I have been a fender guy forever . I dont know what happened to them but over the last 5 years not one amp has lasted a year before needing repair . I borrowed a friends Peavey in a pinch and dug the shit out of it . I bought this amp and cab and it rocks . Lets see how it goes .......

Really enjoy playing the Classic 20. This is my first true tube amp and man is it a step up. Super bluesie crunch tone and still plenty more gain in this puppy. This thing has more features then I know what to do with. This little guy is a tone monster. I'm so glad I bought the Peavey Classic 20 head. I will have this amp for many years to come.

The Peavey classic 20 Mini Head has the clean tone I was looking to find. It also works well with pedals for that overdrive tone. Overall, I am impressed with the classic 20 mini head.

At first I wasn't real impressed with this amp, but then I started tweaking the equalizer and the wattage attenuator. Don't expect top rate tones through headphones. That feature is for silent practice and should be viewed as such. But, coupled with the Peavey 112C speaker cabinet this amp really sings, especially in the 20 watt setting. At lower wattages the 1 and 5 watt settings are great on the clean channel but lack in bass responses in overdrive mode. A good OD pedal solves this issue. In the 20 watt mode the bass comes to live and this thing roars. Cleans are comparable to fender Blues Deluxe and Blues Jr., with the Peavey sounding more full. Tweak those EQ knobs! This amp is a keeper.

This sounds a lot like a fender in some ways to me. I have owned about everything out there, and this amp has a lot to offer. But I am very impressed with all the features, and different sounds you can get out of it. The controls all change the amps tone and sound to something new, unlike a lot of amps that you get one sound and that's it. It takes pedals very well, and is very dynamic in several ways. I use to gig with a fender evil twin, and only played on the 25 watt setting with volume at 4 and was still to loud. The 20 watts this has to offer is good enough to gig with and not break your back at the same time. How many of you have had 30 ,40,50 watt amps and played with a band and never have it past 4 or 5 and at home hovering between 0 and 1. You really need to try this amp out. It has a wide tonal character to please about anyone. I usually only keep an amp about 6 to 8 months then I go searching for a different tone or sound, but this has a lot to offer and will hang on too.
