I am 65 and have been playing since I got home from Nam. I have owned dozens upon dozens of guitars, Never thought that much about Telecasters, they were boxy and big and then one day I tried an American Preformer Telecaster, It was off white (yellow) and it had a neck to die for. What was most amazing were the pickups. Never in my life had I never had the combination of a fantastic neck and incredible tone.Those pickups are amazing and I got the sound I had spent all my time playing guitar I was looking for. Never been more satisfied with a guitar in my life. Don't get my wrong my American Professional is in a league by itself but the Tele performer is a prize to own

Love the finish. Great guitar, super solid American tele, haven’t had to make any mods, just had it set up by my local guitar tech, although it played pretty good out of the box.

the Fender brand is iconic, stands alone in the music world , anyone who is anyone plays Fender, first in electric guitar and first in "rock and roll"..meets and exceeds expectations..it is all about the sound, if you are shopping for a guitar buy the best buy Fender telecaster...

I have been considering an American Telecaster for some time, but did not want to go with the "usual" Tele colors. Then I saw the new Penney option and had to order it.
Color is better in person than on-line. Guitar plays extremely well, even better than my Mexican Tele. (I know, most claim there is little difference, but I disagree.) Would definitely recommend this guitar; worth the extra cost over the Mexican model. Do wish the American came with a hard case, though.

Great guitar, Second Telecaster that I have purchased from American musical. Highly recommend to anyone. Play a lot of country along with some 80’s style rock music. Plays both very well. The fit and finish are amazing. Love the satin neck, Jumbo frets and the vintage white finish.American Musical has been a blessing making all my purchases happen. Been a very enjoyable experience. Great customer service. Thanks American musical.

Fantastic American-made Tele in a very cool color (Penny). Fast neck, excellent fretwork, and the Yosemite pickups sound great once they're dialed in to the proper height. The vintage-style bridge gives this otherwise modern Tele a nice traditional vibe - best of both worlds at a great price!
