This is my second guitar. I originally bought a new under-$200 guitar, but it was too long, heavy, and had a bent neck. I stepped up to a used PRS Santana SE for about $500, and there is a world of difference. This is easier to hold, more balanced (for me), and it plays a lot better.

The guitar is beautiful, although this guitar did come with a few problems, I let it sit 24 hours before I took it out of the box, tuned it up, realized right away that the selector switch has a short in it, you have to play with it to get it right at times. The pots were really scratchy, but I did detox them and they seem better now. Had to set this guitar as out of the box there was too much neck relief, and it had problems staying in tune even after stretching the strings, but after replacing the strings, so nut sauce and a good setup it does play good.American Musical did offer to do a return and send me a new one but I opted to keep it, and am now waiting on PRS to either send me a new switch or replace it. I do have 3 calls in with them and no response yet.

Buy it! Simple enough. PRS is really no to something here. I honestly don't think there's a better value out there. This guitar falls in $1000 area for price point and I can easily put this up against my Gibson Sg 61 reissue that coast $2000. PRS is just killin it!!!!

I already owned an earlier PRS SE Santana model. I have owned it & used it as my main workhorse for over 7 years now, so I already knew about the playability & craftsmanship of the SE line of guitars. I ordered this new one, mainly because I LOVE the YELLOW color, as Yellow is one of my fave colors, and I have yet to own a yellow guitar. Well, this guitar did not disapoint !!!! It came set up & after some minor tuning, ready to play right out of the box/gig bag. MY review: I LOVE THIS GUITAR !!!! It is a Very Beautiful Guitar & plays GREAT !!!! No Complaints from me. Very happy to add it to my guitar collection & it now shares the stage sitting right next to my original Red PRS SE SANTANA Guitar !!!! These guitars are QUALITY Items. If you have been on the fence about ordering an SE, well, you need to get off that fence and get one ordered !!!!

PRS Guitars have taken off recently, and for good reason. Solid craftsmanship and great woods are on display with my Santana. Love the yellow color, too - it's like looking into the sun. Best aspect of this guitar: sustain for DAYS!
