What can I say? It compliments the rack as it should. I'm primarily in the studio but wanted to start gigging again. This is all I need with my Helix and the Line 6 Power Cab. I used to be a pedal junkie and there's something to be said for building your own pedal board...I still enjoy that process. But for simplicity of gigging and the absolute infinite number of tones I can get, this with the rack are perfect.

This thing is tough. Has real weight to it. The buttons are solid and have a definitive CLICK when you engage them. I was concerned about seeing the screens while standing...... but they are plenty bright and clear. And the different colors make everything that much easier to find what you’re looking for. All in all I have no doubt this will serve me well in my home studio, out at a show, and if I have to beat any zombies to a pulp in the apocalypse.

I decided to use the rack and floor control together to still have the full helix experience. The only difference is you sacrifice a bit of mobility. You can still use all the snaps and all the settings in a regular floor, without the expression pedal. I never ran an expression pedal so it made no difference to me. This piece of equipment has been rocksolid and a great performer. I would highly recommend looking at an option like this if you spend more time in a studioAnd less time on the stage.

A must-have if you own the Helix Rack

I have only had this unit for a couple weeks but I love the potential it has. This was purchased to replace a DigiTech GSP-1101 unit that has been around for nearly a decade. The GSP still works, however, I felt it was time to move up to a more-versatile product.
In addition to processing guitar audio, I plan on using the foot controller to change the scenes of our light system using MIDI notes. This will eliminate the need of an extra MIDI footswitch currently used to control our lights.
I love the ability to edit presets using only the footswitches, while playing. No need to run back to the rack, bend over, and struggle to see the display. You can do most changes using your feet without having to take your hands off your guitar.

The Helix Floor Controller is a must have if you have the Helix Rack unit!! It’s tough and solidly built. The switches are great and it doesn’t ever feel like it’s gonna break. Ives used it live and in studio and it works just how it should.

The construction can't be beat. This thing is built like a tank. I love the fact that it cleans up my pedal board and runs on a single cable.
