My Go-to boom stand

Product Rating Product Review I searched and tried many boom stands. I didn't want to spend a fortune, but got tired of boom arms that slipped down while using - Comedy spoofs could be made with cheaper stands. This one holds firm. I use it for piano, keys, and guitar - holds any standard handheld mic even when almost fully extended. I say almost because the boom clutch holds firm but you need to face a leg the same direction as the boom when fully extended with a heavier mic - no fault of the stand, just physics. I also love it to hold my Audio-Technica 4050 multi-pattern when recording - a medium weight condenser mic.

Product Review I wanted to try this brand for my Shure Super 55 and it was a bust. No matter how hard I tightened the boom arm, it kept slowly falling down. I have purchased $20 mic stands that did a better job. The bad part is that I don't have the original packaging to return it so I am out $50.

Product Review I enjoy having these in my collection. I trust them with my Warm Audio 47jr Condenser mic, and I use them on stage without fail. They are also the only stands out of my current line up which I trust for doing overhead mics on a drum kit. They lock into place and don't move. I only wish there was a way to have a preset adjustment so I can easily reset them every time I use it on stage for vocals.
