I purchased this controller to replace a Tascam mixing board, this thing is amazing. I use multiple Daws and it automatically switches to the one I’m using! Automated faders with the smooth display, I recommend for any size studio!!!!

I was shopping for a control surface on a budget Did my homework and came across the Icon. I went for it and have no regrets. Worked right out of the box. I feels great to get that hands on tactile response. Still learning the finer points but my advice is to spend the money and buy this. It makes you creative workflow so much easier. When I can I plan on adding the expansion unit. It’s built like a tank and very responsive. Go for it!

I love this control surface. But do have a drawback and it might be just the way ProTools is designed. But the actual Master Fader on the console doesn't work at all with ProTools it is more or less useless.
The display is great and easy to read, the faders and knobs work well. Switching channel banks is smooth and the reactivity to it in ProTools is pretty seamless. This was worth the spend, and better then trying to click and navigate using my TrackPad.

I was looking for a mixer friend of mine recommended icon he had one I checked the reviews it was cost competitive to the big guys and gave I felt more bang for the buck like working with studio cake walk reappear and more exstension boards to add in later if needed templates for different daws that doesn’t come with other consoles and are quite expensive to get or not at all for me it was a no brainer loving it

This control surface is the best I've used, feels very solid, and compatibility and setup is a breeze. Easy to set up and just works! The quirk is that the last digit of the time readout had one bad LED segment right out of the box. It's so minor, I just got on with my life, because it's so stellar otherwise. Very pro build and feel. This was an upgrade from a Behringer X-Touch, which was just garbage, so I'm in Heaven with this upgrade.

I was looking for something to better my workflow. I use multiple DAWs and I really something that's versatile.
The Icon Qcon Pro G2 is the answer.
It's awesome for mixing and recording. The transport section is top notch. The motorized faders are smooth and quiet. The jog/scrub wheel along with all the other features has me barely using my mouse. Plus, the LED meters are positioned nicely beside them. This rock solid control surface has changed my life.

This product was worth every penny! My overall workflow in my DAW has increased significantly since I purchased this product. The setup was flawless and the MIDI was really easy to map. I like that it comes with several button layout cards in case I were to switch DAWs in the future. The motorized faders are precise and extremely accurate. The faders jump to your last location when you open your project back up which really helps with longer mixing sessions. I highly recommend from a home all the way to a professional studio. I have not found a complaint yet after many months of use. It is built to last being constructed of steel and quality parts. I plan on purchasing the expansion in the future!

Over the last 15 months I have bought and sold a Slate Raven MTi2, Presonus Faderport 8, Behringer X-Touch and an Avid ProTools Dock to try to find the best combination for use with Cubase/Nuendo, Logic Pro X and ProTools. They all work very well, but since I use so many platforms nothing was really solid enough, especially because what was printed on the surface didn't match what the buttons actually did. The Raven was the best in this area, but I found the screen size limiting for post work. The Faderport was OK with Logic but horrible with Cubase. The X-Touch good with Logic but bad with Cubase, and the Avid Dock is a great piece of kit but the buttons have to be mapped for anything besides ProTools and then the markings on the unit are useless. Enter the Qcon G2 Pro. Now I can move from DAW to DAW and use the overlays to change the configuration. What a great idea. The unit is built like a tank, and the faders are further apart than any of the other units, which is more like a full console. The jog wheel works very well and the detents correspond to your grid, beats, frames, whatever, which is great for post work. I only wish you didn't have to reboot the controller to change from Mackie Control to Logic to Hui, but it's a small price to pay for the universality of the unit. Programming the Function keys was a snap in Cubase BTW. All the units I mentioned are excellent, but this one is really the most versatile unit other than the Raven. My long search is finally over.

Very reminiscent of the Digi002 and 003. Super Solid build. Not a big fan of the plastic template covers that they use to adapt the buttons to your specific DAW. They don't lay down flat. Bothers my OCD. Real quality unit tho! No problems with connection or lag.

4 stars because.....Not much documentation in the box or online. Had to look up videos on youtube for Pro Tools functions. Other than lack of readable instructions, works as intended. Love having hands on control. Still haven't completely stopped mousing around, some functions are quicker with the mouse.
One other thing is that sometimes you have to quit then restart Pro Tools in order for transport buttons and read/write buttons to work, but it works fine after the first restart.

First things first, the setup on this device was incredibly easy. Unlike the Behringer controller I had tried to use, this device truly was plug and play. Soon as I plugged it into my PC, the computer recognized it. Because I bought it for Pro Tools, I followed the instructions in the included manual and set it for HUI. Pro Tools recognized it right away and it worked with no hassles.
The faders feel very responsive and are light to the touch. I like the feel of the buttons as well, they're soft but not mushy. The LED Display Strip is easy to read, as well. There were also a plethora of layovers for the buttons with different configurations for multiple DAWs.
Overall, I am very impressed with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone else trying to get a physical controller for their home studio DAW setup.

well we can start with the amazing ability to purchace this tool and pay in installments. The mixer is an amazing tool it picked up almost automatically and integrated seamlessly to my DAW the buttons are nice rubber and make a lovely clicking sound the faders themselves move seamlessly and smooth.
Nice clicky knob a nice display bright and quick responding.
The frame is nice Solid Steel and gives it the very quality like feel.

Great piece of gear. Looks and works well with both ProTools and Digital Performer. ONE COMPLAINT/PROBLEM: from the second day I set it up, two of the red digits of the counter are sometimes out and sometimes all parts are lit so you don't know what number they display. Is it a 2? a 0? Hence the 3 stars. Other than that I love it.

I bought this in hopes it would make my home studio more fluid and easier to navigate.... It has done that and more! Plus the payment plans that AMS offers makes it easy to upgrade your studio when you’re ready. Sometimes when I feel inspired, I need to act in that moment in order for it to come out right, and these guys make those situations more achievable without drowning me financially. I wish I would have known about these guys sooner.

I finally took this out of the box on 1-1-2020, after having before Christmas. This is a dope piece of equipment, I use it every chance I get. I hardly ever use my mouse anymore while I am using a DAW. It works flawlessly with all the DAW's I use and it is super user friendly. It definitely lives up to my expectations and was definitely a great addition to my home studio.

I have had my Icon Pro G2 for about 2 weeks now and I have to say I love it! I love how it automatically adjusts to every project file you load in your DAW. Also it has a great set up guide to get it connected with whatever DAW you use as well. It definitely makes mixing and controlling a lot easier and more precise. It will take some time to learn and master the controls, I still learn something new every time I use it!

I actually have this and 3 extenders to go with it witch gives me 32 tracks on the surface. I you need more you can bank over. If you are someone that likes the analog feel, want to touch faders you will love this. It replace the mouse everything you can do with the mouse you can do with this. Easy setup. You can use this with just about any DAW on the market. I myself use it with pro tools, ableton, and harrison mixbus. Bottom line it puts the analog feel back into your hands while working digitally.

This mixer is built really well and functions pretty damn good once I kinda figured it out. There are a few button that I can’t use but overall it controls everything I need it to control including all plugins parameters and the “FLIP button is nice!!! Great investment so far and once I figure out how to map this thing it will be even better!! Some people say the faders are rough....DUH apply the slightest touch and they glide super smooth

The Icon QCon Pro G2 is a great piece of gear to add too your current recording set up. I love the templates provided for each DAW. Quick & easy set up & use. The only problem is it doesn’t provide a manuel on specific details on how to use with certain DAWs. I literally had to call support after checking out YouTube videos about a few “how to do” on how to enable automation keys on the controller in ProTools. But overall I give the QCon Pro G2 a 98% thumbs up. One of the best investments you’ll make in recording gear.

So almost perfect... But I do love this unit. I have been a fan of the Qcon product for a while but I never got around to buying because of the price for the Pro X-series. Pros: PRICE!, shorter form factor but still has meters, solid construction! Cons: Faders are a little noisy in automation, templates for DAW could be better quality overlays (flatter), limited to only 3 expanders what if i want more than 4 units ;-)
