This is one of the most well-thought-out designs for a DI I have ever used.
The Platinum ProEQ is one of the only acoustic preamps to include a compressor. Meant to be fool-proof rather than surgically precise, it works very well and it does not color the tone.
The effects loop worked seemlessly when I integrated TC Electcronic Flashback and HoF mini pedals.
The tuner is well-lit and easy to use.
The enclosure is rugged.
When you compare to the ToneDEQ with the built-in effects, the features of better parametric eq and compressor are outstanding selling points.

Great solid unit. The eq is ample for most situations. The low cut is great for eliminate rumble without losing any bass. Tuner works ok. Most surprised with the fact that it works great for electric as well. Very versatile unit.

I purchased the Platinum Pro to use with a Martin D-41 and a Gibson Custom Shop Everly Brothers Model. I had installed Rare Earth Blend pickups in each guitar and wanted a preamp and some eq options.
I didn't realize that there was a tuner when I bought the unit, but it's super handy and works great. The EQ is nice for boosting and cutting and it reduces feedback and provides a clean and powerful direct signal.
Very nice box and I couldn't ask for more!
