This thing is great as it allows you to use a splash cymbal and don't need a full blown stand. Mounted above one of my rides(2) and out of the way but there when I want to use it.

I wanted to expand my kit some, but was short on cash. I came across this Gibraltar cymbal stacker for right at $10 bucks. So I grabbed one and put it in my cart along with a Meinl 8inch splash cymbal. They were a match made in heaven! I screwed the stacker arm in on top of my ride cymbal and stand and put the splash cymbal on top.I fell in love with the way this thing looks, and how it allowed me to easily, and with little money at all, expand my drum kit and expand my horizons towards being a better drummer.

Your general opinion of this product.
Saves you from having to purchase additional hardware (clamps, boom arms), which makes for a faster set-up and less bulk. This 6" size gives enough room to play the bell of the cymbal it is being stacked on. Quickly Plus, if you want to get creative you can add stackers on top of stackers.
Rigid and feels like there is no risk of bending. It might also be a good idea to keep a pair of pliers around in case it gets over-tightened.
Threads right onto 8mm cymbal posts, the most common size. Won't work on 6mm posts found commonly on much older/"vintage" or inexpensive/"beginner" stands. The simplicity of its design can also be its flaw; with no means of adjustment you may have difficulty the right angle.
