My review is actually pretty biased...I'm a Gator endorser, and a touring Pro, BUT sometimes I have to get them quickly...hence I had to buy a Gator TSA Les Paul case. I was starting the second leg of a tour and a friend loaned me a 1978 Les Paul Black beauty to use. A vintage LP oozing with character HAS to have a Hardshell TSA case. On the other side, I have flown and travelled with Gator around the world, and there truly isn't a better case or bag out there.

Got this case for my 1983 LesPaul Standard. Since ‘83 it’s gone through several cases including the original molded”chain saw” case (notorious for failing hinges and latches). I expect this to be the last case I’ll have to get for it. Actually way more case than I need. I’m certainly not a touring guitarist but I would definitely recommend this to a touring player. The fit is perfect, padding is great and the neck is cradled just right, snug and not moving. The hinges and latches are quality and the storage space is adequate for strings, picks, a capo, or a strap if it’s not too big.I spent a bit more than I was planning to, but it’s definitely worth the extra $. AMS once again comes through for me.

I owned this case years ago for an ESP Eclipse II. I bought it for a trip to Germany from Chicago, and checked it as cargo. The guitar was in tune when I opened the case upon arrival in frankfurt. Very sturdy! I bought a second one with a Les Paul Studio (they come with gig bags now?!), the quality is just as good as I remember.

Let’s be honest, Gibson guitar cases look incredibly cool: black or brown vinyl exterior, beautiful plush interior, a great marriage to the guitars they produce.
But with annoying one problem: they don’t handle abuse that well and if you travel/gig with your LP/LP-style guitar often, this is practically an essential upgrade. It won’t get destroyed like tolex/vinyl if exposed to temperature shifts, it can handle short drops, tipping over, and doesn’t weigh 100lbs.
It fits my Les Paul like a glove, the latches are much more secure than the traditional style and its cheaper than the Gibson branded cases.

My Les Paul fit just like a glove in this case. I have no worries about the safety of my axe in this puppy. I actually use Gator cases for most of my instruments.

I will purchase these for all my instruments These cases are vaults the locks are clamps! Far better than expected interior is sturdy elegant and would I imagine hold up to a hard life on the road.

This is as good a case as you'll need for your Les Paul. Fits tight with thick padding all the way around. Your guitar is not right on the edge of the case like a Gibson case. It's not a 1-2 inches all around the guitar. The latches are a big advantage over a normal latch...quick and strong. I have 3 already.... better than the SKB that's $172. Get one, you will love it.

Seems to fit. Although a bit pricey, but catches are amazing. Can’t make it more protective without coming in under 10(?) lbs or so, without making it near impossible to pierce.

Solid case. Well built .Good solid locks and the handle is comfortable too.The padding holds the guitar firmly and smoothly .no rough edges or sharp areas noted inside or out.
