Product Rating Sturdy, nice weight, excellent response, feels like a hi hat pedal. Just plug it in and your good to go. N/A Your general opinion of this product. All in all I think this a great Hi Hat trigger to own, especially if you own the previous Roland FD7 Hi Hat Trigger (which was a little more bulky and had a few extra parts that were not really needed). Ive owned this for about 6 months and it still plays like new. it has a great heavy duty weight to it but is small for portability. I think its a good price for this trigger because it looks like its made to last. Nice look with brushed aluminum black base. Not only does it play nice, but it looks nice.

good hi-hat pedal for old TD-7 drum module

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
light weight yet solid and made well enough, simple design is smooth operating. base is stamped metal, pedal is aluminum, switch housing is plastic.

FEATURES:
supposed to send open, closed, and half-open sounds to module, but half-open isn't working on mine (roland TD-7). includes easy manual, stereo cable, and drum tuning wrench for adjusting pedal travel.

EASE OF USE:
obvious and simple to use. probably works better with other drum module.

VALUE:
a bit pricy considering what it is.

SOUND:
you don't really get a good snap like a real hi-hat, at least using with the TD-7. I'm using the CY-5 for the hi-hat cymbal, which works and sounds good itself.
