So for over 20 years I have always played Les Pauls, and I still love my Les Pauls. But......Tuning has always been an issue. I bought this Strat to just try something new. Man, I have been missing out. The neck on this guitar is amazing, nice and thick with beautiful maple. It is a great weight also since I am used to Les Pauls it was nice to have something not so heavy. Back to the main point however, the strings stay straight when going to the tuning peg which makes a HUGE difference. This is why my Les Pauls alway have tuning issues, too much of an angle from nut to post. I cannot recommend this Strat enough, it chugs just as well with that nice humbucker at the bridge!! 5 Stars!

This is a great guitar- in sounds and looks. Neck felt great right out of the box, and the pickups let you dial in a lot of tones. As always AMS made it easy to own. Best customer service around! thanks again AMS!

Good looking and plays great. I went for the "black strat" look and its a sharp piece. Anyone seriously looking for a strat should consider this line and additionally if you can, get an American model. It's worth it.

I dont own this guitar. Or if she did see it she would think it was just another black guitar. Kind of like that bracelet of hers, “oh, this old thing!” This is my second AmerMusical guitar. Both are fabulous. This Fender Performer HSS gets picked more often than my Clapton strat or my Les Pauls. Love the feel, love the tone.

Delivered on time and in healthy condition.
Likes; satin finish on back of neck, six point tremolo, the tuners, the two single coil p/u are spot on for traditional strat and the ability to split the humbucker is nice as well (doesn’t loose to much volume and is nice and Spanky).
Dislikes; the bridge came horribly setup with that took a minute to get right. Don’t like the tremolo bar, to easy to bend the bar out of wack at the heel.
Overall a great gigging American made fender guitar for the price. The black finish is very deep and changes colors under certain lights.
Definitely recommend this product.

American Musical will be the only place we go for musical instruments. We have bought 3 or 4 guitars from them. This particular guitar has been the best product so far, although we loved the other 3, this one is not only beautiful it sounds amazing.

I received my new Strat Performer today. It came on time and was packaged very well. The first thing I noticed was how smooth the neck felt compared to my other guitars. That alone made it worth buying an American made guitar. The finish seems perfect and after several attempts at tuning, stretching and tuning it is now holding it's tune nicely. It's a pure pleasure to play.

This guitar plays and sounds amazing. I love the HSS setup with the coil tap, you can get just about any time you want. Been playing it at least two hours a day and it never gets uncomfortable or feel like it’s too heavy to keep jamming.

I bought this guitar on a whim, I couldn't pass up the 18 pay option. I have been looking for a guitar for some time that could really play different styles and sound authentic at the same time. I was so impressed with this guitar that I sold the other 2 guitars I had because I simply did not need them any more. The guitar does cleans, does country and does metal. I play through a PRS MT15 amp with a 2x12 cab. The neck on the guitar is fabulous. I'm a big dude with big hands and the 9.5" neck radius allow you to play chords and do leads with ease. The satin finish on the guitar gives it a smooth feel and a really cool look that I've never seen on Strat's before. Definitely an eye catcher. This guitar turned out being one of the best purchases I made in 2018 and truly is the only guitar you really need.

I have purchased many Fenders in the past but always returned them. Either the pickups were horrible or it wouldn’t stay in tune. There was always something. When I got this guitar the middle pickup didn’t work. AMS exchanged it. The replacement works fine. The bridge pickup is the real surprise here. It’s not the hottest pickup out there but it is pretty hot and sounds great. This is definitely the best Fender I have ever played. Being able to split the humbucker is a nice added touch. Overall it is a great guitar. Definitely the best Fender I’ve played.
