Pros: Very capable sub at 15". Rock solid construction and can really put out that kick when the app works as it was Meant to work.
Cons: without the app it struggles to push. The app doesn't operate reliably. I have to reset the app every time I power up the PRX speakers.
I wish they would work with the same mph without the app.

Plenty of power and punch. Great tight JBL sound.
I was concerned the 15 sub would not put out like the 18, but i required a more compact, lighter weight package.
I have not noticed any significant sonic loss from the 15 vs. the 18 sub. This is a much lighter and compact package. Much easier to get in and out of gigs. A good compromise, meets all of my requiremnts.
Routinely using a pair of these subs with a pair of JBL Eon 612's for venue/crowd sizes around 200-250, with plenty to power spare
I have been gigging and doing sound for 35+ years. I have some background and experience here I can share.
I have Jbl's in all my cars, Jbl's in wall at home, and all my sound, studio, and PA gear is also JBL. So I do get that i may be a bit biased as well.
But I will say, my JBL gear never gives me any problems.
No, I don't work for JBL..
Yes, I would highly recommend this JBL sub.

I had 18’s but they wouldn’t fit in my car sold them I got this one fits easily in the car back seat. Great bass not as loud as prx18xlf but half the weight. Fills in great for the prx815 top on the low end.

I bought this sub last week and took it out the first time this past weekend.. Definitely impressed! This sub rocks a room!! Nice and lightweight/compact enough to move on your own, yet still packing plenty of punch no matter the occasion. Highly recommend for any mobile DJ’s looking to add the extra boom boom to your set up

Awesome sub. This thing bumps loud and i hardly ever have to turn up the volume that much. I have the 15 inch which works great and bumps plently loud i can only imagine what the 18 does. One of the best powered subs out for sure.
