One of the best bass guitars I have ever played. I love the sound, the versatility, and how smooth the fretboard is. I can only imagine how amazing the higher class of Ibanez SR series are if this bass guitar is on a pro level.

I’ve had this bass for a couple of months now and I’ve yet to find any big faults with it. The setup was fine out of the box, it arrived quickly and unscathed, and plays perfectly. The only problem I encountered was that the volume knob, which utilizes a set screw to keep it in place, was loose and came off about a week after I got it. The bass included a set of Allen wrenches, one of which fits the set screw on the knob, so that was an easy fix and a minor inconvenience at most. The blue burst finish is stunning in person and it was absolutely worth waiting for it to come back in stock. The stock pickups are pretty good for this price point, but I’m definitely looking into some options for swapping them out in the future. Not that it’s absolutely necessary by any means.
I keep buying from AMS for 2 big reasons: the payment plans that can’t be beat, and fast, free shipping. AMS came through on both again!

So first thing is, I've been playing a squire until this bass.
This bass is awesome. Im using a Hartke HD25 and the lows are low, highs are crisp. I play mostly metal and this thing delivers. The power tap switch provides numerous tones. No muddyness on the low B. High quality electronics. Gonna be playing this bass for years.

Been playing the 4 for over 20 years. Bought this as my first 5. Only 4 stars because they didn’t have the color I wanted. Plays amazing, neck is super slick. No stick whatsoever. Pickups are hot!!!!! Controls let you play smooth jazz, or turn them up and grind away with a pick. Let y’all know in about 6 months.

This bass is great for the price. It was set up and ready to play as soon as I unboxed it. tone is good, weight is good and the neck is thin but not too thin. you can play anything from jazz to metal with this bass. I would recommend buying it.

This is a great bass! For the money, you won't find a better one. My two complaints are minimal--there were a few sharp burrs on the outside edge of a couple of the frets, and the B string buzzed like crazy and needed a slight saddle adjustment. Other than that, it is gorgeous and plays fantastic.
