This is my first keyboard I’ve bought that’s replacing my grandmas old Casio I salvaged from her garage years ago.
There’s a lot of great features here. I’ll start with the cons to help out future shoppers. The 5000 doesn’t have an option for batteries so it’s a little less mobile, but it comes with a power adapter.
also the keys are not weighted so clumsy folks like me will bump other keys occasionally. Not a big deal but those are the 2 things I didn’t consider before buying
The pros, sounds amazing. These two 15w speakers really put some oomph into the low end. Some of the organ and synth sounds blew me away with that bass output.
The split and layer functions work well and easily. Adding a huge amount of variety to the sounds you can use.
Defs plan on spending some time with the manual to get to know the finer points. It took me a bit to understand how to use certain buttons and find the advanced settings. But after learning one time I can change things quickly and efficiently.
Im gonna need to take some time to understand the multitrack recording function but it seems straight forward enough.
Overall very satisfied with the purchase. Having a ton of fun learning and looking forward to mastering the amazing features.

Sounded great, i was able to use it as a midi keybourd with FL studio and as a color keyboard for strings and bass at church. But....its gone poof on me. i will not even come on anymore. So that was a wasted 400 bucks. Never again on CASIO

I can only think of the money I could have saved, if I had made this purchase to begin with. I love the Casio CTX 5000, it is so many things in one instrument, all at your fingertips.

Product Review
This a a typical solid keyboard from Casio. Good price point, lots of features, some things can be improved. The things that are lacking are things that Casio should realize keyboardists look for and add. The B3 sounds are okay, not great, unlike the other sounds, which are very good, and there are no combo organ sounds on the keyboard, which are always useful. Also, the mod button works, but it shouldn’t cost much more to put a real mod wheel on it. Not a bad board at all, and it runs on batteries as well as AC, which is very appealing. On-board speakers are also good.
