Not a bad stand

Product Rating The base is not very weighted down. This stand will hold the average dynamic microphone well, but if you are to attach a goosenect to it, the microphone should not be heavier than average (like a professional cardioid condenser), otherwise it will tip over Not much to say about a mic desk stand other than it serves its purpose.

Height not adjustable, but good construction and price.

This mic stand is well-made, for the price. The base is made of thick, solid cast iron-type metal. The stand arm is also made of metal, but isn't as thick and wide as I thought it would be. It appears strong, nonetheless. The arm and base are separate from one another, so it could be used for light travel, as well. However, due to the stand's arm not being made of as thick of a metal as the base, and the diameter of the arm is relativelysmall compared to others, it may not be suitable for heavy travel or repeated “tear-down,” over a number of years, without showing wear and tear. Very simple features - A solid, thick metal base, with rubber feet on the bottom (prevents hard marks on your desk) and a removable stand arm, about 4" high. You can unscrew the arm anytime you'd like, for storing, and quickly re-assemble for use again. The stand DOES NOT come with any extra parts or extensions as pictured. Nor does it come with interchangeable arms. It is not an adjustable stand. This will be fine for most users, provided you have a mic grip whose angle can be adjusted. However, I’m using it for a large condenser mic, in a confined space, and cannot use it without an extension. I personally would have purchased a more expensive stand, had I known the stand wouldn’t accommodate my own needs right out of the box, but my situation probably isn’t common. It’s a good value for the average situation. And the lack of “features” is why this is so much more affordable. Again, very easy to use. Just take the base and the arm/stem out of the package, screw them together and… instant mic stand. You might want to keep the small box it comes in, for storage later.
