So I purchased this am being a metal guitarist but also Mark Tremonti is my pick for favorite guitarist. I do not have his style of playing(mainly due to the fact that he is on a level higher than mine if course lol) I have a heavier touch of writing music. With that said this MT-15 has a level of sound you wouldn’t think you could get of a compact tube head. It blast and man is it great for my heavy riffs and my darker clean tones. Add a delay pedal and your soaring with notes and timing of a wave a sound that is just remarkable. I love this amp and do recommend.

I don’t even know where to begin. I knew prior to purchasing that it was going to be a top shelf unit, but I was still surprised once I got it and plugged in. I’ve played through a lot of tube heads, my previous favorite being the Mesa triple rect. But I can honestly say the MT15 puts it to bed. Which leads me to my next point, 15 watts??? No way. This thing is beyond a beast, paired with the PRS Archon 2x12 cab it’s plenty loud enough for live shows if you can’t mic up the cab. Just overall the perfect amp. From build quality to tone, they didn’t cut any corners.

The PRS MT-15 has won my heart. This amp has more volume and gain than any other amp in its category. I play all sorts of genres of music, from Technical Deathcore to Clean Church music,and this amplifier has the versatility to make sooooo many different tones that all sound really good. The Clean Channel and the lead channel have their own eq section, which make it super simple to switch back and forth between channels without switching everything up on the eq to get the tone you want. Most of the other Lunchbox amps do not have that feature and share an eq. I'd recommend this amp to anyone trying to save space. This little box can compete with the big ones.

I am overwhelmedby the clarity and power of the PRS MT15 Tremonti Signature Amplifier. The Tone adjustments are Phenominal and the amount of Power is good enough to play Live with my band. Tube Distortion is also very well textured and clear. I highly recommend the Head Unit with 60 years experience with Guitar Amplification.

This little 15 watt amp is 'The perfect' gig and rehearsal amp. I can get ANY sound or tone using the two channels Clean and Lead. No Reverb but a very quiet effects loop, takes every pedal cleanly with change, perfect. The Clean channel is so very quiet that I can barely hear it at room volume and up close to speakers, WOW, that's quiet. The Lead Channel is simply wonderful, I can adjust the three EQ'S, Presence and Gain controls and get EVERY tone.

If you're a Tremonti fan you especially need this. It can unlock every tone you've ever heard on his albums. That said I got this for a little different flavor and to backup my EVH 5153 EL34 (50 watt). This one is almost louder at 15 watts. Crazy amount of power! You'll need the 7 watt option for bedroom playing, trust me. Not much I can say outside of for the money this amp is very high quality.

Crisp clean Channel and amazing dirty channel. I love how the channels change colors (blue for clean, red for distorted). I play anything from jazz to blues to country to metal and I was surprised how versatile the tone can be without effects. I plugged a line 6 helix through the effects loop and wow they work great together. In addition to the head I purchased the matching cab and they sound amazing together. The tone stays consistent whether your playing at a practice level or at a live level. I was surprised at the amount of volume you get from such a small package. This will be a wonderful recording head along with a great live setup! Nice teamwork with PRS and Tremonti!

I've been playing on this for almost 2 months now and I gotta say wow!I have my LTD Hetfield Iron cross plugged into it and the sound I can get out of it is massive. The most impressive sound you can get is with the clean tone! If you're looking for a very portable amp head to take on the road or to just keep by you on the couch then this is perfect for you. I recommend this and I'm very happy with this purchase!

I love this amplifier!the all metal frame and half power switch on the back makes it the perfect power house for stage or home rehearsals…the distortion is so heavy and sounds as good or better than any Mesa boogie or Marshall amp I’ve ever played.And most importantly,you don’t have to break the bank to purchase one there so reasonably priced it’s and amp you just can’t afford not to buy it.you have got to go try one out at least one time you want be disappointed…oh and make sure you buy it from AMS and it will get to you safe and sound.Jon S Hyatt.

This thing gets loud. The 6L6 tubes look are towering in the back and with all the preamp tubes it's loaded like most 50 watt amps,and then some. No wonder the distortion channel sounds so good. It's impossible for it not to. It has a nice tone to it. Clean channel is very good too. You aren't going to find to many amps you'd want more than this one in power, sound and price. Paul Reed Smith and Tremonti did a great job on this little beast.

So many positive reviews there's not much I can say that hasn't already been said. Lightweight, looks killer, and sounds incredible. Punches way above its weight class. This little 15 watt head is loud! Easily handles band rehearsals paired with a V30 2x12 cab. It has a great metal tone but can do classic rock or blues just as easy. Clean channel isn't too shabby either. I've seen some folks complaining about noise in the FX loop. I run a Helix in 4CM and do have a little hum but nothing noticeable at band volume, and with standard DC effects it's pretty quiet. Overall I am very happy with this amp and with AMS!

Taking nothing away from PRS or American music supply. I received my prs mt15 but the cab is one back order. PRS is my favorite company and the quality of the product and performance is unbelievable! Due to the state of our economy, I can only hope it’s a big contributor of the back order of all cabs from them.

Even though it's 15w it sounds as loud as a 100w amp. I have to wear ear plugs to play this even on half power with the volume at -2-! The tone is thick and warm, Bass is punchy and solid. Only thing I don't care for are the bright red LED lights, I was leaning over the amp plugging it (without realizing the switch was ON) and got blinded by the lights. Not a big problem, just watch your eyes when over top the amp.

You want djent?? You want heavy metal?? You want death metal?? Will you came to the right place.. Paul Reed Smith and Mark Tremonti have collaborated on an amazing lunch box amplifier small enough to throw in a bag and take it to a gig.. the gain on tap is just insane!! The cleans our luscious and Crystal clear and this thing is loud period it is loud enough to keep up in a band setting no problem. I love the crunch and the searing lead tones I get from this thing period as soon as I took it out of the box I plugged it up and set everything at high noon and had a usable tone without tweaking.. in my book is a big plus.
It was so easy to order from American music supply, they have a budget payment plan to fit everybody's needs and that allows the average working Joe and common musician to afford our dream gear we've always wanted. Thanks AMS!!

Love the head, no boost pedal needed, it cranks like nothing I’ve had before, then again this my first tube amp and I love it!!! I definitely would recommend a noise gate though, to help cut back on the noise and the feedback!!! It’s very loud even with the volume on 2, it shakes the house!!!

Man, this amp. It's the real deal and for almost half the price. The clean channel sounds great even with everything at 12 o'clock, let alone once it's dialed in. The gain channel is killer!From crunch tones to full high gain metal this thing just nails it! One of my favorite things about this amp is the individual EQs for each channel, it's an absolute game-changer. It also comes with a footswitch, which is makes this amp the full package. Just go buy one.

This head is a Beast! Perfect balance of warmth and crispiness! The clean tone is warm like hot cocoa and marshmallows on a winter evening and the distortion is as meaty as a Texas barbecue! Blackstar HT40, Vox AC15, Laney SLS, Marshall DSL100,= all the amps I bought and tried before the PRS MT15. Great gain channel, even better clean (clean "pull-boost" is brilliant) channel that takes pedals exceptionally well. After 3 years and probably 3K my tone quest has finally ended. I bought this amp a few weeks ago and I have been very impressed with it. It is very loud, even though it’s only a “15 watt head”. The clean tone is amazing but the lead tone is where this thing really shines. Incredibly tight for rhythm playing and amazing clarity for the leads. Amazing tone for such a small amp.

Was looking for a low watt head and it was either the PRS Mt15 or the Blackstar
HT20RH mkii, had a chance to play both side by side and the choice was obvious, the Mt15 was the way to go. Clean channel produces sparkling cleans and the lead channel kicks butt.
The eq for each channel is responsive, you can dial in your perfect tone.
Connected a reverb and delay pedal to the effects loop and did not experience any noise , which some other users complained about. I do wish the supplied pedal had a second footswitch to turn the effects loop on and off.
Had a question about the 6L6GC MS power tubes and reached out to the PRS support team, I received a response in less than 24 hours.
Great amp, great customers service!!!!
Glenn at AMS x6070 is the man and their customer service is exceptional as well.

At this price point, most amps are not necessarily gig volume ready. This little guy is definitely a 50 watt head disguised as a lunch box head. Has that beefy sound you might get with a Rectifier or 5150 for half the price and half the size and weight. The clean is also really solid and pedal friendly. Love it and would recommend it every day.

When size doesn´t do justice! If you want/need great souding distortion/overdrive, this will make you very happy! Honestly I only ran it through my 2X12 that was in no way meant for this head. I am currently finishing a 1x12 cabinet with a Celestion G12 70W that should be a good fit for the MT! I will review later on. The clean sound is also amazing, so it´s not just a dirty sounding amp. As everybody has said before, for the price this is a killer all tube amp!

Where to begin? First, if you desire impeccable clean tones, stop now and buy this amp! Tremonti is known for his high gain lead sound, but he’s also a clean afficionado. This amp’s clean channel sparkles and sings out! Throw in the push/pull boost knob and you start to get a little breakup, especially with a higher powered pickup. I also used a blues driver and got some decent blues rock tones with it.
THEN there’s the lead channel! Wow! This thing is loud! At full or half power, this amp can drive the accompanying 1x12 to band practice levels and maybe beyond! I also used a 2x12 with it and could maybe coax out a little bit more. I LOVE the lead tones on this thing! Clear, articulate, and easy to play without being fizzy or fuzzy. Harmonics come naturally and when cranked, the lead channel still has a dynamic response. This amp was definitely well thought out and made for a player’s player.

This is the best lunchbox amp I have played. This sounds like a full size head but in a smaller, quieter package. The cleans are great (Think Fender) and the Distortion channel is like a cross between Marshall and Mesa with harmonic complexity for days. I cannot recommend this amp enough! Excellent buy!

This is a great two channel amp, perfect for modern high gain or classic rock, the clean channel is a great pedal platform if you're in to that. Construction seems very solid, and the amp looks and sounds great. Liked the amp so much, I picked up the matching cab, which also sounds great, and makes for a compact, yet powerful rig. This amp is plenty loud for rehearsals or gigging with a loud drumming rock band. Great job Tremonti/PRS!!

I'm calling shenanigans on the 15 watts. This thing is LOUD! Such a great clean channel. The overdrive is really useable.
I really wish the pull boost was foot switchable. But, at this price point I can understand why not. I'm having a little trouble getting the channels to change using the HELIX. Probably user error.
Best bang for the buck amp out there right now.

It's no surprise that this is a high gain amp, and it delivers in that regard. I especially appreciate the tight bass and articulation when playing chords. The clean channel is surprisingly good, too, and I've enjoyed its chime. The only knock is minor: Given that the power switch needs to be toggled to the "on" position to work, one would think that the standby switch would operate the same way. That's not the case with my unit; the amp is not in standby when toggled to "on." It has standby, though, I just need to keep the switch in the downward position. Maybe they reversed the wiring accidentally? Nonetheless, I've been able to work around it, but it certainly caught me off guard the first time I booted up the amp. All in all, the amp is awesome if you want some pretty impressive gain stages!

Love this amp - tons of gain on tap and a great clean channel. I recommend you play it first - I bought it based on YT clips that had that Uberschall/Mesa Rec-ish time and though my amp sounds great it doesn’t sound like that. Still a great amp.

To start, I’ve been looking forward to this thing since we first started hearing whispers of the amp a year or so ago. My hype only increased after attending Winter NAMM earlier this year and playing it myself, as well as hearing Mark Tremonti and Vernon Reid from Living Colour rip through this thing. As an avid fan of both Mark and PRS, I knew it was a must-buy product.
So after 6+ months of waiting, I’m thrilled to say this amp not only met my hype, but far exceeded it. This “lunchbox” amp is an absolute monster that fools you into thinking it’s a 50W Head. The clean channel is super glassy with tons of headroom, and the rhythm channel is the stuff of a metal head’s dream. There’s more gain you could possibly need on tap, but it still takes boosts and other pedals extremely well.
For the price, this amp is an absolute steal. I own both this amp and the 100 watt version of the PRS Archon, and I’m now having a very hard time justifying the almost 3x price difference between the two.

There is so much tone in this amp, it is really amazing. Like my description states it lives up to the hype. The distortion on this amp is great and the clean channel is nice also. This thing roars and can be used in a bed room all the way up to a stage. This amp is worth getting and you will be surprised by its awesomeness.

This is probably the best amp I have purchased for the money, way exceeded my expectations. nice clean channel with ample headroom, but the dirty channel is the heart of this amp, fantastic low end sounds and clarity. don't let the 15 watt rating fool you this is one loud amp
