I’ve been playing guitar for 30 years and always been scared to purchase a guitar without playing it first. Well I finally got the nerve to order the Fender Stratocaster Performers series. What a great guitar, the action is awesome, slim neck and great sound. American Musical Supply is a awesome company that helps get quality instruments in the hands of working musicians.

I've owned 18 Stratocasters over the past 45 years. Corona-, Japan-, and Ensenada-made ranging from inexpensive 'pawn shop pound puppies'requiring repairs and restoration to some very expensive high-end models that rate a display case. Mostly 'SSS'and a few HSS, some vintage and some modern. I received this brand new'American Performer'about two months ago and it is among the very best guitars that I've ever held in my hands and played.
Corona's dedication to craftsmanship really shines through and this may be the first one I've obtained that was perfectly set up upon arrival. Nut slots are perfect depth, no buzzy frets, crisp harmonic intervals, and no truss rod adjustment required. The neck profile displays that classic factory spec relief along the first 7 frets and fall away after fret 12. The 4-bolt neck joint is tight and firm.
The switch combinations, volume, and tone pots on this guitar provide a very broad tonal range, operation is smooth and rate of sweep/attenuation is steady, which is further enhanced by the pull/push tone split. Natural sustain and tonic fidelity appear to be on the longer and purer end of the Fender spectrum. Testing with 5 amplifiers and different rigs demonstrated that the "lively bits" under the pick guard play very well with both tube and electronic amps as well as pedal chains and/or multiprocessors.
Whether you have settled on your own unique, personal sound or wish to emulate those of players ranging from James Honeyman Scott, Billy Corgan, David Howell aka "The Edge", Hendrix, Trower, SRV, or EVH, I believe that this guitar will deliver whatever your ears desire.
A lovely, versatile tribute to the Stratocaster lineage and an excellent value for the price. I couldn't be more satisfied with this purchase.

I love this guitar from the quality to the sounds... this is by far my favorite guitar to jam because it's just so easy to play!
