The Martin 00017 acoustic guitar is extremely versatile and well built. Excellent tone woods that are ideal for figuring picking and wonderful for flat picking as well. The craftsmanship is the most impressive and the whiskey sunset sunsets finish is simply beautiful!

This is the first guitar I've ever purchased online, and to be honest, I was nervous but I couldn't be more pleased with what I was sent. I have Jerry Cantrell's guitar tech as my luthier and this guitar, right out of the box, felt like he set it up himself. I literally wouldn't change a single thing.

Definitely 5 stars up! This is literally the best guitar I’ve ever played. It makes a chump like me sound like I know what I’m doing. The body is small enough for someone my size too. AMS was fast and easy too. They got the guitar here in 2 days as promised. Definitely will be shopping here for now on.

While it sounds good .... it was not what i was looking for. I think it is tuned towards blues players and finger pickers. It has all of the great martin sustain but it isnt a big strummer. I know some of you reading this and saying .... well yeah ! I guess the looks drew me in and i was hoping it would replace my main guitar

I was challenged to buy a gift for a dear friend.
Thinking back on stories he had shared with me, I remembered he had sold his guitar and motocycle to help get a veteran's farm started.
I searched endlessly online to find one that matched his personality - outstanding yet humble - sleek and exciting.
When I saw this guitar, I knew it was the one.
And I was so right!
He could not believe his eyes. He grabbed it up and began playing it, and we shared an hour of fun right then - him in disbelief.
"A Martin - I cant believe I own a Martin," he said over and over.
That must be a testament to your excellent instruments.

It’s not often I’ll write a review or give somthing 5 stars but this is a great guitar. I bought mine in 2016 and the guitar has truly gotten better and better with time. I own a studio and do quite a bit of acoustic recording and this guitar records so well and has a balanced tone which can be hard to capture with bigger/overbuilt guitars. I play many styles on this guitar and it does fingerpicking equally aswell as flatpicking. It shines when playing with others, eccpecially when they are playing dreadnoughts. I don’t care much for flashy finishes and fancy binding so this guitar was exactly the workhorse acoustic I was looking for. After some time breaking in, a good setup for medium strings and for me this guitar is what acoustic guitar is all about.

Fantastic guitar with a voice all its' own. So light, almost delicate, but with plenty of volume and incredible sustain. Fun to play for hours on end. I love the vintage look, especially the tuning knobs...beautiful.
