I’ve had a set of Behringer Bx-5a monitors for the past 10yrs and sounded wayyyyy better. These sound very weak to me and if you crank them too loud, they distort quite a bit. Very disappointed with this purchase.

These are the first studio monitors I’ve ever purchased. These replaced a decent set of computer speakers that just weren’t working for what I need. I based my decision to buy these on the numerous great reviews and the reputation of JBL, and they’ve lived up to the hype. I’ve been able to create much better mixes because I can hear my tracks with clarity and a balanced sound. As an added bonus, I’ve found that it’s easier to learn how to play songs by ear because of how clear everything is.
Are these the best? I doubt it. But for my little home studio in my apartment, I think these are pretty ideal.

I was worried about the 5" speakers not being big enough for my room. They are plenty loud enough and you can hear every little detail. Just like they are supposed to do. I keep them set on 50 % power in the back because the full volume comes through when you have them returning to your interface from your DAW. I almost got knocked out of my seat when I adjusted my output. And that's at half volume.
If you have a smaller room and are worried about them not being loud enough or having enough low end, Don't. These are great monitors.

JBL has done it again with this Mid Range Set of Studio Recording Monitors for your Studio Projects. Very Clean Sound even at Loud Range in my room space and it works for me. I have 2nd Set of Maudio Monitors I use in Conjunction with these JBLs but these JBLs give me the right sound quickly in the mix down and space panning L,R in a hurry each time. Very good time saver and ear Preserver all in one. Mixing Engineers Dream set with a midrange price.

I wish I would have been got a pair of these monitors... I followed the trend and got the hs5 pair, but these have a much cleaner sound with a smooth balance of low and high end which most monitors in this range struggled with.. these are accurate and have helped my home mixing tremendously!

The sound on these monitors is amazing! These Pro grade speakers are absolutely wonderful! The quality and sound are what stand out the most and I cannot say I dislike anything about them. Ive had them about a week now and use them every day! I had compared these to the less expensive Panasonic monitors, but went with these instead, a little more money but well worth it. These speakers have surpassed my expectations! JBL and AMS have done it right! If you decide to get these, you won't be disappointed.

While on Covid-19 lockdown, it was perfect time to upgrade my room and sound. I had been wanting and shopping for some mix quality speakers for a while. Finally chose the JBLs after AMS staff suggestion and seeing good reviews. They arrived on time. I put them in place and BOOM, right away I heard the bass response I had been missing. These monitors sound great right out of the box. The all black design is a cool stealth look. I haven't had a chance to do any serious work on them yet, but now that my room upgrade is complete it's time to get busy. I can't wait. Thanks AMS...again!!

The new features over the previous model include a ferro-fluid damped tweeter to improve time alignment. Better motor structure on the woofer for even cleaner lows at higher excursion. New boundary control to help overcome inadequate room acoustics. These are dead quiet,have outstanding detail and nuance,plenty of clean power. I bought a pair with the JBL starter pack. No regrets. The JBL nano patch has one of the best if not best potentiometers I've ever used. Also a handy mute button. The cables are quality but just make sure they are the ones you will need for your application. Luckily I got a crapload of cable types lol. The isolation pads in this kit are nice BUT they will only fit the 5" model. Too small for the 6.5" or 8". So keep that in mind so you won't be disappointed.

Love how the music comes out so clear and crisp. You can hear every instrument clearly. No buzz or heavy sound. Powerful for pro-recording studio or just connect your phone to play your music.
The ability to work with various sound connectivity and controlling sound from the back of the speaker is very helpful. Easily connect to your computer, audio interface or mixer.

Great monitors. Very accurate sound and quality build. I purchased the pair with the nano patch kit on Black Friday for $230.00 and have to say I am quite pleased overall. I will be purchasing the matching JBL subwoofer in the future as the 5 inch drivers leave a bit to be desired on the low end, but only for someone who likes to feel their bass very well when mixing. My only regret is not picking up the larger 8 inch version.

I purchased these to set up a small mastering desk in my home. They are perfect. Very accurate response, for tone and volume. They can crank if you need them too. Nice look and well built. Great price for a pair of quality monitors.
