I have had 10 sets of these and all work perfectly. I doubt these gold plated ones will stand the test of time when it comes to the colour. However, all that matters are other ones that are not gold have worked perfectly. And that's what matters above all else. I even have the old style and tho these are better. the old ones are still going strong.

This was a very nice upgrade for my Fender Strat. I changed all the hardware to Gold. Looks awesome and plays nice. They stay in tune and very nice smooth winding for easy adjustment. Great hold on the strings.
