These are great stands, I've purchased this same 6 pack several times for church, friends, and other venues and projects over the years as well as for my personal use in my sound and lighting and professional DJ services. No issues with how they work and hold up. Would honestly recommend to anyone with the small caviat...CHECK YOUR BALLS. I an odd set of circumstances, I had sold a sound system to a school theater and to an actors workshop, I provided a dozen of my older rental stock to these two installations and quickly needed a buy another 6 pack to cover a middle school graduation all on the same week. While I am not the type to take a brand new item directly to a gig and I did open these at home the night before to check all was good and ready for showtime, I unpacked, checked and loaded up these boom stands into the handy travel bag and promptly found myself at the gig and ALL of the ball ends of the tighting bar had all fallen off and were in the bottom of the bag and in amongst the grass of the football field that I was setting up in at 7am. Bottom line, good stand. Great price. Just add your own quality control step on every part before hitting the stage.

Overall, these are a great investment if you do not move them a lot. I agree with other reviews. If you are constantly setting up and breaking down, these Mic stands will let you down. I buy them because they are light on the wallet and can get you out of a pinch. I use them in my studio, and they are perfect. On the road, and they become unreliable fast.

As soon as I pulled my stands out of the box the balls to tighten the boom fell off and rolls away. I bought on stage stands years ago tand they were a solid metal piece or glued together... I have no idea where to find a few of the balls and the rest of the lever to get them to work. Otherwise they work great.... If you're handling your own equipment, this boom should serve you well for a good while. If someone else is, you might want to go with a sturdier (and at least twice as expensive) boom. It has good weight and stability, but too many parts to break or come loose in the design if a lot of tossing around is going to happen.

This is a good basic boom stand. I’ve owned a lot of stands, and these work just fine. Can’t speak for how long the boom clutch, mic clip threads etc will hold up, but at this price you’re not expecting the longevity of $300 stand. I bought a multi pack in a gig bag. If you don’t want to take forever tearing down after the show, you’ll probably want to drop as much of the stands in the bag as you can, zip it up and leave them sticking out a little at the end. Other wise it takes a little effort to get them back in the bag.

Functionality is the only thing that matters when it’ comes to accessories. Why buy anything that only goes up and down? Coming from a person that spent the first ten years of his song and dance with third hands holding microphones to his face or pinching Fischer-Price karaoke box-mics betweenharmonica holders or duct taping pretty much any sort of amplifier to my body; in the end the amount of time spent building half-baked contraptions could have been time spent making music. It works. I can put my mics where I want them. These stands (I bought the 3 pac) are lighter than the round base Atlases I've used on the past, and stand well without tipping and without needing a counterweight. On the negative side, they could be sturdier, and though they are nicely inconspicuous, all my other stands ate chrome (and prettier). Still, I expect to be using them for years. They do do the job.

I bought these for mobile use, and they turned out to be pretty good. I already had a pair of the same model stands from few years earlier, but was surprised to see some differences. The new ones winding for mic holder on one of the three I got was a bit flimsy. The central tripod joint on the older stands were slightly more extended, and the leg tips were different. However, they were just as sturdy and easy to set up. I really like these stands. The bag it came with was a nice perk.
Overall, for the money, it is well worth it. I would recommend this.

This is NOT a 70's Atlas mic stand. It's a more modern stand (dubbed Euro Stand - which is short hand for light-duty). I don't give 1 or 5 star ratings, as they're suspect. This is used in my studio and does a good enough job, but it can tip over if not weighted properly on the legs. I received it for almost nothing as part of a promotion with the Audio Technica AT2020 mic, so I can't complain. If I were hanging an expensive mic, I'd opt for a premium stand.

You get what you pay for. I ordered the heavy duty one but its on back order. I purchased this one to fill in till it arrived. I noticed with my SM 58 mic the boom continues to creep down and you have to over tighten the clamp. I'll see how long it lasts before it breaks. As stated its nice for the price. I got this microphone stand as part of a bundled deal along with a beta 58A mic. The stand and a mic cord were included for only $10 more than the mic by itself. Problem is the clutch does not hold so when you extend the stand higher it slowly sinks down to its lowest position. Everything else is OK. I guess you get what you pay for.

It works well and resists bending or breaking on the road.
The product is very sturdy. I had one from 10+ years ago that we still use, so it was the first stand model that I looked into when we needed two more.
So easy to set up, even our drummer could do it.
It makes a very firm thud when dropped from heights. The volume is directly proportional to the height I drop it from.

It is of good quality but there are better available, but for the price, it stands alone

Very dependable, I use it for hunting.
It stands.
It took me several days to figure out to make it stand upright, but once I did, it stayed.
Simon Cowell said it has the worst tone ever.

These are very reliable. I have 2 of the stands for 5 years or more with no issues!
They are quick to break down for setup and durable...
Open the box and put the stands to work... It's that quick.

Extremely well made, great balance. Dependable enough to be thrown around while transporting from gig to gig without damage. Other than scratches.
These are GREAT stands! I couldn't have been more pleased with the quick delivery with standard shipping. The only thing I would like to see ALL stands come with, (which none do) is extra locking star washers.
Couldn't be simpler, if you know how to turn a knob and slide something, you won't have a problem.
Doesn't have a great sound to it itself, it needs a good mic.

Quality is superb! I don't treat my stuff like trash anyway, and this stand seems like it would take any abuse if it had to.
Considering all the other choices I had to buy a mic stand, this is the one for me! Lightweight, easy fold-out legs, adjustable boom angle without any noise through the mic thanks to the built-in clutch system...just a fantastic item for the money...I've got 3!
The easiest and most accurate mic stand there is...extremely light-weight, great for the on-the-go musician.
N/A...except, it doesn't vibrate through the mic if you need to make angle adjustments thanks to the adjustabke cluth

Good enough for responsible usage. If you are nice to it, it'll hold up, it's not bulletproof. Good for the price.
It works well when it's in good shape. Just don't yank on the boom when it's tightened, or it'll get sloppy.
If you can't figure this out, you're probably screwed when it comes to plugging the mic in....
No sound, doesn't seem to rattle or anything annoying.

The construction is sturdy enough that I trust them to hold my "Shure." drum mics. I use these to hold my overhead condensor mics. You can buy better stands for this purpose, but they will cost you way more.
I like how easy these stands are to set up, and break down. I enjoy playing drums not setting up my gear.
I found these stands very easy to use, you just have to be two percent smarter than the mic stand you are using. "rule of thumb"

Very durable. The only problem is the sticker on the stand. Because they were uneven, I decided to take them off. What a chore that was. The sticker on each stand left a very heavy layer of adhesive. I ended up using lots of Goof Off to get rid of the sticky junk. It was much more trouble than it was worth, but I didn't want to leave the stickers on.

Well, when i got it the manufacturers didn't screw a hole in all the way so, i'm just waiting for my new stand but, aside from that i think it's great .
How far the arm can reach . instead of turning a knob til the arm stays still i think that there should be a piece wrapped around the arm and a screw knob connected so that when you twist it it tightens and you don't worry about the screw letting loose .
it took me a few minutes to get everything in place . it's easy i just feel at times that the screws will let loose and the mic will fall . There was no manual that came with this produc .
i don't need to use a desktop stand no more which makes me happy .

QUALITY:
Sturdy quality, durable tubing. Base is very well balanced, no problems.
FEATURES:
Though there aren't many features to a mic stand, the on stage versions boom is easily adjusted with a knob-type adjuster which is handy when you need a quick adjustment on stage. Their company name is very appropriate.
EASE OF USE:
as simple as it could be. Take it out of the box, unfold the legs and lock them in place. Adjust the main tube up and tighten and then adjust the boom how you like it!
VALUE:
It was worth the money I spent on this stand, the quality alone is worth the money.
SOUND:
Sounds like a stand usually sounds. :O)

It has a good metal framework and is easy to setup, fold down, and store.

I have gotten my money's worth out of this stand and I am ready to buy five more!
SOUND:
The stand's positioning does not seem to pick up much vibration from the ground and works best with a shock mount for studio microphone applications.

I ordered this stand along with the Audio Technica AT4040 that comes with a shock-mount for the microphone. The shock mount easily fit the boom threading and the combination of the microphone, shock-mount, stand, and pop-filter has been unbeatable!
