First off its worksmanship is very good! The deep bass is exactly what i was looking for. It comes with an adjustable snare to have nice crisp snare sound or none at all. Comes with a rubber seat pad and sturdy case. Cant wait to record with this and experiment with mic placement.

Works GREAT in any sitting especially in a "quiet setting" like in a church - needs no mic - compare to TOCA - not equivalent but def worth more than Meinl or other cajon brands..

I am not a professional but have a love for all things percussion. This cajon is too too small to sit on, with or without a throne. You wouldn't want to, because the best bass sounds are from the top of the instrument. Adjustment to the snare tone is hit and miss because there are no instructions. Turning the knob produced a 'tinny' tone that was off-putting. I preferred the factory tones but have not been able to reproduce them exactly. Take your time and make miniscule changes if any. The size presents a set up problem. You really want to elevate it to access all surfaces and tones. The gig bag is fine - use as a backpack or shoulder bag. By the way, the actual color is not what you see on the site. I bought the teal and while it looks dark blue on the site (my tablet photo looks navy as well), it is actually a bright and brash greeny color while the tatoo is black.

Nicely put together with adjustable snare sounds. Has really good bass sounds. We jammed the night it arrived until about 3am in the morning. What a Blast!!! I plan to buy another one for my friends, who love to play it as well.
