This is a very good little guitar with a big sound. It is the perfect size for playing on the couch. It is very comfortable to fret. The fit and finish is excelant. No fret sprout. I recomend this guitar to anyone who is looking for a parlor sized guitar.

I am a music teacher and my primary instrument is piano, but I also play the guitar with kids mostly. I have always had low end guitars but wanted a nicer one this time. I am so happy with this Little Martin. It looks and feels beautiful, and sounds terrific. It stays in tune well, and has very easy playing action. I also especially appreciate the small size, as my arms are kinda short. I couldn’t be more happy with this purchase. This will be my guitar for the rest of my career.

I really enjoy playing this little guitar, it sounds pretty good acoustic but shines amplified. The neck feels a little weird but the action is as close to a electric as any acoustic I’ve ever played(very easy on your fingers).

I went to my local music store and tried out the lx1e along with the baby taylor, 3 different models of travel sized yamahas, and the mini ibanez. The Martin blew them all way having the best low end tone in its class. So I put my order in here on AMS and the one I received is just as good as the one I played in the store. Good sustain and resonance. It is a little boxy which is a complaint I hear often but it's really not that bad for the size of the guitar and its better than any of the competition. I don't think it's reasonable to buy a mini guitar and then complain that it sounds a little bit boxy. This guitar is totally gig worthy. Action and neck relief were spot on out of the box it did not need a set up. All I did was put some Elixirs on and it was ready to roll. The included gig bag is a nice quality bag perfect for traveling. The electronics are good, especially for a vacation travel guitar I don't need anything high end as far as electronics go.
AMS shipping was fast and on time. The guitar was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. Buy this guitar!

I got this guitar because I wanted something to take camping with me and I didn’t want to take my Taylor on those outdoor excursions.
I was interested in this Martin because of the laminate back and sides and thought it would be a durable guitar to travel with. Because I was used to my Taylor, I was worried about playability and sound quality, but wow this Martin is amazing! Super easy to play and the sound is just outstanding. Combined with the size, this thing exceeds my expectations in every way. It’s loud when I want it to be loud and quiet when I want it to be quiet.
I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with this guitar. I’m very happy with my purchase.

This is a great product, great small body for travel or just easy playing comfort but it still retains a lot of tone. The solid top really lets the mids/highs ring out but the bass is surprisingly retained for such a small instrument. Comes with a high-quality Martin-branded TKL gig bag that's also a perfect compliment for this guitar. My only complaint is that the electronics have changed and the pictures/description hasn't been updated. There's no on-board tuner and the controls are mounted inside of the top of the soundhole now, which is nothing awful but it's not what I prefer so I would rather have that older version.
Setup-wise out of the box the action is very low/comfortable and it is very easy playing, the fit and finish is so smooth it feels great in your hands and is very precise. This is an instrument of quality that is very well crafted and will last a long time as probably one of your favorite guitars to just pick up and go.

I love this guitar. Sounds much bigger than it’s size. Has range and doesn’t sound like a toy guitar. I also have the Baby Taylor BT2 and the Martin is a better guitar. Well made and solid acoustics. I changed the strings to Elixir lights and sanded down the saddle as the action was too high out of the box.

was a bit worried after reading that one review, but took a chance & it worked out. out of the box, action was almost there. needed to come down a tad at the saddle, a little sandpaper & a set of earhwork, 80-20's lights, got a terrific finger-style ax. loved the sustain, the single notes or chords drift on & it's right out of the box! AMS got it to CAL, thru sleet & snow in a few days.

This guitar plays nice and looks terrific but the wires inside flop around and just moving the guitar around you can hear the wires hitting the inside of the guitar. I would thyink this should not have passed the quality check.
