Product Review I've been playing for over 50 years and I have used just about every type and brand of strings available. The Dean Markley Blue Steel strings have the best tone, are the least corrosive, longest lasting, and hold pitch better than any strings I have ever used. I started using these when they first came out and I only use Blue Steels on all of my electric guitars. I like the Custom Light 9-46 because the e, B, and G strings are easier to bend and the D, A and E give more bottom-end presence. The cost is reasonable and actually ends up being less overall because they last longer and don't have to be changed as often as other strings. Of course, I wipe them off after each time I play. For me, these are the only strings to use. I have around 20 guitars and if I used the $15 a set strings, I could go broke real quick and still not have the same quality and long lasting strings as the Dean Markley Blue Steel strings.

Product Review I am allergic to nickel, which makes playing the electric guitar very tricky. When I first started playing about seven years ago, I was in search of non-nickel wound strings. These strings were one of my only options. As opposed to other nickel-wound strings I have experimented with, these strings are impeccable. They hardly ever break, they are extremely durable, they stay in tune better than any strings I have used in the past, and they sound great. I am sure that I would never have even thought of using these strings if it weren't for my allergy, so for once in my life, I am glad to be allergic to nickel! These strings hardly ever break and are incredibly durable. I find myself replacing these strings much less than when I used other types, simply because the sound quality is beautiful and long lasting. Very soft on the fingers and very easy to bend and otherwise manipulate. Nice, clean sound. These strings are the only type I use on my electric guitars. They are possibly the best ones I have ever used.

Very Well made strings. They stay in tune so much better than the DR 10s Tite Fits. I was a DR user for 16 years until a fellow guitars player gave me a pack of these. I thought, "well I will just put them on if I run out of the DR strings". Well I put these on and my guitars were staying in tune significantly better. I really wish I had been using these strings all along. Very Well made strings. They stay in tune so much better than the DR 10s Tite Fits. So far they seem to be made well and I rarely ever break a string playing since using Blue Steels! Their tone stands the test of time! I have found I tend to change my strings less since I started to use the Blue Steels. Your general opinion of this product. Out of all the strings I have tried, The Blue Steel seem to have everything I want and need. They feel and respond better than any string I have tried. Little if any stretching is needed out of the box. they feel and sound as great from the first song till I change them.

Top DM's or Ernie Balls are the only strings I've ever used. Period. Currently guitars are all strung with Cryo's None issue Your general opinion of this product. Top shelf I have one guitar set up 10 - 52's DM's for hardcore, and another strung with regulars. I will use 9 - 42's on the Floyd Rose occasionally. Bright - very playable, you can extract your own tone. Tops

My husband has been using these strings for over 10 years with no complaints. He has sweaty hands and tends to rust nickel strings easily, so the steel strings tend to work better for him. The quality of the Blue Steels seems to hold up much better than others he's tried with his unique problem. This product lasts him pretty well, and is consistent from package to package as far as I know. I think they last about as well as nickel strings do for me. Your general opinion of this product. I purchased several sets of the heavy bottom, light tops for him as stocking stuffers this Christmas. I had bought him some Elixirs to try earlier this year, but he has 14 guitars and these are his "old standby" strings. I just know that he will restring some of them with these as his trems and things are set to these specific strings and he won't want to adjust for other string sizes for those coated strings that don't come in specialty sizes. Besides, who knows if he will really like those? I know without a doubt that he always likes these and no matter how many I buy, he will definately use them. My husband is a chronic complainer, but he never complains about these strings, so they must be GREAT!! Again, it must be great for him, no complaints on them. I think as long as you wipe down the strings after each use they last longer and the tone sounds better as well. n/a fine, adjust on guitar as needed

Your general opinion of this product. I've been using blue steels (custom light) for a few years now. Unbelievable brightness and long life. You can rely on them for the tone you want for weeks, while other strings would be long dead.

Your general opinion of this product. Great sound quality, holds the "new" sound well, very easy to play fast/bending/etc. and lasts longer than other brands, stays in tune fairly very well for being thin strings. The only ones I will use; I've played for over 20 years and previously played professionally.

Watch out for these strings, they break easily.

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
these strings are horrible, i bought them thinking ohhhh i'm spending a lot of money on these they should be good. They even say that they are very hard to break, yet after only a week, a week mind you, of use one of these so called hard to break strings has already broken on me. I am not one to play hard, i had my 50 cent guitar strings for an entire year without breaking them before i got these and i'm really not exagerated i really did have them for a year. Then i was just strumming a few chords for my friend and what do ya know? The middle string breaks, when this happens we both just go silent for a minute or two, just stunned then i just sink down my head and get all sad because i really wanted to play guitar and i can't play most good riffs without the middle string or most chords. So i figured it was my job to warn everyone else about what poor quality comes with these strings and how easily they break. 1
