While others may be dissatisfied with this mic, I feel its one of quality at an affordable price. While there are certainly higher quality mics than this, I found that with my Zoom F6, recording in 32b float, I'm getting very pleasing recordings that are clean, noise free, with good rejection of background noise. I'm very happy with my NTG2.

Used this mic for a short film, possibly the best mic I've used in ages. I can only imagine the newer versions better, but this is just amazing. Get one!

This is a great entry level shotgun mic. The sound I've gotten out of it has blown me away and definitely taken my video productions to the next level in terms of sound quality. The rejection and directionality of this mic do not dissapoint and I love that you can power it with a double A battery instead of phantom power.
