This amp will shock you. Amazing sound from a small package. The controls are very functional. The EQ works fantastic. One of my favorite aspects of this amp is the auxiliary input with volume control. It allows you to effectively mix the bass with the input for a great sounding practice. It’s not as loud as you would expect for 100 watts. It is perfect for small gigs and practice. I will be trying the line out this weekend. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a compact powerhouse for your bass.

I bought this amp to practice with my electric upright bass, the sound is fantastic it has a great true sound with my accoustic guitars too, from my upright, fretless accoustic bass and my uke bass. I use it to practice with my band and they can't believe the sound or the power it has, easy to bring around to practice or to a small gig, so sweet.

I purchased this amp after reading many reviews and watching several YouTube videos. I needed a small amp that would fit in my office, but I did not want to compromise on sound quality. This amplifier delivers. When my Fender Player Series Jazz bass is plugged in, the sound is clear, punchy and well defined! When I purchase a larger bass amplifier, I will go with Phil Jones, and only from AMS!

Lightweight, powerful, and amazing sounding. I was worried about the power/volume from the other reviews but I found it to be just loud enough to play in a band setting for rehearsal or small venue if your band is somewhat professional at what they do. If you are a high school rock band then you might want to either practice to become un cretin like, or get a bigger amp.

The sound is good but it doesn't get loud enough to gig with at all. Roughly the same as a 25 watt Fender Rumble which is 1/3 the price. Great tone, and obviously well built, but if you think you can do any jobs with it you will be disappointed. If it was rated at 25 watts, I would have given it 5 stars, but it claims to be 100 watts so I'm being nice giving it two. Also, I wrote Phil Jones about the volume problem, they don't return emails, so no customer service.

Great amp. Rich tone. Easy to dial in the sound you want. Complements both J Bass, which is where it really shines, and P Bass. Phil Jones is now the choice in amps in our household.
