Product Review Amazing sustain! I run this into an overdriven Marshall and the pinch harmonics shoot to the sky! I literally melt faces when I solo with thing with the gain dimmed. I put my original TS808 in storage after I plugged this baby in. If you want the chicks, this is the pedal for you! My signal chain Gibson Les Paul+ WYLDE OD+ Marshall=band groupies!

Very nice construction! So far, so good Your general opinion of this product. It is transparent with my Marshall on the OD channel. However, it's NOISY! You better have a gate in your pedal chain to silece the incredible noise that comes with the pedal. N/A Nice sustain and a little more bite Love it! Looks great on the board N/A

the world will end before this pedal quits! MXR, thats all you have to say. Your general opinion of this product. What more can ya say, Zakk Wylde spec's, coupled with MXR's constant durability, makes this ZW pedal one mean machine! Great to heat up your sound, without getting over distorted. not a single scratch. Plus the bright L.E.D's and the Bulleye helps you know where your at on stage.

Modified SD-1 by MXR

N/A Your general opinion of this product. A very nice overdrive pedal among others at a reasonable price. N/A Very similar to Boss SD-1 but a bit more transperancy I guess. If you were a fan of SD-1, you should like it. Similar tone and sound, but some says it has more noise which I could not notice at this time. Good enough. N/A

OVERALL:
This pedal is very sweet! I played around with one at a local music store for about 2 or 3 hours. This pedal is extremely responsive, as close to tube responsiveness as any pedal will ever be, in fact, I believe it responds just as good as tubes. If you pick lightly, it will stay clean, increase your attack, and it responds accordingly. I was using my black ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 with EMG 81's plugged into the Wylde Overdrive, then directly to the input of a Peavy Triple XXX. First, I experimented with it on the clean channel. Using this channel, I discovered it does not make a clean channel super dirty, but if you like a soft to medium clip in your clean tone for a sweet bluesy sound, AC/DC's "The Jack", for example, it does the trick perfectly. On the Crunch and Ultra channels of the Triple XXX, which is what this pedal was designed for - more gai

Good Pedal But Could Be More Affordable

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
Metal construction! They all should be!!

FEATURES:
Three knobs is not alot to be offered but that is not the purpose of this overdrive.

EASE OF USE:
Very easy. You dont have to know how to read or write to use this thang!

VALUE:
I think it is a little overrated for its price but is still very useful.

SOUND:
Lots of bite! If you have a school boy uniform, an SG, and this pedal you will definitly think you are Angus Young! Not as smooth as my TS-9 but good tone. Just be careful of feedback when you really crank this thing.

The ZW-44 Wylde Overdrive pedal gives great bluesy tones on a clean channel and face melting metal on an overdriven channel. This thing produces incredible authentic sounding tone without producing any background noise. I don't know how I ever lived without it!

a must have pedal!

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
Overall this is a superb construction of an effects pedal. The paint flakes off around the screws on the bottom and the edges of the top and bottom lip.

FEATURES:
3 controls, but alot of variety!

EASE OF USE:
Super easy to use.

VALUE:
Worth every penny! I rate it up there with boutique booster/OD pedals

SOUND:
Very transparent. It sounds great on both channels of my Engl Fireball amp. It adds a ton of sustain and harmonics. I'm not joking when I say I can bend a string and hold it forever. It reminds me of those sustainer devices on fernandes guitars. This won't turn your clean amp into a marshall. It's only an overdrive, not a distortion pedal
