Fantastic axe! The most affordable Charvel out there. Neck is outstanding. I really like the white satin finish. It seems really hard to scratch or blemish. This guitar is nothing fancy, but even the D designed pups sound great. Probably won’t switch them out. I just swapped white pick up rings with black ones and it looks even better. Can’t go wrong with Charvel.

This guitar was perfectly setup out of the box and came ready to blaze. It has a licensed Fender Telecaster Neck and it’s just simply a beautiful guitar to look at. The body is solid and heavy as it’s meant to be played hard and rough. The pickups are amazing as well and reproduce the sound of Gojira on point. If you like to play heavy and hard this is definitely the guitar for you. Without doubt, this is an incredible design job for this amazing signature guitar. I highly recommend. A+++!

My son had been wanting this guitar for a long time. We purchased it for him for Christmas. After pulling it out of the box he was shaking with excitement taking off the rest of the packaging.
This was very safely packaged. My 22 year old says it’s a dream come true and even better then he ever could have imagined.

This thing far surpassed my expectations for the price, the guitar is extremely resonant, and the pickups are actually really good... I put it through my EVH 5150 III 50 watt and it sounds exactly like Gojira. Fret edges are rolled smooth, and the guitar feels great, very low action too. Only issue was the frets are a little scratchy when doing bends, and the volume pot is low quality, when rolled off it sounds thin, easy fix though, just steel wool the frets and replace the volume pot, then all good! This guitar is insane value for the price, I am beyond impressed... I highly recommend this if you are a Gojira fan, you will not be dissapointed.

Can't put it down. Duncan designed pickups sound great. I love that is only has the one volume knob. I always had a problem with my hand hitting the knobs while playing. Problem solved. The finish is great. Locking tuners keep it in tune. Fast compound radius neck (12"-16") Ebony fretboard. Just a great guitar.

I’ve played countless guitars in my life and a few years ago my old Ibanez busted on me and I had to borrow my buddies San Dimas to record with. I loved it, it was the best feeling guitar I ever played and I was determined to own one.
Well, I had kids and had to put music on the back burner for a while and now they’re finally old enough to where I can start buying gear and jamming again. I had just spent about $2000 on an amp setup and didn’t want to drop another thousand on a guitar quite yet, then I found this beauty and when I saw the price I just bought it on a whim.
It plays and feels EXACTLY like the last charvel I played and since I bought it I haven’t touched my other guitars. The action is perfect, frets perfect, stock pickups AMAZING. I will never buy another guitar that’s not a Charvel, they’re just perfect guitars at every price point.

Owned this guitar since December last year and can say it is my new favorite. This guitar is a little on the heavy side, just compared to others I own. I'm a big guy and like more weight. This guitar is extremely comfortable to play, great neck and nice fretwork. The guitar came from the factory with a setup, which I thought was nice. As always, American Musical was great to purchase from.

The setup, Neck a frets are perfect. Smooth and fast.
The tone is all wrong. It has to be the wood. I have the same pickups in a mahogany body guitar that sound great. Nato is supposed to be extremely similar to mahogany in density, look and tone. I dont know if I got a different wood material during the rush to get these out to stores or what. The guitar is extremely light, which also doesnt feel right for the supposed Nato body. I have a NAto wood guitar and the weight feels much closer to normal mahogany. I rarely have buyers remorse from guitar purchases, but I do regret this one. Its really too bad... as I stated before, The neck and feel is spot on.

I have to say I can finally get the crunchy tones that I hear inside of my head. I've had many nice guitars over the years and I could never get that tight crunchy sound that I hear on all my favorite albums. Maybe cause I've always had crappy amps. Helps having a Orange head, cabinet, and tube screamer. All bull**** aside Charvel really outdid themselves when they made this super affordable metal axe. I've wanted a Charvel years. More specifically the Warren Demartini Frenchie. Then I see this JD model. No bells no whistles with a single volume knob set back from playing position. I had to try it out. I've always had a problem with bumping into knobs due to my sloppy playing.
Since this lil **** showed up at my house i haven't missed a chance to pick her up. I love her. Mucho impressed with the Duncan designed humbuckers. Sounds completely bad ass. Maybe I'll upgrade to invaders someday maybe I wont.
Bottom line this guitar will inspire you in more ways than one. I've been inspired enough to play more write new riffs be more disciplined with my chops and most importantly to AMS, it's inspired me to save up and get a pro model. "Thanks to free market economy I get extra crunch for less money. Is very good deal." You have to read that with a Russian accent and it sounds funny.

This guitar feels great and plays fantastic right out of the box! If you want a bright sounding guitar that is easy to play, this is it. 2 pickups, a selector, and a volume knob... no tone control. It is what it is and it's a great guitar.
