This is a fantastic amp at a great price!
Beautiful fender clean and over driven tones. There are several easy to dial in classic fender tones that I haven't even used any pedals.

I've had various amps, some costing way more and this Fender amp is just plug and go. Way easier to get a nice clean and break up at a usable volume. The reverb sounds great but I so wish it had a foot switch.

A Different Animal

I have owned 2 Blues Jrs before this one. Initially, I found I did not like the tone with the promised higher gain. However, before sending it back, I decided to try using a lower gain setting than I used before and put a Tube Screamer in front of it. The resulting tone was glorious. I was using a Marshall DSL with an A/B switch, but with this configuration, including an overdrive and fuzz, I can go from a solid clean sound to near metal with the Jr alone and now I just set up the one amp.
Good reason why most pro guitarists have a Jr for the grab and amp and go gig where their regular rig might be too much.

Great sounding amp! Easy to dial in a good tone and loud enough to gig with. Also, it's a good amp to use at home because of the master volume. It takes pedals well and honestly I don't have any complaints.

Great tube amp.

Great tube amp. Fender hit the jackpot. For a smallish amp it has a huge sound. The tube sound is to die for, even at low volumn. It can be cranked and the tune is even fuller, especially with the Fat switch engaged. The Type A speaker can handle what I throw to it,quite surprized. I play an Epiphone Dot studio with modified Duncan Fat Cat P90's and a Squire VM Tele with Fender Vintage "50's and a 4 way switch. Any of the new BJ IV combo's are great, especially with the speaker options Fender has installed. No need for a speaker swap. Go ahead and get one

I love this amp! It's a solid amp. Simple to operate. Very loud. Has great sounding reverb. Takes pedals very well. I use it for practice & gigging. It's a little brighter than the 40w deluxe amp I own so it really cuts through in a mix. You can use it alone for smaller venues & for bigger venues you can drape a mic over the front of it & run it through the PA system. It sounds great either way. Really happy with my purchase.

The Ultimate BLUES amp

Product Review
I've been a blues player for 50 years. Had every amp/guitar combo you can imagine. But never had a Fender Blues Jr. until now. I should kick myself for not getting one before. This is THE ultimate amp for blues. Crystal clear cleans, sweet creamy overdrive, and all in all, fantastic tone. I am what I call a 'minimalist' when it comes to guitar/amp, in other words, I don't (or very rarely) use pedals, just squeeze whatever tone I can get from my guitar (Fender Elite HSS with ebony fretboard) and amp, and this one gives me everything I could want. With just a tweek of a knob here and there, I can punch out sweet clean tone, all the way to down and dirty blues and everything in between, and the new 'fat' switch lets leads soar. Let's face it guys (and gals), most of our gigs are at small clubs, and this amp does well on its own, but at outdoor festivals, concerts or larger indoor venues, it can be easily mic'd due to a single 12" speaker, a sound technician's dream. Not overpowering on stage, and the sound guy can tweek my guitar as needed. I may sell my other amps and get another Blues Jr IV and run them in stereo on stage. Could not be more thrilled over an amp purchase than with this one, and I do this for a living. Still don't think a 15 watt amp can fill a room? The early rockers used 15 watt amps, (Beatles, Buddy Holly, etc...) with no PA system to mix it into, and they all were heard. Minimize your stuff and let your talent shine through sans electronic gadgets...roots, baby, roots. Great amp, great tone. Nothing cries the blues better than a Strat and a good amp. Hmm, talked myself into getting a second one just writing this review.

Great amp. Had the I and III. Sold both but couldn’t beat the size and portability of the blues jr. Ordered the IV from AMS and haven’t looked back. Great sound and portability. The reverb is awesome.

So, I bought this as a Christmas present for myself, and 4 months later, I'm finally putting down the guitar to review this little beast! Absolutely love this amp! It's that great Fender tone we all know and love! Takes pedals really well, and the new and improved reverb on the Mark IV is outstanding! If you're looking for a solid amp for jamming at home or in a club...this is your amp!

For the money I don’t think you can beat this amp! As a practice amp or using it at gigs, it puts out plenty of sound when you need it and sounds great! Transporting the amp to and from gigs is easy for me as it doesn’t share the weight of most tube amps. What’s not to love about a smaller watt amp that still puts out great tones and is easy to transport? Very pleased with my purchase!

Product Review
For a while, I wanted a small practice amp, something lightweight yet got loud enough to keep up with the drum player's volume at rehearsals. I also had my eye on some other Fender amps, so purchasing this seemed pretty natural. Let me tell you, it more than fits the bill. It gets decently loud, is a lot easier to carry than my 40-watt combo, and (to my surprise) sounds pretty good.
Especially well suited for all the warm jazz tones, but you can crank up the preamp volume and get some nice overdriven sounds, which makes it great for blues/rock stuff at a low-medium volume when playing in a café/restaurant or small venue setting. It's able to pretty much match my friend's Princeton Reverb, so I wouldn't say that this a practice-only amp. It takes pedals decently good, if that's your thing. I found no problem in that regard. Overall, a great amp. Maybe a bit pricey, but it sure sounds good.

I like what they did to the amp, they made some nice improvements to it, But, its over priced, its very cheaply made from the cheapest parts Fender can find, or as one amp tech said, Its built like a cracker!
