Was using a Mpc One + before switching over to the MK3. A friend of mine who is a music producer, told me that I should give this thing a go around. At first I was a little hesitant, but man I am so glad I did! It has made my workflow much more enjoyable. The company provides a great machine at a reasonable cost with tons of software included with the purchase.Newbie’s to the system are given online instructions that are easy to follow. With this particular system, you will need extra storage space or consider buying an external hard drive to hold all the software, otherwise, in my case may be unable to access the software in its entirety. Because I am so satisfied with this product and company, I plan to buy the S49 MK3 keyboard Controller. I give both the Company and the system five stars and highly recommend this product.

This is a massive upgrade from the Maschine Mk2. I've had this for almost a month, now. I like the two large lcd screens because it reduces time looking at the monitor. The midi mapping is pretty one to one with the Maschine DAW software. The bundled Komplete Select sound pack provides plenty of material for anyone to get started producing right away. The large pads feel great on the fingers and are very responsive to velocity. The Maschine mk3 is powerful enough on its own or paired with an S series Komplete Kontrol keyboard. This could very well be the only piece of gear in your studio and still create amazing stuff.

I love this machine because you can use it in the studio or on stage. The Maschine mk3 is pretty much the best instrument controller on the market today. Touch sensitive knobs means your able to see what it’s set at without having to turn it. The touchpads are super sensitive and allow for a lot of expression in the parts you play. Not just for drums anymore!!!

After taking some time to get adjusted to the Maschine workflow (coming from an MPC One), I actually prefer the overall layout and straightforward flow of the Maschine Mk3 and the Maschine 2 software. All the basic functions are laid out intuitively and I only have to menu dive to access more obscure things. I also like the overall higher quality of sounds and plugins in the Native Instruments library. Now I just need to work on my finger drumming skills to actually make some killer beats and songs.

I've had the Maschine MK3 (Ultra Violet) for about 2 weeks. Since taking it out of the box, I've been very impressed with it. Great build quality. Software is awesome. The violet color looks amazing and the sounds/plugins that are included are more than enough to get me started. I was close to getting the Vapor Gray version but in the end I settled for the Ultra Violet version and I don't regret it one bit.
I was looking at the MK3 or MK3+ but in the end I realized that I am not a touring musician so I don't need a stand-alone unit. It will stay in my home studio. I'm a guitarist that has dabbled with production units/instruments such as the MK3. Previously I had the 1st gen. Ableton Push (which I also purchased from AMS). Loved it! But it does not include the built in audio interface like the MK3 so it was time to upgrade. Sampling instruments is easy and limitless.
At the end of the day, I am very happy with my purchase and I would highly recommend the MK3 to anyone.

Fantastic quality piece of gear and included Maschine 2 software! I opted for the vapor gray 25th year anniversary to go with my Komplete mk2 61 keyboard. I have never owned anything like this before and have always been intrigued but honestly a bit intimidated. I received the unit and watched a couple of tutorials and was flying around the unit in no time. Native instruments has some fantastic sounding expansions that really allow you to be creative in the moment. I can’t recommend this product enough. Any producer or musician should add one of these to their gear immediately!

I've owned the Maschine MK2, the MPC Live and a few other controllers and this easily beats them for best of its kind. The split screen is extremely helpful when arranging songs or editing patterns. I love that I can use the new FX perform mode with just a single button and a glide of the finger. Sampling is easier than all other controllers I've used before. The interface is easy to learn for beginners and Komplete Now gives you new sounds to play on a regular basis. The only thing I don't like is that neither of the displays are touchscreen, which is really just more for aesthetics than operability. Maschine MK3 is 10/10 when it comes to controllers. I highly recommend it to anyone no matter what their level of experience is.

I got this to help me build layers for my alternative rock band. We use synth layers like most new Active rock bands and this makes creating ideas easy. I use it with the machine software and with Logic Pro x. It works great with my Mac m1. For the price point this is an amazing piece of equipment. Excellent Studio Tool especially if you're invested in Native Instruments software... if not, there is still lots of great music making content included!
This has a learning curve - meaning it's deep - but not too difficult.
Just know that this version of Machine does require connection to a computer, but not a problem for me. For those who prefer to be DAW-less, Maschine+ is a great but more costly option.

I love it. 2 screens help to see what your actually doing without having to look at computer. Nice pads that are larger than the past Maschines. Easy to get around and comes with more than enough sounds. Great purchase and I'm thinking about getting the controller keyboard as well. Out of the box and into the frying pan might be the best statement for the Mk3 Drum Controller. I purchased this piece because I needed a journey instead of a machine. The Mk3, along with its software gives me story upon story ultimately allowing me to skip the complexities of creating and dive right into the bright and colorful parts. I've had it for awhile now and though its user friendly enough to get start right away, I haven't scraped the surface of all this thing is capable of. I'd recommend this piece for anyone who'd want a "all-in-one" tool in their bag.

As a lover of the Native Instruments Studio, I absolutely had to get my hands on the MK3. I ordered this beauty as a birthday gift to myself. First glance, it’s a little smaller in size, and doesn’t include the mini-stands that the Studios come built in with but the MK3 is still up there! Workflow on the MK3 also has the Studio beat! With the keys being closer and multi-functioned, it’s the perfect recipe to cook up! The double-LED screens serve a functional final touch and makes working with the pad visually convenient. I love Native Instruments, they have not disappointed or have underperformed! Their sound packs are a very high quality and will always support!

When using protools the maschine gets stuck and no midi signal comes to the daw. Fixed it by erasing the FB plugins. Still gotta restart it every time I open protools. Also the software should have more integration with external samples in the internal library of the Computer, it’s not easy to browse for external sounds that you wanna incorporate in your workflow. Other than that it’s great and good looking device and it makes working loops or certain arrangements much easier.

I've been a Maschine user for awhile, I had the first one and MK2. I thought about getting the Studio but I knew MK3 would serve all my needs. It did plus more. Great screen and illuminating lights on the pads. The master knob feels great and I love that u can use it to navigate through any window. The MK3 works wonders with my Komplete 88. I plan on making history with this pair.

The MK3 is amazing when you it with the maschine software in standalone mode. the mainly as finger drummer. 16 large pads for in putting your sounds. Can control the programs mostly with the MK3. Can also be use with other DAW programs. Two colorful display screens for viewing.
After downloading native access bundles of software you can make any style of music you want with loads of sample packs to choose from. Sounds are great quality. Recommend you buy a cover and protect your investment.

It is one of the best products out there that give you everything your looking for in a controller and interface... yes some things like the microphone effects and volume sometimes, BUT the pros DEFINITELY outweigh the cons!!! The Maschine MK3 is a serious piece of equipment. It comes with a sh*tload of samples (can take over an hour to download them all so be patient--it's well worth it). If you use USB power, the screens and buttons are still bright enough to see exactly what it going on. You must download and install Native Access before you can do anything with it. Native Access registers the device and downloads everything you need to use it. The device uses Maschine 2.0 as its DAW which can run either standalone or as a VST/AU in Ableton, ProTools, etc. You also get a full copy of Massive, Kontakt and Reaktor (which run inside of Maschine 2.0). Being an Ableton user, it wasn't intuitive for me but after watching a few Youtube videos I got the hang of it.

This is a complete grid based composition tool. You can find new paths to creativity using the features of Native Instruments Maschine Mk3 and it has a lot of great automated features that can help you come up with ideas you never even knew you had. It's also a great tool to sit with when you are suffering from writer's block. Once it's set up, it's very easy to get started with and there are a lot of great on-line resources available through Native Instruments that can get you pushed off in the right direction. I highly recommend.

Really enjoy using the MK3 nice fast workflow to it. Not a full fledged DAW it's great to help get ideas out quick. The built in audio interface is a great feature makes sampling and using studio monitors a no brainer. I also own the Ableton Push 2 (also from American Musical, love this company!) which I feel a lot of people try to compare these two but they are really different. The Push 2 is designed for ableton live and just a lot more in depth then maschine as it's a full DAW.

The new functions like the chords function and keyboard function makes it so easy to morph and change the many sounds and vsts it comes with to sounds you create on the fly. So far I love this controller. I'm still learning more of its capabilities and features. YouTube videos has made it easier to learn some of its nuances. I wish i had more time to play with it. It take a little while to get use to navigating the many features but they did a great job. The screen is very helpful. The finger pads sensitivity is adjustable. I thought that I would have wanted a touchscreen but that would probably complicate the feature arrangements. I'm sure I'll have a good work flow the more I use it. It's sized just right for a beginner like myself. Just enough pads to keep things simple. I'm happy with my purchase.

The sounds of Maschine are of high quality. All of the samples are unique with a depth creativity that many of other production products lack. I've only Maschine for a few weeks now so there much still to learn about. The learning curve is the downside of the Maschine. However, there is a lot of helpful media out there to help you along the way. With the instruction of some of the courses online I believe studio workflow will be much more enjoyable. I'm having somewhat of a complex time marrying the Maschine and Logic pro X together. Overall, The sounds are thick and plugins are decently priced. Can't wait to take full control of the Maschine.

It comes with a huge library of sounds. Roughly 25bg. Last I looked I had imported around 50,000 different sounds. You can alter any sound, use your plug-ins to do so, and sample anything you want to boot. It serves as a hands on editor and comes with a sequencer ( software). You can create beats, sound effects, and make entire songs using all the virtual Instruments. Anything can be exported to your favorite daw, and it will print the finalized tracks without having to load all the used plug-ins Into your daw, which can save a ton of pc processing power on large sessions. Use it to trigger vst Instruments in a daw ( I use it for ez drummer triggering in pro tools) or create Individual Intros, outros, Interludes, ambient background noises, and even add background synths to your music. I am still learning all it can do. My only gripe is that it will not see or load ez drummer 1. So I have to use it as a trigger instead of making my drum beats in maschine standalone. I already purchased ez drummer 1 at full price, and don't feel I should not have to buy the program a second time just so maschine will recognize it. It's u fortanate as it is the main purpose I dropped all the money for it, but everything else it does makes up for it. It would be great if N.I. Would add support for ez1. Then it would be the single best purchase ever. But as I said, the unit has many uses besides what I want and is handy to have. It's a great Controller and I am Considering getting the matching 49 key keyboard for complete playability of its endless synths, though you can use the Controller to do that same thing, it would just be on pads and take longer. It has more sounds than I could ever have the time to listen to. If you record anything other than drums, guitar, and vocals, this is a great buy. Can also be used for live applications and has an Interface. I will still buy a high end interface, but if you don't have one, it's a nice touch. Can be used as the pc's sound card and the quality sounds good.

I have a problem with controller if I use the out jacks to connect to monitors and have not found the right configuration to prevent a lot of clipping. if I use the computer to feed the monitors I don't have a problem. I tried upgrading wires to no avail. It is really handy for drum beat creation, measure duplication, quick insert of new instruments or effects. Overall despite what don't work well for me, I rate it 4 stars and think it is ahead of the game. It would be awesome with more company support which sucks big time & better song file integration with other top software.

It’s easy to underestimate how much of a difference tweaking encoders instead of clicking a mouse can make during the production process. That said, this beast of a controller gives you a generous amount of pads, buttons, encoders, and 2 high resolution color screens to keep you away from the mouse and whatever DAW you’re into. The build quality is superlative, every point of interaction with the Mk3 feels right and responsive. NI’s software is seamlessly integrated, allowing you to summon its vast capabilities with a few twists and button presses. As a bonus you also get a touch strip to bend pitches or modulate as you wish.
The back panel is impressive - USB, optional power supply, audio in/out, MIDI in/out, headphone, mic in, pedal. The Mk3 includes an audio interface enabling you to sample directly into it and keep everything wired to one central hub. It’s highly convenient although it probably won’t replace a standalone audio interface.
The real appeal of this controller (aside from being rock solid) is removing some of the more tedious aspects of production. That allows ideas to flow faster, and the Mk3 gives you an arsenal of tools to grow them without ever opening an external DAW. If you’re a fan of Komplete, itching for a new (better) way to get sounds out of your head, or just want to dive into a world outside of the DAW, you can’t go wrong with this.

This is the better option then the studio and micro simply because of the options it's the best of both worlds into one machine..the fact that you won't even have to turn to your computer as much cause most of the work can be done in this machin, as it it complement with the komplete 11 wow I would eventually upgrade to the 12 but for now I have plenty tu options to chose from..

I come from a background of using mostly hardware and needed a machine to give me computer and daw integration and still having some hands on control. There was a learning curve to this machine for me, which at first was frustrating, but the process was very rewarding. Once you get used to the workflow it is very logical and made my productions a lot easier then when I used strictly hardware. I loved the drumsynth that is included in Maschine fro creating drums. The sequencing and then dragging and dropping my patterns into my daw(logic x) really was a game changer for me.

I made first initial payment, a few days later Fed-Ex was at the door. Its been 6 months now since then, and Im beyond happy with my purchase, They are very lightweight and I can either put the Mk3 or Jam in a bag with my laptop and be on my way to the studio. But What came to mind just now as Im typing this is that I never have to think about the monthly payment of $79 thats automatically paid from my bank account. I told quite of few aspiring music producers I ran into about AMS they were surprised and happy that such a company existed because I told them it took more time going thru their catalog than the 2 minute purchase process Lol. I bought this as a gift for my husband. He is a music engineer. He was very excited to get this. He actually recorded himself opening this baby! He has made some awesome beats with this machine. I have been a NI user since 2015 I have been along for a great ride of improvements. If your on the fence about joining the NI side of production my question would be what are waiting on. A little about me and why I say this. I have 2 gold and two platinum feature releases were I noticeably stand out on the songs as a young champion. I understand quality sound due to my associating with the best. NI delivers on this well sought after sound that the greats will only accept on their track. From a mixing stand point the quality is already there. Regardless of genre (I listen to everything and you should too) you will be able to sound very professional out of the gate. MK3 or Maschine has a slight and I mean slight once you figure it out learning curve, but youtube should be all you need to get a good forward motion. The quality of the unit is superb. I own also the old micro and she still handles business with no glitches (Unless it's a plugin LOL) or problems after this many years. I would highly suggest getting one of these powerhouses.

Upon unboxing this beautiful beast of a Maschine, I was blown away! It comes in a smooth black kit, two crisp displays, touch-sensitive knobs, touch strip, and a jog wheel that can control and navigate smoothly within the software and plugins. I previously purchased a Komplete Kontrol S61 Mk2 along with Komplete Ultimate 11 last year and I love how my workflow has "Drum"atically improved when including the Maschine MK3 to my production station. I was super excited when I found out that they included Komplete 12 select when you register your MK3. I did further research on Komplete 12 Ultimate and I am definitely interested in updating my Komplete 11 Ultimate. It's so worth it! I'm saving up for it now, so in the meantime, check it out for yourself! To sum it up, the MK3 makes arranging your sounds, adding effects, and creating ideas super easy. I saved the best for last, It comes with a built-in Audio Interface so you can just plug in your headphones or studio monitors and start creating! Take my word for it, if you've gotten this far, buy this Maschine. You won't be disappointed. Native Instruments is top quality and has never disappointed.

My only complaint is one I’ve had for years... it would be nice for a detailed arrangement view and to be able to export to mp3. I know that’s hopeful wishing since it’s been years, but maybe one day. I like maschine better than mpc but if detailed arrangement like in ableton, fl studio, logic, etc and being able to export your song to mp3 on the spot is a deal breaker....you might wanna go with a mpc.

This mk3 is beyond amazing!! It will enhance your sound to a much higher level even if you have a really good sound already. I've used many DAW's and many midi controllers and this is hands down the best to me. The number 1 thing that stood out the most to me is the quality. Everything is so crisp and on point. The manufacturing of the mk3 is out this world! Shout out to Germany! Everything is at your finger tips and 1-2 clicks away. I'm at the point where I don't even touch much mouse or keyword when operating through the computer and not even looking at the computer screen. The display on it is crystal clear, the pads are extremely strong and can take a hard beating without any glitches and any other problems you can think of. The response time on it is so on point, it's scary. During each session using it, I find myself on it for 5-6 hours at the minimum. I'm a die hard FL studio user, but this maschine has changed my sound drastically! The stock so ds and plug ins are so dope and the quality in them are just wow! The work flow alone is a great experience. After using the maschine, my work process has been cut in more than half the time and that's key. It literally took me 2 days to get really comfortable with it and I've never owned a native instruments product. Before the mk3 and using maschine, I was using FL studio and a akia mpk 61. Now I barely look at it. Anyone can use this, even kids and will catch on in no time. I highly recommend everyone to use it or at least give it a try.

I bought Maschine MK3 and Maschine Jam as a package and have no regrets what so ever with it! Maschine is just awesome and very fast to create ideas with! Within hours I was creating song ideas and having a blast with it! Maschine just gets it done. I will be buying the Komplete Kontrol S88 to complement Maschine MK3 and Maschine Jam. The way all of this hardware and software have come together to function as one modulator and scalable song writing too is incredible! There is nothing like it out and I highly recommend it!

I bought Maschine to add not only control for my DAWs (Reason/FL Studio), but also because of what it comes with as well. Creativity can come from steeping outside of your comfort zone. With this and Komplete Kontrol, I can do so much more than just mousing about on my computer alone. I’m quite pleased with the possibilities.

Got my mk3 about a month ago and haven’t put it down yet. I was a avid mpc and fl studio user but this replaces them both. I’ll still use them but the workflow on my mk3 has me in a zone. Wish it was truly stand alone like the mpc, but the ease of use makes up for it. Add it to your production tools and you won’t be disappointed.

Maschine is great. Maschine inside Reaper, as a VST plugin is even better. Maschine MK3 as a general midi controller.. HEAVEN.
Native Instruments and their Controller Editor software... perfection. I love the 4-way encoder and how it can be assigned to anything in Reaper, and then have different Templates where the encoder does something else. Amazing. As cool as Maschine Studio (used in a similar way) but.. no power supply needed, just USB. Tremendous.

This is ovbiously a great product with multiple uses and capabilities, but for a beginner who happens to be an actual musician it remains an extraordinary mystery. That is to say, the product itself is geared towards those who are already knowledgeable about the first two iterations of the Maschine. If you are unfamiliar with this piece of equipment but have been seduced into acquiring it because of its legendary status and ubiquity- don't be discouraged if you can't get it to make a sound for 3 weeks like me! You must persevere. After many hours of searching the tutorials on Youtube about the MK3 Maschine by both amateurs and professionals I finally found some users who were willing to walk a beginner like myself through the details of this musical platform/interface. The many levels, functions, and shortcuts are daunting and the device is definitely geared towards today's technology guided "music creators", but there is still a way to intergrate this device into the creative world of the old school musician... It just takes some getting used to... I'm certainly not sorry I purchased it, just surprised by the presumption that anyone who buys this device would already know how to use it.

I don't know why I held off upgrading from my MK1 for so long! The ability to execute ALOT of the functions directly from the hardware with the utilization of the screens is pretty friggin' incredible! There is a learning curve to be sure, but inside of 2 weeks of heavy use and in conjunction with YouTube tutorials, you'll be able to fly on this beautiful piece of equipment. I will say that some areas of opportunity exist with the integration of the inputs. If you're recording guitar directly into Maschine, I'd use an amp, pedals, or a DI box. Also, you WILL need a second set of monitors to be able to monitor the output from the mic input and line inputs from Maschine. The other thing to remember is to change the source of the audio on the hardware itself (look at YouTube videos on how to "sample" into Maschine directly)PLUS in Preferences, Audio, Output in the software.

This Machine is awesome. I’m still learning it but I can’t say enough about the set up and the work flow. The sounds included are top notch and I couldn’t ask for anything thing better. I love the sequencer on the Mk3, it very tight and settling up a midi controller to play the many internal sounds in kontact. I love the build of the device, the color displays that can be assigned and the drum kits coming ready out the box I’m just blown away at this unit.....

I’ve been in love with this maschine since the day I got it! I’ve had it for a year and I’m still learning new stuff. The sample is easy with the two screens and different sampling options! Pad response is great, wish they were a little more spaced apart because I have fat hands but that’s not a big issue at all, that’s just me nit picking. This machine changed my whole workflow for the better. I can do some stuff in seconds that used to take me 10 mins to do with the mouse. Leaves more more room for trial and error! The plugin feature is also great! I use it in protools and route my tracks to aux channels, so that way I can mix as I go and record directly in to protools when I’m done arranging. I would highly recommend this product if you don’t have a controller at all. It will change your life and sound! This was my first controller and it did not disappoint at all! Worth every penny!

I spent HOURS looking at videos and tutorials online, watching people use the native instruments Maschine to great music...and I was hooked and knew I needed one. Being a father of 4 boys...the first place I looked was for a used MK2 (older maschine model) because of the price. It never worked out the way I needed it to...And then I found I American Musical! They allowed me to make the MK3 a reality...And I haven’t looked back. The Maschine has been my most used piece of equipment I have. From the color lcds, the workflow, the software...absolutely amazing. Hats off to American Musical and Native Intruments for making this fathers music dreams come true!

I bought the MK 1 (pronounced Mark 1, not MmmKay) when it first came out and lost interest in it fairly quickly. There was a lot I liked about it, but equally as much that I didn't.
Fast forward nearly 7 years later, and the MK3 is a refined piece of kit. The clicky buttons feel nice, the pads are ultra-sensitive which make for expressive playing, and the screens are bright and readable.
I have committed to avoiding the piano roll as much as possible, instead focusing on playing everything by hand. The MK3 helps me in this mission.
While editing notes using the screen is a laborious process and equally a chore in the machine software (seriously NI, please study how FL Studio does a piano roll), getting lost in a creative jam session all while recording every event is a joy.
The MK3 has plenty of features to help beat writers block and keep a song progressing. My favorite feature is the chord mode, where hitting note repeat automatically turns it into an arp.

I recently added the MK3 to my studio, at first I didn’t know what to expect coming from the MPC I had high expectations. The first thing I recognized about the MK3 was the build quality, it has a premium build and the pads are soft to the touch, much different from the MPC but they still feel premium, it was easy to setup I was up and rolling in less than 30 min and the software is easy to navigate. This is definatly a product I would recommend for any musician no matter what your skill level is you will love ToThe MK3

The Maschine MK3 is my first purchase towards my music production journey. Not only is it easy to use, but the software is very straight forward and anyone can set it up. I purchased it through americanmusic.com. They have the best finance system on the market and it made for a very pleasant and easy shopping experience. One thing I will say is the mk3 isn’t very midi/daw friendly. I’m still trying to figure out how to connect the two to directly record into pro tools. All in all though, it’s been such a great purchase.

This is hands down the best midi controller I’ve ever used! I started out very small with a launchkey mini and my friend had the Mk2. I knew it would change everything about my sound and it literally did. It’s so easy and quick to get my ideas out and mapped out. This is an awesome piece of equipment. I did months of research, on this and other units, I decided on the Maschine MK3...and after a few days, I knew I made the right choice. The unit is beautiful, classy, pads feel great, not too stiff or too soft...perfect. I love the duel color screens, and the user friendliness of the MK3. Since having it (bout 2 months) I have made about 60 beats on it, averaging bout 1 a day, some days I will churn out 3, some times 1, sometimes I don't make may, but I am on it everyday even if just to revisit the ones I already made, to add some tweets to them. The learning curve was short, it came with a lot of sounds, adding my own was simple, sampling is superb..compatibility and set up, quick, & it being an interface make it clutch. The Chord function has taken my production to new heights, I have been able to get my ideas out and displayed musically correct effortlessly. Export is a breeze, & there are so many features I still haven't used yet, get it..!!

Ive had the MV8800 and MPC 5000 and this Maschine is very close to those two.
This version of f the Maschine is very good and even though it’s connected to my MacBook I don’t have to look at the computer at all. In fact whenever im using it my computer screen shows my screen saver which is a picture of my nephew lol.
I create hiphop music. Some by sampling and some with just vst instruments. The MK3 gets the job done but some features I feel that the software is missing or should have but it’s not a DAW but for making a sample base beat it gets the job done and it’s very reliable.
I also own a MPC Live. Which is in the shop ??
I had a Push2 which I sold.
The MPC Live was my favorite because of standalone mode but it was unreliable and I had to ship it off for repair.... I’m still waiting for it to return so I can sell it.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I have to say that this is the most thought out, complete, and quality piece I have ever come across. I've owned several "drum machines" and this cannot even be put into a single category. Its a complete production tool. It just happens to have the most responsive pads on the market, but it just gets started there. Add in the ability to use it as a host controller for playback and mixing, an NKS controller, or a Maschine software controller.. you cannot go wrong with this one. After several prior models, I feel like NI has iterated the hardware almost to perfection and hit this one out of the park!

I love this maschine, it makes production easier and faster. Its a great buy for all producers, but especially the ones that have no piano experience. Thats where the real magic comes in. I would suggest buying Komplete Ultimate to compliment this purchase. I already owned it and it just made things lightning quick!!! The only thing i wish, was that it had an onboard HDD, and rechargeable battery for standalone operations.

My favorite sample player with the power of a DAW. The MKIII was an upgrade from my MKII and having the new on hands control, dual screen and better pads was well worth it. I create my own drum samples and use them right alongside what Maschine offers. I also use Maschine as a sequencer, master clock and midi controller with my Eurorack System and other synths rather often, as it contains so much power here in standalone or as a VST. The Dual Screen has great resolution pulling me further from the PC and Mouse. The build is solid from it's case to it's buttons. The new audio inputs makes it so much easier to capture samples. The Maschine Audio Driver works great as a standalone but it also functions under other drivers like my Presonus AR22 ASIO Driver. Maschine software is great but I would like to see them create a add the ability for a recordable tracks for outside instruments instead of tricking it's sample player. This is my go to drum machine...

I really wasn't sure if this was for me when I ordered it. I had just recently purchased the NI Komplete Kontrol S49 Mk2 keyboard and immediately fell in love with its amazing capabilities. I watched a couple of online videos of how this drum controller could complement the keyboard and how it's easy to learn and the interface is similar to the keyboard. They were right! I am still learning to use it, but so far, it's blowing my mind. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a capable, quality, and versatile controller.

After owning both the original maschine and its micro version, I wasnt initially impressed- selling both products to friends. So years later I debate on whether to give NI another chance or go mpc. After much research and leaning in the MPC's direction, I made a last minute decision to try the mk3 based off a fellow producers experience with the Maschine Studio. Boy I am not disappointed. I love the mk3 i recently bought a interface to hook my speakers up at home away from my studio. I was able to send it back because the mk3 has a built in interface. To all pf those that want to get in the world of music production, this is the way to go and this will be your best friend. I’m a huge Native Instruments fan and coming from the Studio to the MK3 this thing is exactly what I needed. Does most of what my Studio does on top of being portable and with a built in interface, I can now take one bag with my MPB Pro, my portable midi keyboard and my essentials on the road when I travel to make music in other cities. Just awesome!!!!

Best drum machine out love that it’s also a audio Interface and can sample rite in the stand alone daw. You really don’t have to open up another daw unless it’s time to record vocals .. you can mix and get the sound right in the stand alone software

This by far, is the best piece of gear one could ever own as a producer and beat maker. My work flow and efficiency has gone up big time! I highly recommending the upgrade from the MK 1 or 2. If you use Akai, make the switch to Maschine MK3. You will not regret it.

Hey! Wow... i can’t believe Native Instruments actually sold the MK3 for so cheap! I feel like this is the Maschine Studio! I’ve had every maschine they made , except for the mikro. I sold the studio and went back with the MK2 for portability , then this comes out and bam! Crushes the mk2.. i can’t wait to see what they do with the Maschine Studio now . This pads on this mk3 are aammmaazzinngg! They should have been this big from the start! Anyways, great great buy!

I have a Maschine Studio and a Maschine Jam, both stay in my lab 24-7. I was looking for a used MK2 and a bus powered interface to take on the go without having to plug anything into the wall. Luckily I hesitated long enough, I pre-ordered this thing the day I saw it announced because it killed 2 birds with one stone, maybe a few more birds went down because I also didn't have to give up my displays, and I got a touch strip, only one, but it is better designed (physically) than the touch strips on the Jam, also I prefer the horizontal rather than vertical orientation.
For me the redesigned pads are much more playable, but I use all 5 digits on my right hand, if you're more of the one/two finger on each hand type then it probably doesn't make a difference to you.
The dedicated pad mode/keyboard/chord buttons come in handy. The interface has been pretty solid so far, my gripe would be the volume knobs for the headphones and line out, they're a little hard to get a grip on to turn them

If you're just starting out it’s great, but if your a vet it’s garbage and just another controller that will get outdated with updates. The software is the main focus not hardware. It’s always good to get something new but this is just that something new but it makes no difference which controller you have you can accomplish the same results. Don’t be a hardware junkie save your money.

From the Mikro to the Maschine Studio, this is the best iteration yet! Form all of the commands that you use to use shift for, that’s all gone. You now have dedicated buttons for all of the pesky shift shortcuts you use to have to use. The screens let you not have to keep looking up at your computer screen. They are bright and very clear and vivid. The audio interface is such a plus and works great! I think the only way they could make it better is with the MK4 is to not have a computer to hook it up to and it be a stand alone unit. I would highly recommend this as an upgrade even if you have a studio. It made me sell my Maschine Jam. I no longer need it. Buy it, you won’t regret it!
