Product Rating Product Review I have wanted a semi hollow guitar for a really long time, and within the last couple of years, I've been wanting a tele. I love the color, and combo overall. It's my first guitar that the fretboard is part of the neck (never really looked at Fenders that closely). Satin neck is pretty nice too. The profile is thicker than what I'm use to, but not so thick that it's uncomfortable. I have small hands, so that was a concern. I've never really cared for string trees, but the locking tuners make that less of an issue for me. I've had the guitar for less than 2 months. For the price, I wasn't expecting the fret sprout, but I know it can be taken care of fairly easily. It plays nicely outside of the frets needing attention. Gig bag is nice and padded. I love having string through body. It's what all but maybe 3 or 4 of my electrics have had on them. Just know it will need a setup when you get it. I don't have any major complaints. There was a piece of paper inside the sound hole that got missed at the factory, and the finish isn't perfect. I honestly wasn't expecting it to be. It's close enough not to be a problem. It's my first Fender, but likely won't be my last after this experience. I may change the bridge to a babicz at some point, but I really want to get to know this thing before I do. I know there are lots of people who may look down on where something is made, but I am not disappointed by this thing.

Product Review Sounds awesome, frets we’re a bit sharp but I had that sorted out when I had it set up. The only other bad thing I could say about it is seems to pick up the noise from finger skating across the D string and it’s a lot louder(sort of a shriek at times) than the rest of the strings. Other than that it sounds great, it’s super light weight and easy to play.

Product Review I got this guitar a few months ago from a different vendor, so I cannot attest to how AMS would sell it, but I can to the guitar itself. I got this model in the sunburst finish with the pau ferro fretboard. Mine has some beautiful pieces of wood on it with nice grain, and a nice dark fretboard. The grain on the body is nice as well and there is even a tiny bit of flame on parts of my neck. The binding is beautiful as is all the other cosmetic appointments. Cosmetically, the only issue was that there was a little gunk that had to be wiped off surrounding the entirety of the inside of the f hole. In terms of playability, this is the best feeling guitar I own. The neck is extremely comfortable, and feels fast to play on for both rhythm and lead. The 12" radius fretboard with the 22 vintage tall frets are also probably my favorite specs. This thing is born for lead with those. Bending and playing solos is the smoothest I have ever felt on any guitar. Your fingers and the strings will just glide, even with playing 10's like I do. This accompanied with the locking tuners really makes it perfect in this aspect, as the tuning stays rock solid, and you have the added bonus of really easy string changes. The little heel cutaway is also really nice for getting up to the higher frets and the strat style bridge really helps with intonation. I would give this 5 stars as it is an amazing value, giving you almost everything of the ultra or old elite series for the price of an MIM, but the electronics have issues. I love having the 4th pickup selection for in series for a beefier tone, although admittedly it can get a little muddy if you're not careful with your amp settings, but overall this is a nice welcome feature. The noiseless pickups also sound amazing and were a good option given that thinlines are somewhat notorious for humming, but the issue is that mine at least still hums horribly, and I have heard the same issue from a lot of other owners. I don't know what it is given that this model has noiseless pickups, but it buzzes constantly unless you touch the metal on it. The only fix that I've heard from most people is that the entire body cavity needs to be shielded with copper tape, which is not ideal since this guitar is supposed to be noiseless, and you have to spend the extra money to either shield it yourself and pay someone else to do it. If it weren't for this issue though, I would consider this a perfect telecaster and I would highly recommend it overall as long as you are aware that you may have to shield it. All of the benefits on this are definitely worth it.
