the evh 50 watt combo is a great amp i got it from ams it came damaged ,but ams helped out with the price ,this amp has great tone and is a beast, its very heavy that's what's to expect from evh built like a tank.it meets all my expectations there is no other amp like it

Played through MANY combos in my life, but this is the King. Butter like clean channel and with a quick toe-tap, the dirtiest lead overdrive you’ll EVER want! Gain for DAYS. Don’t wait, but it…it’s not something you’ll regret.
The guys at AMS are great to deal with as well. Superb customer service and knowledge.
EVH and AMS…that’s a great combo!

This is the best amp I've ever worked.Totally love it's tonal range. I use the stand by switch to help get the tubes balanced and hot. Sounds amazing. Ed VanHalen really is the master at finding that right combination and this amp has his remarkable touch all over it. Thanks Eddie.Love this Super Sonic Amp..EVH Is Quality..Love it..

I've owned my EVH5150iii 6L6 2x12 for 3 months now and have final dialed it in to where I want. It has so much gain and low end that you'll need to dial it back as needed for your taste or room that your in. I really only use the green channel with the gain around 50% and reverb around 60% to get a nice warm Van Halen sound. The wattage dial is awesome for low-mid volume playing. I keep it at around 5watts and once the tubes warm up, wow, you will not be disappointed. I cannot say enough about this amp. It's a dream come true sound with so many options.

I’ve been playing for over 30 years, and this amp is much more versatile than I first expected. I can get nice cleans, a nice blues crunch, and heavy, high gain for the hard rocking stuff. All in one amp!

This amp is built for the performing rock musician. It's all about gain and rock tones. Oh want some clean, just back off your guitar's volume knob in channel one and hit the reverb button on the foot switch and you got clean ! The build is one of the best I have seen in my 50 years of playing and building amps and electronics. Anything Ed builds is the best. The new stacked pots to control the first two channel's gain and volume is a real help. The 2x12 combo also provides free weight training as you move from job to job and an added health benefit often overlooked. Ya it's heavy cause it's built so well. If you dare go to channel 3 then better fasten your seat belt but C3 can be easily tamed by turning down the gain. In my music room I set the power level to 1 watt and can still drive and countersink a 16 common nail. Great amp and I love the ivory color.

Just got mine in earlier today. Sounds like it should. Very happy with the amp. Reverb sounds killer and the gain in it is unmatched. Highly recommend this amp to anyone that likes heavy music.

You will want a noise gate in this amplifiers effects loop due to the shear amount of gain you can crank this amp to. Definitely a good amp if you like to play lead. Clean tone is non existent but you can dial in the first channel to get a pretty good clean sound.

Finally Evh got the combo right with this updated version of the 2x12 combo. All of the channels are usable and you have control of the clean, blue and red channels finally! This amp sounds great and with the built in Midi, Power attenuator and Reverb this is the perfect all in one gigging or bedroom combo amp. I love this thing!
