Most musicians are familiar with the old, standard, push-button style quick-release. There are two much better options available, nowadays. I ordered one each a while back ...... this Gator version & the Ultimate Support version. Both are very good takes on a quick-release mic attachment. I preferred the Gator. I grew up with an automotive gear-head father who had a fully functioning auto shop in his garage. The Gator is designed like an air hose connector ..... pull back on the sleeve & pop in or pop out the attachment. It doesn't get much more simple. It is also heavier & much more beefy than U version which, as I said before, is a good unit .... I just like Gator better.

If you're looking for a quick release clip, look no further. I've tried a couple different styles and this one blows the others out of the water. It's sturdy and I have no worries. I use one on every mic as well as to attach the boom to my mic stand.

I just replace my older mic quick release with these and I have to say theses work so much better and are way more user friendly
