for these. With tweaking you can get some great sounds, but each takes work, so you’d probably want to save it under a patch so you don’t have to dial it in every time. This is a small issue though. There are so many toys to play with, you can spend hours just tinkering with the modulation effects. I previously had an ME-70 and I will say that the upgrades to this unit are pretty nice. The extra pedals allow for more control options.

Product Review Having such a large variety of effects in one unit that is both affordable and easy to use has focused my attention back on playing guitar instead of fumbling around for a good sound. The knob based interface eliminates menu-diving and is very intuitive to guitar players that have owned a pedal or two. I have to admit that for the first few days that I owned the ME-80 I got caught up in discovering the endless combinations of tones and effects that were now at my fingertips, but once I familiarized myself with each preamp, overdrive/distortion unit, delay, and other cool effects, I got back into playing with a newly restored confidence in my sound. Whenever I want to get a certain sound, dialing it in only takes seconds. On top of that, the construction is everything you'd expect from a Boss product. Solid and ready for years of abuse. And for the price of 3 Boss pedals, you're getting an entire assortment of them including Tera Echo and Overtone. True story: The other day I was standing over the unit and my guitar strap slipped. My Fender Strat went straight down onto the top of my ME-80 with a bang. Panicked, I inspected it while turning each knob searching for damage. Everything was fine. However, my guitar now has a nice little hickey on it from the incident.

Product Review Product was everything it said it was and easy to use. They should add the 9 volt power system with the purchase. The looper could be longer. BUT! I love this product and would recommend it to any musician . Also it arrived on time , just in time for a show! Easy to transport because of the compact style. Cuts down on gear size.

Your general opinion of this product. Every other muilti effects pedal i had played either needed more effects or was way to complicated to operate. With the Boss ME-80, i have almost every tone i need ever. i suggest any guitarist at any level of playing to buy this, you will find your sound its extremely sturdy, everything is well placed, heavy(which i like) and it starts everytime. nobody can ask for more the that ehh, grey is cool, i just thought they should have kept the black from the ME-70
