Before this I had a Ditto looper, but I wanted more control with out having to go into a bunch of menus and programming. This looper is super straightforward but has enough functions to make it really usable.

This actually works excellent. BUT, look up specs of 1440 first ....as....I am upgrading to the 1440....as the one shot button, and double length recording time....I really need. Sound is excellent. Should be very last pedal in effects loop. Then, all sound and effects will be recorded, AND, your overdubs can have 100%, its own sound (channel, effects, volume). I have all front end drive effects on EHX silencer looped. My effects loop pedals are also on a EHX silencer, in it's loop. Zero background idle noise, with amp master volume at 3 O'clock...and channel volumes at 3 O'clock. I adjust actual volume with an Ernie Ball 25kOhm VPjr, at the end of the effects loop, after the EHX silencer, output.

I've only been playing with it for a few weeks and have not yet used every feature. That said I have loved it. Plenty of time available for loop length and 10 loops is super fun. Sounds great. Fairly intuitive to use.

After a lot of research and comparison, I decided on the 720 and cannot be anymore thrilled.
Easy and quick to learn and use.
The 10 save slots are perfect for small gigs.
The volume works amazingly and can be heard by my band as I am playing on top of it.
And, the 1/2 Speed function is brutal and fantastic.
As I said I could not be more thrilled by the Electro Harmonix 720!!

Love this pedal! If you're wanting to improve your lead skills, this pedal is definitely the way to go. Haven't used it live yet, but it's so much fun messing around with it in the studio.

I upgraded from a DigiTech JamMan XT and I couldn’t be happier. The two button design is so much easier to use. The reverse and 1/2 time features are a lovely bonus add on. Thank you AMS for the payment plans that allows players on a budget to access great gear!

I am not sure to whether say this thing has saved or ruined my life. All I know is that it is an awesome device. If I am constructive, I can practice up a very nice solo act with my acoustic setup, which is why I bought the thing; or, I can wile away hours dicking off and making trippy loops that sound ungodly beautiful and leave it playing while I bake a frozen pizza and drink beer. I seem to be doing more of the latter, though that is my fault more than the pedal’s. This thing is very easy to use, and the sound is unspeakably wonderful. I have had it only a couple weeks, and it’s inspired me to play more than I have in years. I’ve most recently been using it in stereo, coming out of an array of pedals ending with my stereo delay into it and then off to my acoustic amp and my electric tube amp. All I can say is that my setup sounds great and this looper changes everything. You must learn to activate it on the one correctly, but once you get that down it is awesome. Buy it!!

As a beginner to using loopers this one made it super easy and fun to use
There are s verity of good and bad about this brand but for me I love it
On a budget get one!
