It can be a ridiculous untamable big muff fuzz you are used to but the added op amp switch allows you to tame it ever so slightly into a tighter sounding fuzz. I’ve always been partial to green Russian variations of the big muff but this has won me over.

This fuzz is extremely versatile. You can dial in Sabbathy leads and Smashing Pumpkins style power chords with ease. The tone stack lets you tune the fuzz sounds to your liking or you can bypass the tone stack and blast your amp to oblivion.

One of my favorite albums of all time growing up was Siamese Dream. Today was the first full song i learned. This pedal nails the tone of the album. Its a great fuzz pedal for other sounds too. At the price you couldn't ask for more.

I had the original pi but it was way to big for my pedal board. This was a great alternative and adds additional sounds as you can switch the op amp off and on. I love it! It sounds like good old fashioned fuzz

Wow.. I’ve been playing guitar for 30+ years, have gone through a ton of multi effects pedals, distortion, amps and guitars. This takes the cake. Super versatile, and the tones are endless. The attack sensitivity and range keep me jamming for hours. Maybe I’m easily impressed or naive or just haven’t found the right combo, but my Epiphone Les Paul, little amp and op-amp big muff are exactly what I’ve always been looking for. I can’t say enough how impressed I am with this pedal. I will definitely be expanding my repertoire with some more Electro Harmonix gear.

My favorite pedal was one of the old bulky big muff pi pedals. I replaced it for a pedal with a smaller footprint and always regretted the loss. I took a chance on this pedal because of my love for my old big muff, and this thing blew me away. I can't imagine finding another fuzz pedal that can match the range this thing has.

This little box is alot of fun.the way you can just dial in sounds with basically 2 knobs is astounding.I might be slighlty bias.as i am a siamese dream/pumpkins sound fan.now all i need is a Marshall jcm 800 head and stack.lol.I might pick up another distortion pedal at some point that's not a fuzz as i create my pedal board.i currently run on line 6 gear.so i have no shortage of distorted sounds or effects.but ive just been playing the big muff straight out the clean channel with reverb and maybe a litle delay now and then.just buy this thing already!

We know what exactly what this pedal is a reissue of and who made the original one even more famous than it already was but the truth is that there is a lot here and you can make your own music. This is one awesome fuzz pedal - just keep tweaking til you find something you like. The sustain rules and the price is pretty great too.

The Op-Amp Big Muff does one thing but it does it very, very well - heavy, but not chunky, fuzz. It's a great option for someone who is chasing that 70's fuzz tone, ala Black Sabbath or (obviously) Smashing Pumpkins. Within that scope, the sustain and tone functions offer a wide range of tweakability. Regardless of where the knobs are set, the fuzz effect is always present while individual notes remain clear. However, if you're looking for a mild fuzz this is not the pedal for you. The pedal sounds great on its own into a clean channel. While I often start with other pedals in the chain with the Op-Amp, I seem to always turn them off before too long to just use Op-Amp.

One of the best investments under $100 you can make to your pedalboard! This pedal adds another layer of creativity with vivid over and under tones of fuzzy goodness, and it obviously does the pumpkins thing spot on! Do yourself a favor and buy this pedal!

Fantastic little box! This is my first and only Big Muff to date but I might have to try a couple more.... the OP switch unlocks another side of the pedal for even more EQ sweeps. The Sustain knob goes from a musical distortion to all out fuzz - its fantastic! For the price you can't go wrong.
